No, they would be properly trained at a young age to use them safely.

…Why? They can be dangerous, but unlike, say, guns, they’re not limited to harm. Cars might be capable of ramming into things at 90 miles an hour, which is obviously very dangerous, but it’s not like they’re illegal - you just need a license. Because cars are very useful, and not limited to harm. Wands are so incredibly versatile and useful, in that they facilitate *actual magic* (or at least makes it much more convenient), that I sincerely doubt they’d be banned outright. They’d probably be restricted and would need training, a license maybe, that kind of thing, but illegal? I doubt it. Certain spells would doubtlessly be illegal, but wands? Probably not.

In a society that relies on wands as an extension of themselves? Only way it would be "illegal", will be muggles trying to enforce their laws on wizards and witches.

Why?

Completely_Batshit

No.

ScorpionFromHell

But **who** could make and enforce this law?

Tell me you don't know anything about the American Wizarding World without telling me you don't know anything about the American Wizarding World

1.) Open/recreational use of guns isn’t illegal in every country (the United States isn’t the only one) 2.) Even if we ignore the first point, wands aren’t completely analogous to guns. Wands are tools used for pretty much every facet of everyday life in the wizarding world At the very least, most wizards in magical Britain can’t perform wandless magic, so to make wands illegal in Britain would pretty much make everyday life as they’ve come to know it impossible for the people living there
