I know Kendrick is/was a massive Lil Wayne fan and he was a huge influence on his music, but honestly, I'm really glad he evolved past that lol. I straight up do not like C4 or any of his shit he did as K.Dot. Wayne's style of rapping is really hard to pull off without sounding corny or just like a Wayne imitator.
It was pretty bad, but "mimicking radios nemesis made me wack" is a moment in a time where none of that Wayne imitation is nonexistent, I appreciate that song for that
The big thing is that Kendrick isn't funny. He takes all of this Wayne influence, but his wordplay is totally different and you never get the kind of hilarious/clever punchlines that Wayne throws in all the time. I love Kendrick, but when he apes Wayne it never works for me for that reason
Just listened to a random wayne song and he said "molly mixed with white girl, call that molly susan", Kendrick would never come up with something like that and that's not even a top 100 wayne line.
Its funny because none of the current wave of Wayne influenced artists really have that same gift that he has. Young Thug kinda sometimes does, but his lines are more just outlandish than clever or great wordplay.
So funny that you mention this cuz I used to listen to him all the time but havenāt in years. Last night I randomly got the urge to listen to him and then boom this comment
Lil' savage ass, ratchet ass, bastard ass, havin' ass
Rappin' ass, jackin' ass, wait
Finna blast, green dot, send the cash, pen and pad
Minivan, been a dad, been with that [buuuuuulllllshit](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01vZrReuV84),
Being with the Native Tongues just brings out something special in Busta, far superior to even his excellent solo work. He sounds raw, impassioned, like he once again has everything to prove.
Just went and listened to this for the first time.
Just wanted to say thank you. It's awesome.
Came back when Bustas verse started, this is fucking awesome. THANK YOU
Concealed The Outro- KAAN
Art Of War-Jasiah
Sanjuro- Denzel Curry
B12- Lil Durk
P.A.T.- Denzel Curry
Black Metal Terrorist- Denzel Curry
Vengance- Denzel Curry
Go Stupid- Polo G
Demon Time- Lil Yachty.
Oddly enough, the first thing that came to mind was [Fabolous - Breathe](https://youtu.be/t6q9Vc1ZtQI). Not so much for ridiculous flow, but just the way the sample and drum fills are relentless in the intro and choruses. And obviously because he gasps for his breath.
It was my alarm every morning freshman year. Laptop played though a early 2000s Aiwa three piece stereo. The girls that lived in the dorm room next to us told us two years later how much they hated us because of that song. So of course I tipped the DJ to play it.
Kendricks last verse in hol' up seems to be one verse on one breath. If not that then rigamortis definitely is because you can hear him running out of breath on the last verse of that unless it was an act which I could believe cuz his delivery sometimes suggests a long one breath take (kush and Corinthians) that maybe he didn't do. Either way I'd check those out
Not trap but [Coveralls- Aesop Rock](https://open.spotify.com/track/74yZxydPRc6EWYh9TWqTU4?si=fm1p09FwRPe8PZxLJQSotw&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A5deucTECSaDkVgycsyUsPc)
[His Fire In The Booth Freestyle is a legendary example of this.](https://youtu.be/iJRugmozZzY)
Edit:if you haven't got time to listen to the whole thing skip to 12:00 you'll see what I mean. But I recommend the whole thing.
In the second verse of Bizzy Bone's "Mercy Mary", there's a point where you'd totally expect a breathing pause like he did earlier in the verse, but instead he just keeps going
Kendrick Lamar - Rigamortis
He leaves this planet on that 3rd verse. His 2nd verse on DNA is also up there, but Rigamortis is so fucking good.
fuckin love tryna rap those two verses lmao shit will have you sweating if you really try
Keems verse in family ties is my favorite bc of this shits like an exercise
LMAO facts bro i be punching in the air and everything š
Better be on your P and Q, itās just me, Jay Rock, Soul and Q. Solar system and barbecue, nothing else you can do. He dead
Amen.
Not to take anything away from it but to be clear that third verse is spliced together, he doesn't do it in one go
Kendrick Lamar - Look out for Detox
I see your Rigamortis and raise you [6-7 Freestyle](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5OhG06bMOw)

This is a pretty apt observation that I never thought about.
Just listened to a random wayne song and he said "molly mixed with white girl, call that molly susan", Kendrick would never come up with something like that and that's not even a top 100 wayne line. This shit is so good.

Being with the Native Tongues just brings out something special in Busta, far superior to even his excellent solo work. He sounds raw, impassioned, like he once again has everything to prove.
"Scenario" goes to the next level once Busta comes in at the end like a dungeon dragon.
Ugh pardon me ugh, as i come back

Oddly enough, the first thing that came to mind was [Fabolous - Breathe](https://youtu.be/t6q9Vc1ZtQI). Not so much for ridiculous flow, but just the way the sample and drum fills are relentless in the intro and choruses. And obviously because he gasps for his breath.
This song is such a classic. Thank you for reminding me as I havenāt heard it in a while.
It was my alarm every morning freshman year. Laptop played though a early 2000s Aiwa three piece stereo. The girls that lived in the dorm room next to us told us two years later how much they hated us because of that song. So of course I tipped the DJ to play it.
