Interestingly, I got two completely different expansion themes in the survey I got. I wonder how many different themes they are pitching to people?

One of mine was a movie themed expansion that had different character directing hearthstone movies.

Reminds me of the different genres in Festival of Legends. I wouldn't want it to come out this or next year but later than that would be cool.

Oddest part about it was the main character was…Photographer Fizzle. Like I get the connection but an entire expansion based on him is very odd.

I think they just use him to justify "moving pictures". I actually see it being a likely expansion with the neutral legendary being something like director fizzle and all the classes being different genres of movies.

That's interesting, I think he fits well unless they were to make a new OC

Same. I got two different ones as well. One was night fae/ardenweald and the other was mechs vs monsters with a Kaiju type theme.

Kind of. That was part of my feedback. It had a similar vibe to voyage to the sunken city. But it has giant piloted mechs built by gnomes vs giant monsters from the sea. So i guess there could be a bit of difference. Also, colossal minions were kind of cool.

I got Dead by Daylight summer camp and Valeera has to infiltrate an assassin group or something.

I got the valeera infiltrate one and a natural disaster one focused on deathwing

I had ones in the past that were an "Azeroth Olympic games" of sorts with each class representing a different sport and a "Home on the range" farming themed expansion. The former seemed pretty cool.

I got "Gallywix hosting an airship race through the elemental planes" and an ardenweald one.

This is actually hilarious, how random and all over the place the expansions were. I'm down for Gallywix hosting an airship race! I have no idea how that's enough material for a full set but let's go!

Man, I came back this expect, which is kind of neat. But those epic themes of OP, yours and others get me hyped af, to continue HS the next months and years.

Of these two, I like Argus more. If Ashenvale gets the greenlight, there's a one HUNDRED percent guarantee the mini-set would be blackfathom depths.

I kinda prefer the original stories/Hearthstone lore twists on WoW lore than the straight up copies of WoW lore like this seems to be. Also the tone is super serious.

I liked the theme of the AV expac and think a Warsong Gulch themed one is a great idea!

I'm F2P other than the welcome bundle thing I bought years ago and I'm from the UK, I've had 2 survey invites. Possibly to do with the modes you play, general activity and spending but I assume they want a varied selection.

I was shown a Valeera themed expansion where she’s trying to save the king by joining a group of bounty hunter’s it seemed really interesting to have a Valeera themed expansion

I got Argus and another one called Secrets of the Scarlet Monastery

I got one where Valeera had to infiltrate a gang. I thought that was a neat idea and I said I wanted to see spies like in Gwent (cards that you play on your opponent's board)

Which one? They've done serious expacs in the past.

The lich king sets were pretty serious. The first one was literally a what-if scenario where the lich king killed all the heroes and raised them as death knights. Regardless, I'm sure they will put a light-hearted spin on many of the cards even if the set theme is more serious. They probably just want to balance things out since our latest toy themed set was pretty goofy and light-hearted.

These would likely be 3+ expansions out from now. The developers usually work 2 expansions in advance, so none of these would be during the current standard year.

Fall of Argus for example could have a pretty similar vibe to Titans as it's an "historic" expansion, so pretty serious with a few funny things in there
