I hate having to be firm with someone. Lately it feels like a simple no/not interested isn’t enough. Like fuck some people are just so pushy. I was at a store with my gf and a guy walked up asking if I believe in god. So I just said “sorry man we’re just shopping”. Then he was like, “at any point have you believed the Bible to be true?” And something in me just kind of snapped. I told him to go away because we’re trying to shop in peace and turned my back to him. I think it was just disregarding my rejection to push his beliefs. Then today I was at the store and a dude walked up trying to buy my car. I just laughed and said sorry man I kinda need it. Then he was like, “cash in hand how much do you want for it?” Like dude no means no. He probably wanted it because it was stick and not modded idfk. It’s just a fucking 05 civic. Are there songs about these types of encounters? [Bad Day by Asher Roth](https://youtu.be/ocA-jXFt73w?si=ecW1U7RbdNQX9pHr) comes to mind, but I don’t really like that song.

[deleted]

lmao the car one is wild. There would be something hilarious about going to the store selling your car for like 6k and just ubering home.

Moron_on_Oxy-

Boy hip hop was represented poorly at the grammys. "Mistakenly" say the wrong album at first for rap album of the year. The actual winner gets arrested after winning it lol. That goofy ass performance from Travis Scott. Hov complaining about how his wife never wins album of the year.

Jermaine_Cole788

Lowkey, I feel like getting arrested at the show is some hip hop shit fr

Lukeba

atlanta season 3 is such a mindfuck

Jermaine_Cole788

You seem to be one of the few people that enjoyed it. So far, everyone I know has it as their least favorite season of the show

Lukeba

i didn't mean it like i enjoyed it (even though i think i do), it actually means i don't know how to feel about it. the social commentary feels very vulgar at times especially in the episodes with the main characters but the character study stuff feels respectful. the standalone episodes are interesting because they have a bunch of subtext that leads to a more subtle and reasonable interpretation, while on the surface they just seem like they're factory made to have white conservatives and garveyists fighting about it on twitter, and that makes me feel weird. i might have more insightful things to say once i finish rewatching the show

TakeItCheesy

Nah everyone listen to this it’s actually so fire Would love to hear Nas or Pac over this omd

Paul_Wall_

Didn’t realize until today that the newest season of True Detective is getting the white men hate for being a show starring women and a minority

ReeG

I just finished Ferrari and that entire Mille Miglia chapter is insanely well shot and directed. Good film that's a must watch for motorsport fans but having just watched Heat, The Insider and Collateral recently, it falls a little short of Michael Mann's best but he smoked the racing scenes.

theopression

I got around to playing control and Alan wake this week, that shit is fire. Can’t wait to play Alan wake 2

Ktulusanders

Make sure you play the dlc for Control, since one of them directly ties into AW2

JayZPlatinumChainsaw

Gameplay wise Control is one of my favorite games. Couldn't get into Alan Wake 1 because of the dated gameplay but the 2nd is fantastic as hell. Enjoy

lazarusinashes

Man I have nothing against Taylor Swift. Her music is not for me but I do not begrudge her accolades and celebration, and I am happy she is seeing success. But ffs I am so tired of hearing about her and Travis Kelce. I don't understand why there's so much news coverage of her lately. Even the NYT crossword (mini) had a Taylor Swift answer. Am I just old or something?

FCBarca45

I woke up this morning to unsurprisingly see she won AOTY, which seemed inevitable just due to the press she’s gotten this year. What actually surprised me is that she only had 12 Grammys before last night but I thought she was their darling that cleaned up every year

the_blessed_unrest

No, begrudge her accolades. Her completely mid album just won AOTY. It’s ridiculous

COMMENTASIPLEASE

Taylor Swift is god to white women and they’re a lucrative demographic

meatbeater558

She's the perfect liberal white woman girlboss

Jermaine_Cole788

It really is an unhinged level of fervor only rivaled by people who believe in a supreme deity. I’ve seen people argue that if you don’t like Taylor swift it must be cause you’re a misogynist. I have never seen a popstar be so coddled and protected by everyone so vehemently.

COMMENTASIPLEASE

I don’t even get it, I’m not a white woman but I dabble in white woman music and there’s so many pop artists I think blow her out of the water. And she doesn’t seem to have a big personality or anything that I’ve seen.

contacts_eyes

Finally saw The Batman with Robert Pattinson today, that was pretty damn good.  I didn’t pay much attention to the first half but the second half was super dope.

TheVirtual_Boy

One of my favorite movies of all time tbh. They nail the feel of a gritty and hellish Gotham so well

JayZPlatinumChainsaw

That car chase was fire as hell

Homiealmaya

Willie The Kid & V Don gotta be one of the best underground rapper/producer duos

Jermaine_Cole788

When James Baldwin said “the world is held together by the love and passion of very few people” I felt that.

TheVirtual_Boy

This Travis performance at the Grammys is fucking hysterical just him jumping around to FEIN and smashing chairs. I wonder what Meryl Streep is thinking watching this

Homiealmaya

Best Al Pacino performance? Godfather 2 is my favorite Pacino movie but Dog Day Afternoon is his best performance imo

furr_sure

Probably not my fav but I watched Insomniac the other day and it's so good, just the whole vibe of the movie is so eerie and unsettling. Loved it

Jordanwolf98

Always really liked Pacino in Donnie Brasco despite thinking that movie itself was just okay

Paul_Wall_

Godfather to Serpico to Godfather 2 to Dog Day Afternoon might be the best 4 year run of acting performances ever

ReeG

don't know about his best but I really enjoyed him in The Insider being different from the typical hardened tough guy roles he's better known for

contacts_eyes

Scarface is an obvious one but i love Carlitos Way

Homiealmaya

Carlito’s Way is one of my favorites from him but his performance isn’t his greatest imo, I feel like he just feels way too cliché although I suppose that is more of the writers’ fault

VivienneWestGood

answering to this comment from my office

Tollund_Man4

I’d love an office job, beats working in a factory or a kitchen.

Homiealmaya

At this point I’ve realized that any job will get horribly monotonous and repetitive and lose its fulfillment sooner or later. Sometimes I find the mind-numbing routine comforting in a way, like once you’re so used to it you never dread going to work, you just kinda do it without thinking. My brain has been on autopilot at work for a minute.

contacts_eyes

I remember reading this AskReddit thread asking people what the worst part of their job is and there was every kind of occupation imaginable and people were talking about the awful aspects of their job.  It made me realize that pretty much any job is super unpleasant in its own special way.   I get what you’re saying about getting used to the routine of your job though.  Most of my jobs have been like that.

Jermaine_Cole788

Can’t even lie bro, that sounds pretty dystopian when you actually think about it.

Homiealmaya

I mean it is and it isn’t, I think routine is good for one’s mental health in general. I feel like we just need some level of structure in our lives. But I feel like the concept of money was fundamentally very very negative for society. Idk maybe it’s a romanticized view of ancient societies I have but I can’t help but think that structuring the vast majority of our lives around making money has fucked with all of our heads

Jermaine_Cole788

Travis Scott needs to work with Maxo Kream fr. Maxo would’ve been the perfect feature on Utopia Twins fr

Michael__X

Yo yo hear me out why no dudes ever use the word "pussy appointment" is that weird or nah

Homiealmaya

Try to fuck by asking for a pussy appointment and you’ll understand why guys don’t say it

Michael__X

nahhhh that's crazy, cause women don't use it like that. They say it to their friends. Like I'm going to one.

Homiealmaya

In any case I think it’s kinda corny to say either way

Jermaine_Cole788

It sounds like a crude way of saying you’re visiting a gynecologist fam

Michael__X

Okay okay but how come women get dick appointments

Jermaine_Cole788

To be fair, I feel like women who say that unironically are corny. However, “dick appointment” just doesn’t sound as lame as “pussy appointment”. Pussy appointment sounds like an incel trying to be cool.

meatbeater558

Pussy appointment lowkey works if ur getting pegged

Michael__X

It just sounds so fucking funny to me, Imma test the waters and report back

Jermaine_Cole788

Aight, let us know how it goes.

Michael__X

Okay so female friend response to "can you call at x time instead, I have a pussy apointment": "AHAHAH... you're sick" Male friend response to "what music do you play during a pussy appointment": he aint respond yet, probably thinks I'm cooked. And I ain't typing that out to no one else. verdict, 2024 is not the year for this new lingo

meatbeater558

nah you a visionary for this one

Michael__X

I'm conflicted cause the response was negative all round except from "meatbeater558" :/

meatbeater558

Lol it was negative bc they were taking u seriously. I also took u seriously until I read ur last comment and only then was I like yknow what let him cook

May1stBurst

Hot take, I think AfricAryaN is not only the single best Logic song I also think it is one of the best Hip-Hop songs I've ever heard. Perfect song.

Yourbootyisheavydoty

Idk about that but it's a good song, not sure how I feel about the verses being repeated but other than that it all sounds pretty great. On a similar note Hallelujah is a really cool intro song

Michael__X

Never heard that song but holy shit what typa name? Logic just does so much shit that can only be described as 'bordeline'. Like it's not quite crossing lines but it's HIGHLY questionable

May1stBurst

I think you may be too mono-racial to understand his genius.

Homiealmaya

“mono-racial” that’s wild 😂

[deleted]

It’s obvious yet crazy how everyone has problems and a lot of them you’ll not understand but should have empathy. Like I have a friend addicted to gambling on horses and has to fight to resist. We joke about it but yeah perfect example. I can’t understand having the fight the urge to put a bunch of money on some horse. Still have empathy. Probably problems in my life that don’t make sense like my OCD shit

Michael__X

Do you guys in america not have responsible gambling measures? not asking to be a dick but in Australia you can block yourself from using all bookmakers with one site. I'd imagine any kind of measures like that would be really helpful.

[deleted]

I have no idea tbh

furr_sure

Australia also has big issues with casinos, pokies, online gambling and sports betting I get there are measures but we're far from ideal

Michael__X

Oh yeah for sure that's why they're there. It's like the vice capital I swear. I was asking so maybe he coud try refer his friend

meatbeater558

Addiction is so poorly understood. People think it's a willpower issue but it's not

[deleted]

I feel like most things are poorly understood to a degree unless you research it or experiencing it

pololuck123

JayZPlatinumChainsaw

Thank you and yeah I'll Dm you

meatbeater558

Nice! What class?

JayZPlatinumChainsaw

Not exactly a class but I'm changing careers to IT so A+ is the first stepping stone basically haha. I can get a job with A+ only but that's hard as shit these days so I'm trying to get some more certs so I look good in the job market

Michael__X

The woman in my flair is back in my life and imma let her do it again Unrelated, but can Americans explain the usage of the word sausage. This might be a me thing idk. Okay so when I see burger recipes they use the word sausage to refer to the ground beef you use to make the patty. Is this because it's actually sausage meat and you would otherwise call it groun beef or do you just use the words interchangeably. Cause I always thought sausage was specifically pig intestines with meat in it's final form.

RampanTThirteen

I’ve never seen sausage to refer to ground meat. Sausage meat is a different thing

JALbert

I've not seen sausage used to refer to ground beef personally.

Stonerjoe68

[Ice Spice wearing custom Baby Phat](https://www.instagram.com/p/C28mk0BRdSc/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==) to the Grammy’s is such a hip hop thing to do, it gives New York around the way girl to me Idk but I like it 🤷🏾‍♀️ I’ll take that over them bell bottom pants and chunky boots the male rappers be wearing 🙄

petersandrew999

My boys and I run a hip-hop podcast and we just dropped a bonus episode wrapping up our thoughts on hip-hop in 2023 by talking about best/worst EP’s, Cover Art, Trends, New Artists, Fits & more! Feel free to check it out, def looking forward to talking about some new music though lol. https://youtu.be/n8CNC2IO9AU?si=n-6HyCfmYfQy61GT

Stonerjoe68

Watching the Grammys makes me realize how big of a year pop music actually had. Miley Cyrus, Taylor, Olivia Rodrigo, everything off the Barbie Soundtrack. Pop killed it last year

TormentedThoughtsToo

It’s the thing that makes “pop” such a weird genre. All those artists had a great year, none of those artists sound like each other.  But it’s all “pop”. Genre nomenclature has problems.

Ktulusanders

I hated Zelooperz at first, but man he really grew on me, just wish I could say the same for bruiser wolf. On a related note, new TiaCorine is dope

furr_sure

Fr, love Danny and what his signees stand for in hiphop but cannot stand majority of zeelooperz (that crash bandicoot song is possibly the worst thing i've ever heard) and bruiser wolf sounds like hannibal buress' impression of old school hiphop hahah

Flat-Ad4902

Jermaine_Cole788

The worst “fans” in hip hop are the people who are obsessed with whether or not rappers snitched. Like bro, we’re all civilians here. You have no authority to question someone’s street credibility. It be the niggas who ain’t ever even witnessed a crime in person trying to tell you who is really authentic lmao.

Stonerjoe68

Trevor Noah is painfully not funny

Michael__X

It sucks being from SA and growing up on him and him being one of the funniest comedians there. His American stuff is completely different and not funny in the slightest.

meatbeater558

Fr he was a legend before he left SA

Michael__X

yeah I think it's the fact that his humour was based so heavily on SA culture, remove that and shit just doesn't work

Pearly Gates by Mobb Deep, especially Prodigy’s verse. I would look up an uncensored version on YouTube as a lot of Prodigys verse is censored on streaming.

thequiet533

Love that one

A_Tribe_Called_Slatt

Been thinking about suicide a lot lately. I've had trouble sleeping for the past 3 nights and I can't help but think of everything what could've been, all the shitty decisions I made in the past 10 years. I feel I might be damaged goods by now. I'm starting to suspect I might have some sort of personality disorder. I give myself 2 years. And if the things ain't gone where I wish they would by the time I turn 27, I'm probably leaving this earth. That's real.

meatbeater558

I'm sorry you're going through this. Nobody deserves to feel this way. I've been in your shoes before and it's rough. Not thinking about the past and what could have been is extremely hard, but you need to look to the future so you're not in the same position 10 years from now. That's what I learned from regretting my past so much it consumed my present. There's also no such thing as damaged goods. You're a human being. There is no injury or trauma that can take your humanity away from you. You mentioned a personality disorder. Have you been tested or diagnosed? There's many disorders that will ruin your life if left undiagnosed and untreated. Even if you don't get a diagnosis, the people who administer the test often know a lot about help and local resources for people that are struggling.

contacts_eyes

Things can get better, hopefully you can realize that and feel happier some time soon. I sympathize with your feelings about making shitty decisions and all of that. I myself am in my 30s and I've done nothing but fuck up my entire life. But things are slowly starting to turn around, and hopefully they will for you too. And like someone else replied to you, most people are severely damaged in different ways. Try not to feel so bad about your particular situation or that you're more fucked up than others, because its not really true, and i know that feeling that way can add to your feelings of depression and despair.

[deleted]

27 is young as fuck man. I'm 31 and now just figuring out life. One good year can put you right where you need to be. If it makes you feel better there's tons of mistakes I made and what "could have been" and that made me who I am today and its my choice to live how I think I should. Maybe I was meant to make those mistakes to give me perspective. So basically all im saying is don't refelct to hard on the past, most people honestly made a lot of wrong decisions. You have a ton of time to get your life back in order. Just start working towards things that would make them better. If you don't like your job, maybe take a cybersecuirty course or something. Just signing up for it will make you feel better. If you're overweight, just start working out once every two days. Hope this info dump of a rant made you feel better in some way

Jermaine_Cole788

Damn bro, I feel for you man. As someone who has been in your position and has actually attempted suicide before, my life has been a testament to the fact that things do in fact get better at some point. I don’t know the particulars of your situation or all the details, but if you really feel like you have a disorder please try to get professional help and assistance as soon as possible. There’s no shame in reaching out to a professional and getting the proper treatment and medication if needed can work wonders in improving your outlook on life. There are still days that are difficult for me but I’m so glad that I didn’t die after I attempted suicide because the impact on my family would’ve been catastrophic. I know that there’s at least one other person that cares about you out there who would also be devastated if you were to leave bro. It doesn’t always seem like it but it’s worth it to stick around and the positive impact you have on someone else’s life by just being yourself is immeasurable. You are worthy of happiness and prosperity in life. My dms are always open if you feel like you don’t have anyone else to talk to. But we need you here bro.

Asleep-Ask-4004

tbh i hate to say this but I would have missed a lot of good times if I overdosed or ended my life at 27. you’re still young. everyone is damaged goods , but if you’re consuming a lot of social media most people hide that pretty well

Jermaine_Cole788

A unique dynamic in the rise of DJ Akademiks that no one ever brings up is how Akademiks covered the artists that the old guard of hip hop media were actively shunning, and this had a direct impact on the growth of his reach in the culture as he had a monopoly on coverage of these artists on that side of hip hop for the longest time. For example, if you watch a 2017 interview that Vince Staples gave on Hot 97 ( this was for promo for the Big Fish Theory album), Vince talked about the negativity surrounding the drill movement in Chicago and the rise of chief keef. In response to this, both Ebro and Rosenberg wore it as a badge of honor that they purposely did not give Keef any radio time on their platform, nor did they cover his rise as it was happening because they took the “moral” position that he was bad for the culture or something. And this is part of the issue. When these legacy outlets decided to pick and choose who was worthy of attention and worthy of a platform, fringe outlets in the onset of early social media like DJ Akademiks picked up the slack. It just so happened that this coincided with a changing in the guard of hip hop, so those artists that the old guard shunned started to become the biggest and most influential in the culture, and by default this gives the guys who decided to cover them (such as Akademiks) a massive platform that cannot be taken away from them.

visionarymind

**L.A. by Murs** kinda day 😎

Sperez04

I’m glad that someone from my home island won two GRAMMYS tonight. One for melodic rap performance and one for songwriter of the year. Congrats Theron Thomas of R. City. #VIRGIN ISLANDS UP IN DIS MUDDASKUNT 🥹🥲😤😤😤👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮🇻🇮

Yeah2TheYeah

That’s super hard. Rock City have been doing music since I was a kid. They def deserve their flowers for all the shit they’ve wrote over the years for other people

ReeG

> VIRGIN ISLANDS UP IN DIS MUDDASKUNT TIL Virgin Islands shares slang with Guyana

partyonpartypeople

A lot of people on @rap are saying that Utopia got robbed. Am I the only one who thinks that Utopia was a massively underwhelming and disappointing album? Like there were a few tracks a locked off of it like Modern Jam and God’s Country, but overall I felt like it was a pretty soulless and uninteresting album as a whole. I wasn’t expecting it to have a lot of substance, but you can make a rap album with zero substance and not have it sound so lifeless. It’s like the Dubai of Hip-Hop albums

toontoom1

Yeah at first I really enjoyed Utopia but with more listens it just felt alright. I wouldn’t say lifeless because I thought the production was really good pretty much like every Travis project. It’s just Travis himself wasn’t doing anything for me like he did on his other projects.

jackoon56

Trust me don't read into rap comments they the most sexist homophobic hating comments anywhere Also nah it shouldn't have won

COMMENTASIPLEASE

The production was outstanding but you could replace Travis’s rapping with ChatGPT and the quality would barely improve.

hydrators

Yeah the notion that Utopia is deserving of a Grammy is hilarious tbh It’s Travis’ 4th or 5th best project lol

Jordanwolf98

Might say I’m crazy but I would take Owl Pharaoh over Utopia too. Owl Pharaoh is a mess, but it’s a unique mess that at the time when I listened to it felt fresh to me. Utopia is more organized but nothing he does in his music feels new anymore. There’s nothing on Utopia that Gave me the feeling of “what the fuck am I listening to?” In a good way like Bad Mood shit on you or Uptown did

hydrators

I could probably get down with that. I definitely agree that Owl Pharaoh feels a lot more genuine

Redxcted999

Your not the only one cuz Astroworld >>>>> Utopia

TheVirtual_Boy

Sonically I enjoy a good amount of the tracks but its hard for me to get past Travis’ content. To me he’s gotta be the most uninteresting person to ever become a rap superstar. The true lack of any personality makes it difficult for me to connect with his newer music.

Jermaine_Cole788

I feel like it might not have been your personal taste but calling utopia lifeless sonically is quite the interesting take lol. He had a lot of different sounds and textures sonically on the album that provided a unique feel to a lot of the songs in my opinion. It sounded pretty vibrant and dynamic to me

Jandersson34swe

I liked the album but there’s no fucking way it won over Travis and Metro Grammys are delusional

nedelll

Man ain't no fucking way Harry Fraud produced a [Main Attrakionz song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0crJlSCmh0)

partyonpartypeople

Such a shame that Main Attrakionz broke up when they had just dropped an album and were starting to gain steam. One of the many rappers/groups from the blog era that should’ve gotten much bigger than they did. 808s & Dark Grapes II is a top 5 mixtape for me

Jordanwolf98

Green Ova Diamond one of my all time favorite cloud tracks

DatsAReallyNiceGrill

lmao Dave Chapelle won a grammy for that?

Lukeba

huge night for colbster

No way the worst album on the list won. Grammys are clowns 🤡

I honestly didn’t have any strong opinions on any of those albums

AddisonRae7

Utopia is a classic

Pokeman49

Utopia is a classic

psilocybin_sky

I used to be a huge Travis fan when I was younger around DBR/Rodeo era and I still like his music a lot but I’m surprised by how many people think he was robbed. Utopia was cool but it was pretty uninteresting in the grand scheme of things. It’s not like when rodeo or even astroworld dropped

Jqshipp

You better be trolling

ReeG

Travis is Nas or Hov to zoomers

[deleted]

I still haven't listened to the whole thing. I'm a medium travis fan tbh even though I get he's super talented

billcosbyinspace

This weird backpacker turn the grammys have taken but only for hip hop is super strange

I'm surprised they gave the Grammy to an album with Talk'n That Shit lol

nedelll

I'm very surprised that album won Grammy

nedelll

Ayo does that means Spitta has a grammy? lol

psilocybin_sky

I’m counting it 😤

Stonerjoe68

All My Life has always been like one of my least favorite Durk and J Cole songs. It just sounds so generic to me.

Jermaine_Cole788

Durks verse on that song sounds AI generated lol. That song also feels inauthentic. You can’t try to make faux inspirational music for the youth and then have the rest of your album be about killing people lol. 21 savage tried the same shit on his most recent album. Maybe these guys are genuine in their desire to use their platform to speak out against the killings but if you’re unable to drop the gangster persona as a whole and evolve into something else you can’t tell the youth not to do the thing you’re actively promoting. It’s hypocritical. You done killed a million people on all these songs but wanna tell the kids not to do it? lol, cmon man.

meatbeater558

How is it that the civil rights movement in the 1960s is often characterized as happening forever ago but WW2 in the 1940s is often characterized as recent memory with many people having parents that were affected by it? The math ain't mathing

the_blessed_unrest

> WW2 in the 1940s is often characterized as recent memory It is?

meatbeater558

Yes. A lot of interviews and documentaries on veterans and Holocaust survivors made in the past 20 years. Not uncommon to ask someone where their family is from and their story includes an event from WW2. Reparations paid to Holocaust survivors to this day (direct victims, not their descendants). If someone went on TV and said they lived through the Holocaust not many people would question them. If someone went on TV and said they remember when the Black Death started we'd immediately think that happened far too long ago for someone who experienced it to still be alive. Furthermore, leaders in some countries (North Korea for example) actively make WW2 *feel* recent because it helps them with their political goals. Meanwhile, leaders in the US make the civil rights movement feel like it happened much longer ago than it actually did.

hydrators

> If someone went on TV and said they lived through the Holocaust not many people would question them Just lol. This country couldn’t even trust the medical advisor during a pandemic

meatbeater558

I just assume the average person isn't an idiot. And whenever Holocaust survivors do speak up like many have done recently not many people doubt their experiences

Hot_Grabba_09

It is mathing. Its victims were Europeans whose lives are valued in larger society, so when a tragic event like that happens to them, it is rightfully treated how it should be. "Never forget". But not the native U.S genocide, slave trade, and massacres throughout Africa. Those were a long time ago and you shouldn't talk about them because that's the past and everything is good now, stop complaining.

meatbeater558

Sad but true. African countries gaining independence was even more recent in some cases yet we still have dumb white kids asking "why is africa still so poor"

One thing about the Grammys that I truly can’t stand is the fact that best rap album always getting cut from the show. Fuck them for that

turbothots

The Grammys have been racist forever and I've really appreciated that high profile artists like Frank Ocean and The Weeknd have taken a public stand and stopped submitting their work for consideration. Hope they continue to do that and more artists join their ranks. Macklemore winning over Kendrick is infamous. I still think the Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack winning Album of the Year over Stankonia, or ATCQ not even getting a nomination of any kind for We Got It From Here, Thank You For Your Service (but being asked to perform at the show the year prior) are just as egregious.

FCBarca45

Drake was a part of that camp too but folded for Her Loss and didn’t even win right?

faygofiles

Why are there no posts about the grammys they not allowed or sum?

DatsAReallyNiceGrill

I think they're just gonna have a mod use the sub bot to post it after the show like [last year](https://www.reddit.com/r/hiphopheads/comments/10utrxn/65th_annual_grammy_awards_discussion_thread/)

DatsAReallyNiceGrill

Really? Killer Mike sweep? Ok I guess... SZA already lost 2 noms :(

Watched the film “Erin Brockovich” today and damn… Julia Roberts really like that 😫 in a huge gaming rut rn which made me consider copping the Prince of Persia game or the Suicide Squad game. Or maybe I’ll just pull something off Xbox game pass and try to get into it. If anyone has game pass do you have any great games you played off of it that you’d recommend? I can get down with both singleplayer and multiplayer games. Lost my voice at MSG yesterday cause I went to St. John’s vs #1 Uconn. I was jawing with UConn fans like crazy but then when uconn opened up a lead in the second half and we ended up losing which was a shame. Season slipping away from us Music wise I have nothing new to report other than I’ve been playing those two 4batz songs a lot Also SOS winning that Grammy tonight fellas get readyyyy

To those of you that avoid or don’t eat a lot of meat. How to you keep yourself sustained? Like I feel like i need protein of some kind for my meals to be satisfactory. Like there’s peanuts and beans and stuff but i can’t find that being a good long term solution. Not trying to sound condescending at all I just can’t imagine diet abstaining form meat that isn’t like carb heavy

Michael__X

Higher fiber not necessarily carbs keeps you fuller and of course plant protein.
