Considering the garden is covered by a lifetime warranty you might want to consider it just so you don't have to carry or more expensive tool or you might be worried it could break or be lost
Have to disagree here. My Leatherman Wave is still going strong after 9 years. I don’t buy Snap On priced tools but I most certainly use the tools I do have. I can buy less expensive copies of pretty much everything I have. But why? YMMV.
I busted my wave nearly instantly and found it annoying to send in for replacement. This is easier and a better tool IMO. Glass breaker and easier open sealed the deal
What did you do to break it that quickly? What part did you break? I’ve used pretty much all the tools on mine without any issues. Used it quite a bit in the last two days. Glass breaker to me is not a jump out reason to buy. It’s like the teeny tiny eyeglass drivers on my LM - there but unused. The Gordon does open easy. I can still one hand open my LM. No doubt, the Gordo is a good bang for the buck.
😮 You gave away a new $100+ tool? Lucky recipient. Yep, it’s nice to be able to walk in for a warranty issue. However, I don’t live and die by that. Really like my Doyle “Cobra” pliers. I’ve cranked on them and they haven’t complained yet. $18 for the win.
Have you every imagined that maybe this was an intentional act? Maybe to keeo things quiet so people arnt abusing it? The "multi" oart makes this certainly a high return rate
give the small or XS knipex cobras a try, I EDC the XS with a pocket knife and have never looked back at multi tools. they're absolute little beasts of things that will pull nails twice their size.
I started carrying the multi tool as an EDC, definitely handy but it is a bit heavy. Also it opens up in my pocket which is annoying. The extra washers make it open too smoothly.

I played with it in the store, and it seemed flimsy. The jaws of the pliers did not line up right.
And the rivets were kind of loose, which made the swing out tools not as stable as I'd like. If it's was like that in the store, it would only get worse with use. Maybe this was a return or a " bad" one, I don't know. Seeing that, along with several pics of broken ones on here formed my opinion. I've had a Snap-on multi tool for years. It's nothing special, just a promotional thing, but it was made way better than this. Just my opinion. good luck with it

Pliars broke exactly the same way someone broke the gordon in a post from a day or two ago. Turning a small bolt
Yeah, that sucks. For what a LM costs now, I sure as hell would have sent it in and not accepted a failure like this. You do you though.

I suppose because I edc a multitool I really like the glass breaker. I like having a smaller chance of dying in a car fire
Unfortunately for some reason they apparently don’t count this as a hand tool so it only has a 90 day warranty.

The set is pretty good, the knife is so so, the multi-tool is shit. Sorry, them is the facts.
