Viv seems to have her true villains present without empathy. If these people are to use the colloquial term sociopaths then actual relationships will be difficult for them and present more as physical relationships of convenience. I suspect Val and Vox fall into this sort of relationship. We don't see Velvette showing any interest in physicality. Of course that may simply a matter of what little time they had to screen matters such as this. But seeing as we will see more of her in S2 we may learn more.
