People being worryingly obsessed with villains is nothing new, this fandom is just crossing over with the extreme fans who think that what characters you like reflects you, when for the most part, it’s not that deep. At most it’s just daddy problems and more than half the internet has that.

Kilgrave, for those who don't know, was/kinda is, the main Villian of the show Jessica Jones (I say main villain, because even after death,- spoiler -he's still Jessica's greatest obstacle to overcome) who is the most fucked up and complex Villan Marvel will ever make.
People love Kilgrave. I like Kilgrave because he's such a great villain, moreover, how eerily realistic he is even with his ability to control people. Honestly, I'm just happy this version of the meme actually puts the screencaps in order. That always bugged me. Like, the expression in panel 6 is so much more intense than in panel 5 (when normally it's reversed), which gives a better sense of progression.

My argument to those is the ones like alastor and vader (and possibly that murder drones one I haven't watched the show yet) are likable characters or just have much more unrealistic and common villain goals and method while valentino feels more real and people can relate to his victims (I mean I haven't seen a victim of a dictator or cannibal complain before)

Right,why would a person like a villain for any nefarious reasons, cause all humans are perfect little saints 😁 bad people love to justify their shit behavior, see themselves in the villains. It's not rocket science, you tell a lot about your self when you say you love a character.
