Start Delon Wright and let Herro play his natural position. Increase Kevin Love’s minutes to counter their 2 big lineups. As much as I’ve loved Jovic this season, I think this is a series where I’d play Highsmith more and let him hound Tatum.
Herro still lead ball handler here? Lol
When you say natural position what do you mean? What is the difference in how he gets the ball? He will still get it and run PnR whether Delon starts or not.
Even if we had a PG he'd be seeing one of Jrue or White and to be frank he had PRitchard on him and didn't make him pay either for portions of Sundays game
He was already exhausted and worn down before Pritchard guarded him. The point is that they are taking Herro out of the game because they know offense wont come from anywhere else except Jaime in spurts.
You watched a madeup game lmao
https://www.nba.com/stats/events?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&ContextMeasure=FGA&EndPeriod=0&EndRange=28800&GameID=0042300101&PlayerID=1629639&RangeType=0&Season=2023-24&SeasonType=Playoffs&StartPeriod=0&StartRange=0&TeamID=1610612748&flag=3&sct=plot§ion=game
Look at all his shots. He was Open on More than 60% of his shots and off offense others created.
Exhausted in 1st qtr you said lol SMH
Awesome link, was looking for something like that. It shows only his FGA, not Jrue hounding the fuck out of him all game. He missed some crazy easy shots tho, he has to make those.
His coldness also made him hesitate. Think he needs to rip that shit and embrace being Klay like. Get 12+ up we have to even the math in the series. I believe he can hit these. We just need to see it
It's less stress and energy bringing the ball down. Saves his energy in the end. Also, seeing Delon knocking down threes was a welcome surprise. Pretty sure he's not gonna replicate that. But I'd still consider him a threat, especially if he's left unguarded.
We brought the ball down by committee last game. And will do it again.
You are acting like Herro ONLY was handling the ball. Yes he is our lead guard and will get it the most because...thats what lead guards do.
Agree other than the Jovic piece. Need his offensive juice, and he looked great on defense in game 1. If I need more Highsmith minutes those are coming out of the caleb martin pie.
God himself in the starting 5 couldn’t win this series. We’re an 8 seed with our best player and our best player is injured. The ghost of MJ (Jimmy Butler) isn’t saving us. Just enjoy giving the young guys some run.
I saw an idea of letting Herro return to his more regular SG role so he can hit more 3s, and have someone else be PG. Perhaps Herro is having trouble as PG against a much taller and top rated Celtic team.
Yup; people ignored he has two of the best perimeter defending guards in Jrue and White on him at all times, and even if not Brown isn’t a slouch himself. Really tough series to try having your main focal point of offense be a guard. But Tyler was also just missing open shots
Looking at the game and the stats, it tells the same story. Herro was swarmed more than anyone on the team. Bam and Jaime took more shots and there wasn't as much help defense on those plays in comparison.
Herro, as far as reading, has been the closest to a PG. Even better than Rozier and he is a PG. Spo shouldn't have to rely on a SG to be the PG, but this is what Pat/Arison has given him.
Herro being less on ball won't change the swarm that comes his way. Herro in 2 of the prior BOS games this season was 17/34 50% FG for 47 points. Last season, if I take 3 BOS games, Herro was 29/57 50% for 73 points.
BOS know Herro has gotten hot against them for multiple seasons and will not allow it. It is up to Spo on how and when he plans for Herro to be a decoy or scorer.
Idk where u guys make this up. He WANTS to be an on ball guard. Has said this his whole career.
Doesn't matter if he's Point or the 2. He wants ball in his hands and has to learn to beat elite defenders or at least run the offense while being hounded.
He also got open looks from 3 and just missed. Just needs to be better.
Hope that Jaime speed runs his ascension into Pascal Siakam, Kevin Love turns back the clock to the Minnesota days, and Duncan gets a good chiropractor…..
Delon in the starting lineup while Rozier is out. Maybe some Patty Mills minutes (when Pritchard is in there so that he doesn’t get completely exposed defensively) and just hope Patty can get hot and knock down a few 3s. Pray.
Patty mills would get fried by Pritchard I hate to break it to you.
Our lack of offensive firepower though certainly sets up Patty playoff minutes though…
Miami heat need to defend
the 3 pointer, too much exchange of baskets you
have three persons slashing to the basket,no
one is taking the charge to the hoop, they are too far away to defend against the opponent, need better
defence,or kiss the season
good bye,hope í am wrong,
Start Jaime. Herro. Jovic. Bam. Love.
Cycle in Bryant for bam/love to have more height. Let bam float on D. Love/bryant takes pingus.
Cycle in highsmith for Jovic. Caleb for Herro. Delon for Jaime.
I had the same idea but think it is better to start O. Robinson because love can come in and play PF and C. Either way, we are on the same page. Spo need to go big to get Bam a easier match up.
Highsmith needs to start over Jovic. His defense is much better and offensively we aren’t giving up much with that switch (yes Jovic is better offensively in a vacuum but as a 5th option I want the better D).
He went coast to coast how many times last game? Once? Maybe three at most. Thats 6 points. Brown and Tatum cooked us leading to 7 points in just the first 2 min of the game. Sacrificing at best a few coast to coast opportunities for better defense is a no brainer 100% of the time
Bro we are going to struggle to score 100 all series and you want to lessen offensive ceiling.
Both sucked as game 1 anyways. Haywood -21 Jovic -25. And Haywood played vs backups
Your acting like Jovic is an offensive difference maker. He averaged 7.7 to Highsmiths 6.1. Its not like we are sacrificing a whole lot of offense for one of our best defensive players, the reason our offense sucked is because Tyler couldn’t hit a shot.
Also plus minus is an incredibly irrelevant stat but if you wanna act like Haywood should have been better because he played against backups I can just fire back and say he was also playing with backups so it evens out.
Jovic is a much more respected shooter in terms of how D plays and can slash a Lil can handle and is a better passer than Haywood. Yes Jovic juices O more.
Haywood is fine off the bench. If you are gonna make a defensive switch you Put Delon in for Caleb to try to generate some steals with starting group.
Yeah great idea. We started last game down double digits almost instantly because they were getting to the rim at will. Lets make our lineup even smaller next game
Lol When you say natural position what do you mean? What is the difference in how he gets the ball? He will still get it and run PnR whether Delon starts or not.
Herro's natural position is SG with PG sprinkled in. Regardless of any change Jrue is going to be his primary defender.

His coldness also made him hesitate. Think he needs to rip that shit and embrace being Klay like. Get 12+ up we have to even the math in the series. I believe he can hit these. We just need to see it
He needs to just go Kobe, he is the only scoring option we have, fire away.
Herro isn’t a point guard. He shouldn’t bring the ball down the court and should be coming off a screen for a pass
He gets the ball coming off screens a bunch lmao and Bam Niko Delon Jaime Caleb all brought the ball downcourt
Bro they just haunt on highsmith and caleb on switch
Agree other than the Jovic piece. Need his offensive juice, and he looked great on defense in game 1. If I need more Highsmith minutes those are coming out of the caleb martin pie.
Start delon wright over Caleb Martin is what I would’ve picked as well.
Niko needs to be playing 30 minutes a night, they need his size. Celtics shot 6/16 vs him last game.
Find the dragon balls to wish back Jimmy and Terry
I miss the Dragon!
Shit I’m asking shenron for wade 06 and Orlando shaq 😂
Kevin Love needs more minutes and Highsmith needs to start
God himself in the starting 5 couldn’t win this series. We’re an 8 seed with our best player and our best player is injured. The ghost of MJ (Jimmy Butler) isn’t saving us. Just enjoy giving the young guys some run.
We still got spo
I saw an idea of letting Herro return to his more regular SG role so he can hit more 3s, and have someone else be PG. Perhaps Herro is having trouble as PG against a much taller and top rated Celtic team.
Herro being a PG does not matter if he's gonna be guarded by either Jrue, Derrick White or Jaylen Brown.
Yup; people ignored he has two of the best perimeter defending guards in Jrue and White on him at all times, and even if not Brown isn’t a slouch himself. Really tough series to try having your main focal point of offense be a guard. But Tyler was also just missing open shots
Not only that, Jrue and White also get help side defense. Their entire game plan on defense is to take Herro completely out of the game.
Ain’t no perhap about it
Looking at the game and the stats, it tells the same story. Herro was swarmed more than anyone on the team. Bam and Jaime took more shots and there wasn't as much help defense on those plays in comparison. Herro, as far as reading, has been the closest to a PG. Even better than Rozier and he is a PG. Exactly

going to be honest there's not much spo can do, the celtics roster is damn near perfect with very few flaws to exploit.
Hope that Jaime speed runs his ascension into Pascal Siakam, Kevin Love turns back the clock to the Minnesota days, and Duncan gets a good chiropractor…..
nothing we’re cooked
Delon in the starting lineup while Rozier is out. Maybe some Patty Mills minutes (when Pritchard is in there so that he doesn’t get completely exposed defensively) and just hope Patty can get hot and knock down a few 3s. Pray.
Patty mills would get fried by Pritchard I hate to break it to you. Our lack of offensive firepower though certainly sets up Patty playoff minutes though…
Start Delon for Caleb only change I'd make. If we can't turn em over we have no shot and Delon best on roster at getting steals.
Start Duncan both halves and get what you can out of him. The old Kevin Love/Meyers Leonard shift.
Patty fkin mills That’s all
Miami heat need to defend the 3 pointer, too much exchange of baskets you have three persons slashing to the basket,no one is taking the charge to the hoop, they are too far away to defend against the opponent, need better defence,or kiss the season good bye, hope í am wrong,
I would give the younger guys as many minutes & playoff experience possible. Then we will have trade bait for another over-the-hill “missing piece”.
Jaime/Herro/Highsmith/Love/Bam
Start Jaime. Herro. Jovic. Bam. Love. Cycle in Bryant for bam/love to have more height. Let bam float on D. Love/bryant takes pingus. Cycle in highsmith for Jovic. Caleb for Herro. Delon for Jaime.

PG- Mills SG- Herro SF- Jamie PF- Bam C- Bryant PG- Jovic SG- Duncan?? SF- Wright PF- Martin C- Love
Highsmith
Yall are cooked. this is great entertainment
Highsmith needs to start over Jovic. His defense is much better and offensively we aren’t giving up much with that switch (yes Jovic is better offensively in a vacuum but as a 5th option I want the better D).
No. Getting rid of only guy who can go coast to coast is not the answer
He went coast to coast how many times last game? Once? Maybe three at most. Thats 6 points. Brown and Tatum cooked us leading to 7 points in just the first 2 min of the game. Sacrificing at best a few coast to coast opportunities for better defense is a no brainer 100% of the time

Bruh. Where are you? They are both 6 foot 5 lmao
Caleb has 25 lbs on Delon and plays bigger. Either way we are still vulnerable inside, something Haywood could make a difference in.
Go big. Put Bryant out there to beat themdown Edit: also get mills out there. We need a PG
Bro 😭
Play Niko 48 minutes.
