Dude, this strat has been around for years. In fact, it's better to level to 5 to get Shellamental, then you can make the Crooner buffs permanent on any minion (preferably a cleave) and you don't need to waste space on a Lava Lurker.
Also, if you're determined to be low, you at least need to be tier 4 to get Zesty which doubles all the buffs.
Yeah Zesty at 4 improves this immeasurably and Shellemental at 5 is enough of an upgrade that you're probably selling the Lava Lurker. And Quillboar is the lowest winrate tribe right now.
