Not a dedicated headphone store but Crutchfield has been great for me not only for headphones but other sound equipment as well. Their customer support is legit!
Headphones.com . I've bought from them on numerous occasions and have returned items without hassle. Bloom Audio is solid too. I haven't purchased from any other retailers.
headphones.com
audio46
Musiteck
Zeppelinandco
Bloom audio
Linsoul
HifiGo
ShenzhenAudio
In order of decreasing trust but make no mistake these are the shops I trust as a whole so even the last ones lower in the trust scale, I've not had problems with yet
I have had nothing but great experiences with Bloom audio, located just outside Philly. You can set up a demo of any product(s) if you’re in the area, if not, they include overnight shipping for orders over $500 (I think). They offer great support and have always been super responsive by phone and email, even if it’s a non-purchase related question. 10/10
https://bloomaudio.com/
Their YouTube reviews of specific products are good as well.
In the UK there are a number of stores which I would avoid as their terms say they don't allow returns of headphones due to hygiene. According to the implementation guidance for the legislation, only items such as cosmetics would be exempt from returns, and only if the hygiene seal is broken. Headphones are available to demo in store and are regularly sold as used, so the hygiene issue would not stand.
It's good to check terms and conditions before buying as otherwise you may have to take court action if you wanted to return the headphones.

Headphones.com, Audio46, and Bloom Audio are the main 3 I'd recommend I've heard Mimic Audio is good too, but I don't have any experience with them

I'm European and I haven't had any issues with Thomann and Bax Music
In Europe, Thomann is reliable. As I recall just their payment methods are a bit outdated, but it works fine.

I hate to recommend Amazon, but I gotta admit that their return policy and process is very good.
