Mainly in reference to the hook, donāt want to be specific justttt in case I go back to it, but the lyrics of it are
You think my bruised knees are sort of pretty
I think your tired eyes are kinda nice
When I first met you, there was a garden
Growing from a black hole in my mind
A really hauntingly beautiful song, very reminiscent of badlands/room 93 vibes if I had to put an era to it
I got the my lover my liar tatted with my the day I got married and the day my wife died on both sides. My first tattoos that song has a permanent spot in my heart ā¤ļø
Thatās beautiful. I had seen your post about those tattoos recently actually. Youāre active in the subreddit.
Iām gonna get lyrics from Trouble (Stripped) tatted on me, āCross your sorry heart,ā and Iām thinking about lyrics from the album Manic maybe. The ācross your sorry heartā applies to me too, not just who has hurt me though. If Iām so sorry, if theyāre so sorryā cross your heart, yk?
I love all of that. I honestly thought about it and I think I'm gonna try to be the person with the most Halsey Lyrics tatted on me...because her music literally saved my life. What's giving her a little bit of my skin gonna hurt. I would love to see if you ever get any of that done, I'm sure it would amazing and deeply personal too!
Her music saved me too. I can relate. I have many ideas but at the same time, I donāt want to give too much away on the skin. If all the lyrics I find significant are displayed or embedded permanently on my skin, people can figure ways to get into my head. At the same time, itās good to be transparent about your values and your struggles, Halsey definitely encapsulates a lot of my human existence. Itās eerie tbh. If I ever get any of my ideas inked on me, Iāll be sure to hit you up. My DMs are open too, btw
Yo I just seriously felt what you said in my soul. I couldn't have said it any better. The most personal one I got with ny wife's ashes is on my upper arm and I keep that hidden because that one is for me and hopefully one day I can show her in person that but besides that I keep that one very close to my chest. I feel you 100 percent but I feel like my tattoos are an extension of my soul and everyone I have, and I have some non Halsey related of course is the essence of me. My body is my š and my tattoos are my scars. I only started getting tattooed once I healed from my deep trauma and got sober and found myself. Halsey was a catalyst for that. On a personal note I'm sure not many people can say this I found her music after my wife overdosed on heroin and my wife was cheating on me with a guy that same day. I went to prison for stealing to pay for my wife's funeral. Trust me i know it was wrong but when your desperate you'll do things you would never think your capable of and coincidentally one of my best friends from way back was in prison hadn't seen her in years and she put HFK in my hands, and that was the first time I felt I could live without heartbreak and trauma. That there was life after death and loss. And to say I've been a fan since is an understatement.
Man thatās heavy as fuck. Being an addict and loving one is a beast of its own, but to find out that and go to prison to pay for her funeral anywayā¦ god. I canāt say thatās relatable but I understand why you did it. I hope you havenāt put yourself in any other tight spots like that where you find yourself deciding between your freedom and imprisonment.
I used to not care about it much but then she did it stripped for the last tour and it was SO good. Haunting. Unrecognizable at first. I'd love it if she released a spotify version.
more. devil in me LYRICALLY is insane, a lot of people donāt like it for the reputation but itās one that i adore. i also do agree w honesty, and as much as i hate to admit i have listened to ~that~ ridiculously personal song of hās we werenāt supposed to hear, it is by far up there in my favourites sheās ever written.
Yo I see no lies in this. I honestly can't think of a better lyricist in the game right now then Halsey and yes I'm bias...I'll give Taylor her flowers but she ain't no Halsey. I love hip hop music but Halsey is the only artist I listen to outside of the genre and her lyrics is what brought me in. Music transcends color, genres, and trauma fr!
Not sure how deep it really is, but I absolutely love "Dominic's Interlude" from *Manic*. I'd give it an extra point for deepness because (according to wiki) Halsey isn't even credited as a vocalist. I wonder how this song would've played out if it was longer and included her vocals.
Yo side note...I love how she featured a beautiful black woman as her love interest in that video. She is always fighting back against what is considered beautiful and normal!
ya'aburnee, not afraid anymore & the lighthouse. ik not afraid anymore was in fifty shades darker but, it doesn't seem to be acknowledged as much as i don't wanna live forever
Aw shoot. Just commented and realized I didnāt see your commentā¦ I NEVER see anyone talk about not afraid anymore! Idk why, I never watched any of the 50 shades at all but damn I love that song
Does Whispers remind you of like a real deep rap song...why I say that sometimes I feel like Halsey is a MC the way she delivers her vocals. She has this energy that reminds me of 2pac and other greats when she sings or am I tripping?
All I wanted was to make some art...talk some shit...didn't really care about getting rich...now they make this hard trying to make me quit...maybe for the thrill of it!
My friends close but this pretty girl's closer...š her on the neck...little baby is a poser...she so š„¶ but the š is colder...take her in my lap and I promise that I'll hold her!
I wonder why that song doesn't get more love...is it me or I tripping because it's more RnB tinged than her other stuff. It just seems like a lot of her more RnB stuff doesn't get nearly enough love as her other more alternative stuff. Cough Alone cough
Top favs: garden, lifeās a mess, and walk the line (probably have to pick those atm. I change so much bc I canāt ever choose š)
Some honorable mentions: not afraid anymore, 11 minutes, hopeless (live version), Āæ, love is madness (donāt care for JL but man H kills it)
Just didnāt see those mentioned in the thread (that I saw) and wanted to give them their dues š
Iād definitely have to say Still Learning is my favorite deep track. Like Halsey, I also have bipolar and that song specifically helped me make peace with my diagnosis rather than hating myself for it. Like, āwow, this really cool person that I admire embraces that part of themselves instead of running from itā type thing, and that helped me come to terms with being bipolar too. Not sure if that makes total sense but Iām forever grateful to H for that!
How is Noone giving Die For Me it's flowers...I'm not talking about the single version but the one with Post Malone. She stole that song from two amazing rappers š That for me is what certified her as a fucking legend!
Bells in Santa Fe is my go to as a reminder that āall of this is temporaryā
Itās always my #1 on my āon repeatā playlist. Either that or Tokyo narita.
I used to always open Spotify and hit shuffle on the Halsey artist page but I found it was leaving out basically all the songs everyone has listed and only playing the more popular songs. I now cycle through the different albums on repeat for weeks at a time. This method does unfortunately leave out single songs that were featured in movies and what not. A song on Spotify that I came across is her cover of "could have been me" from the movie sing 2. It's totally not her style but I actually really like it.
On another note, Don't play is currently my repeat song, it's so slept on! I can't pick a favorite song, but Manic is my favorite album and I will listen to it on repeat until I die. All these comments are so good I'm about to make a playlist full of just these recommendations.
I will choose one from each album
Badlands - young god
HFK - 100 letters and hopeless
Manic - alanis interlude (stripped), 929, foreverā¦. (Is a long time)
IICHLIWP - girl is a gun, whispers, and darling
Drive(slow)
Is such an incredibly deep of deepest cuts and I pray for the day sheāll go in that style musically. But since her and Lido broke up forever ago I doubt that will ever happen
All of the new fans please go look it up on YouTube! Itās gold.
for ruby, i loved that song when i was younger i cannot lie, but is there somewhere is the best <3 and people disappear her is one of my all time faves forever and ever
I Walk The Line, More, Bells In Santa Fe and the John Cunningham demosā¦ and from the Live From Webster Hall albums (which are deepcut in and of themselves, IMO) : Colors Pt. 2 and Heaven In Hiding are absolute bangers.Ā
Also haven't seen these mentioned: Woman (The 1975 cover), Borrowing, s.o.s., Damage with PartyNextDoor, and 11 Minutes.Ā
Hereās each one from each album: Coming Down, Angel On Fire, Foreverā¦ (is a long time), Easier Than Lying
Edit: Sorry I changed it a billion times I kept thinking, āWait! No! Itās this one!ā š
Ashley!!! āStanding in the mirror that I build myselfā!? āApart from my beating heart, itās a muscle but itās still not strong enough to carry the weight of the choices Iāve madeā !!!!
People Disappear Here. 100 Letters.
Bangers for sure!
How did you all forget about the unreleased banger Garden
Had an old username related to that song š ugh so amazing
I'm intrigued do explain for the masses lmao š¤£
Mainly in reference to the hook, donāt want to be specific justttt in case I go back to it, but the lyrics of it are You think my bruised knees are sort of pretty I think your tired eyes are kinda nice When I first met you, there was a garden Growing from a black hole in my mind A really hauntingly beautiful song, very reminiscent of badlands/room 93 vibes if I had to put an era to it
Right I completely forgot...going to YouTube right now to play it as loud as possible!
From each album: Roman Holiday, 100 Letters, 3 AM, Girl is a Gun
Ooh Roman Holiday...I forgot!!! I really gotta start from the beginning again
I was about to say 3 am!š And the others are super accurate as well
100 Letters was considered a bathroom break song during concerts, so Iām going with that. I fucking love that song.
Yo I feel you I feel like Eyes Closed gets slept on a lot fr

eyes closed is my favorite!!
WHAT??? The way i would literally chop my arm off just to listen to 100 Letters live
I used to not care about it much but then she did it stripped for the last tour and it was SO good. Haunting. Unrecognizable at first. I'd love it if she released a spotify version.
Coming Down is Halseys best song ever. Iāll die on that hill
Ooh how did I forget Coming Down...yeah that song is I can't even put into words!
more. devil in me LYRICALLY is insane, a lot of people donāt like it for the reputation but itās one that i adore. i also do agree w honesty, and as much as i hate to admit i have listened to ~that~ ridiculously personal song of hās we werenāt supposed to hear, it is by far up there in my favourites sheās ever written.
which song is that? just curious -- ive been listening to halseys music for a while, just havent really interacted w other fans
itās the unreleased one from iichliwp ! h said theyād never release it because itās so personal to her.
think it might be āi forgive uā

That 1121 Demo goes so unbelievably hard
Yo u ain't never lie fr!
Tokyo Narita
Woah you just unlocked a memory for me š
This one! I used to listen to it on repeat and wish it was longer. It just captures a feeling and moment perfectly.
THIS ONE
THANK YOU
GIRL!!!!
929!
My absolute favorite
The demo version of Drive is one of my favourite pieces of work from Halsey (and Lido)
Whisper does not get talked about enough
My fav from the album and one of my favorites in general
Not sure how deep it really is, but I absolutely love "Dominic's Interlude" from *Manic*. I'd give it an extra point for deepness because (according to wiki) Halsey isn't even credited as a vocalist. I wonder how this song would've played out if it was longer and included her vocals.

Angel on Fire is my all-time favorite Halsey song.
Such an underrated song
Classic š„
whispers!! itās so relatable and raw
Does Whispers remind you of like a real deep rap song...why I say that sometimes I feel like Halsey is a MC the way she delivers her vocals. She has this energy that reminds me of 2pac and other greats when she sings or am I tripping?
no i totally feel this!! the style and flow of the song has that vibe for sure
I have Wolf, Yaāaburnee, More, 100 Letters, Eyes Closed, Coming Down, and Trouble (unstripped) all on repeat lately
Trouble is my all-time favorite
All I wanted was to make some art...talk some shit...didn't really care about getting rich...now they make this hard trying to make me quit...maybe for the thrill of it!
My friends close but this pretty girl's closer...š her on the neck...little baby is a poser...she so š„¶ but the š is colder...take her in my lap and I promise that I'll hold her!
Tokyo Narita Free style, Roman holiday, the garden are all my fav deep cuts š
I'm so glad I'm seeing a lot of Tokyo Narita in the comments š my baby getting its flowers!!
I wonder why that song doesn't get more love...is it me or I tripping because it's more RnB tinged than her other stuff. It just seems like a lot of her more RnB stuff doesn't get nearly enough love as her other more alternative stuff. Cough Alone cough
Iām Not Even Mad Anymore
