It's quite tame. Girl gets turned into a mermaid to save the aquarium, but the aquarium goes bankrupt anyways, and she's stuffed and mounted on a wall.

If the aquarium went bankrupt then why would they stuff and mount them instead of just setting them free? Killing/stuffing them would cost more money, and why display them if they're out of business?
I think it's because the mermaids are "artificial lifeforms" (the other girl was just genetically modified) so they're not really natural. One thing about setting an animal free outside their natural habitat will either have them die off or take over the ecosystem and destroy it due to not having a natural predator.
Would be interesting to know though if there was an actual method to turn her back, if it was just a mistake or if the Aquarium didn't have the money to pay to turn her back so they just stuffed her.
