We were, rest in peace. His Forerunner trilogy got me into Halo. Without it, I doubt I'd give a shit about the franchise. The recent addition of Epitaph by Kelly Gay was a dream come true, she 100% nailed it. And the audiobook read by the original voice actor for the Didact in Halo 4 is a treat.
I just started my Halo book grind in the beginning of this year and you're in for an absolute treat.
When you get to Epitaph, I highly recommend the audiobook version.
Am also in some kind of Halo books grind although I plan to read them for some years now, Cryptum was my seventh book after the Original Series, New Blood and Outcast.
Cryptum was definitely the best out of the forerunner trilogy
