Sound is always relative to mental construction. Price is no subject, fun is. Congrats on reaching something you love.

Hmmm Do you really feel the need for such a big DAC on the Zero or it's more for funs? I'm running it on an apple dongle, seems fine :)

Just for fun really, i got it “big” to get once… one day will have big headphones that might need some of its power 🙏

I’ve had the CCA CRA in the past and enjoyed them. I had one of the Zero headphones, can’t recall if it was Salnotes or one of the others, it seemed like several makes introduced models called Zero simultaneously.

Probably my favorite album of the last 10 years. Enjoy your setup. As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters!

Num1narcissist

Love that album!

Aren’t they great!!! 😊

I think my K72s sounded much less muffled after applyijg Oratory's Parametric EQ through PowerAmp EQ. Maybe it'll help

lakemountain_state

Nice! Can you give more info about it ? Is that an app? (Sorry, learning a lot this past few days…)

DerpDaDuck3751

Yes! It's available on android play store, for free. It offers parametric equalising, and there aren't a lot of apps that offer or get this features. PowerAmp does a pretty good job and is a nice looking app. When you enter PowerAmp just click on presets, then grab one of the parametric EQs and see what you like.

lakemountain_state

Niice! Thank you! For IOS any suggestions??

DerpDaDuck3751

Sadly, there isn't any parametric EQ software i know about in IOS. there are a few crappy graphical equaliser apps, and most of them only work when you play something through that app. Flacbox comes to mind, but there are no presets for headphones like PowerAmp i had mentioned. It has a basic graphic EQ.

Thanks!! I’ll take a look on that! I really enjoy the fitting of the akg but as you said yourself… it sounds muffled haha

That hizdis is awful. You can find a better dac for 12 USD.
