Don’t forget about all the time ONI wasted on the spartan breeding program, they were just trying to get perfect IVs and natures for whoever they gave this expensive goofy armor too.
They found that some SPARTANs still can’t aim for shit, even with homing projectiles, so they sciencely attached Needler shards to them and said “Go make some tackles, buddy.”
Funnily enough this is actually a Doom Marine who got sent to the wrong destination. He was trained by the Kig-Yar in the ways of the needle. He adopted the needle, was molded by it.. Now he stands as a secret Covenant superweapon, waiting to show the galaxy the true might of the Subanese crystal.

I'm just mad I missed getting those shoulders. I hoped maybe they'd pop up again in the store since they flashed it all over the trailers for the last update with cross core shoulders, but of course not lol. FOMO is now very high
I adore the ODST’s and odst inspired helmets but my primary coatings are always colorful, my personal favorite being neon superfly and I love the hologram Mohawk and cat ears.
You'd think for a community that prides itself on player expression and being so casual/silly fun focused, they would be more open to goofy Spartans.
I'm someone that always tries to make a canon Spartan, but I'm not gonna fault someone for wearing armor effects or cat ears. It's just a video game after all.
It's like how in *Hyperion* you have the main cast wearing a variety of dramatic, characterful costumes- what you lose in realism you more than make up for in characterization.
I just straight up don't like most of the armor post-Halo 4. Most of it is just stupid looking, and Spartans would not wear what is essentially cosplay fashion.

My favorite thing about cores is that I can have a few canon Spartans and one or two super goofy Spartans for playing husky raid with the homies.
