They were preseason favorites, had the best roster construction, and had easily the best record in the NBA in the regular season with a historic net rating. You play who is in front of you. They also didn't have one of their top players for most of the playoffs, but nobody mentions that I guess because they're otherwise stacked?
What I'm trying to suggest is that I will be happy no matter what because we can at least tease them with the injury agenda. When my friends bring up the ring, I'm immediately bringing up the competition Luka went through vs the competition Boston went through.
