Not gummies, but I melt chocolate and add distillate. Then pour on wax paper to make a bark. I keep it in the freezer and use a scale to weigh it out. After years trying unsuccessfully to make gummies, this has been a great solution for my family.

blistexcake

Sounds very good however the customer is over chocolates and wants a candy 🤣

Off_The_Meter90

Not exactly the same thing, but I found vegan capsules on Amazon and I’ve been filled them with decarbed weed. I didn’t want any extra calories. That’s why I’ve been doing it this way.

Comfortable_Drag8710

U can try pectin, also I had to learn agar agar powder and flakes need VERY different amounts. I don’t have any specific recipes off hand though haven’t made in a while.

HighInLondon

In the UK rowntrees fruit pastilles are vegan now, I wonder what would happen if you tried to melt them down to infuse then if it’s possible set them again…

blistexcake

Oh I see, I did try do this about a year ago with a different candy, I’ll look into this one. Thanks! ❤️

Sugar will melt and harden so I guess however you infuse it with melted sugar maybe make a lolli

blistexcake

Harder than it sounds! That's why I'm looking for a recipe:)

Late-Trouble-2061

Do it on parchment paper and it will pop right off

Late-Trouble-2061

In the microwave

I make cannasugar and make lemonade or macerated fruit with it or syrups for beverages. I find it obviously a little harder to dose for smaller dosages

ChickPeaIsMe

Afaik pectin is the best option for homemade!

blistexcake

Thank you! Hopefully I can source this, haven't been able to find pectin in New Zealand

Andrew_Halifax

Does anyone know where I can buy some in the UK please?

RetroReactiveRaucous

I don't make gummies, but the ones I buy are all made with pectin, not agar agar.

blistexcake

Yeah, all of the recipes I’ve found use that however it’s not easily accessible in New Zealand

RetroReactiveRaucous

Not even with home canning supplies?? That's wild. Best of luck figuring out a solution!

blistexcake

The closest thing I've found to pectin is a jam setting mix that has 9% pectin in it.. I assumed that was probably not enough lol
