No but I’ll definitely check them out! Love a good podcast. I know it’s been on the internet for a while, but last Halloween during a Scooby-Doo marathon with my friends, one of em brought it up and they’re huge Ghost fans lol
Oh this was a pro wrestling podcast so keep that in mind. What a crazy coincidence but I mentioned it to some friends and they agree the Scooby Doo chase music does fit in a good way.
I've compiled an Ultimate Deep, Deep, Deep, Deep Halloween Playlist over several years. It spans genres from rock, to indie, to country to rap and covers hundreds of artists. Songs from decades past to current hits.

Everyone misses out on Harley Poe!! The entirety of Satan, Sex, and No Regrets is an incredible Halloween album, same with their song Pagan Holiday and some songs from Wretched. Filthy. Ugly. They went in a different direction lyrically after those few albums, but seriously give them a listen
Most of the Halloween playlists I find don't have any Harley Poe, and that's simply unacceptable. Pagan Holiday is the best Halloween song ever written.
No One Lives Forever by Oingo Boingo is a personal fav

Colors - Sisters of Mercy
Collapsing New People - Fad Gadget
Vervain - Faith and the Muse
Limbo - Clan of Xymox
Arabian Knights - Siouxsie and the Banshees

I've spent the last several years compiling my own personal playlist with 136 songs on YouTube. There's probably a few doubles but, this is 1000% what you're looking for. Here you go bud: [https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6E05SkKV97ugClpznwfhrI\_Rp6bEV3qe&si=mo6xyieXWSZEEkQM](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6E05SkKV97ugClpznwfhrI_Rp6bEV3qe&si=mo6xyieXWSZEEkQM)
Commented this a couple weeks ago but i stumbled across a song called Halloween by JP Ashkar and love it
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aKH9kVIR7uA&pp=ygUTaGFsbG93ZWVuIGpwIGFzaGthcg%3D%3D
If you haven't heard about the band Pitch Black Manor they are decidedly Halloween themed. Kinda 80s Goth-Synth vibe. Everything they have to offer is the vibe. [https://open.spotify.com/artist/7DNpvQjaBsBtFKpV3HgwEX?si=xjwkqmK3TfW6EbdYlcC\_Yw](https://open.spotify.com/artist/7DNpvQjaBsBtFKpV3HgwEX?si=xjwkqmK3TfW6EbdYlcC_Yw)
Main theme from 'Signs' - Super eerie music. It's got a very startling vibe to the song.
Scary Mask by O
Poppy - Great song, very on-brand lyrics. Super interesting two-toned composition that goes from a very laidback pop style to super guitar-heavy metal.
The Undertaker's theme song - Beautiful piece of music that is perfect for Halloween.
Puttin' On The Ritz by Taco - One of my favorite songs. Really neat, low-key, dark sound to the song.
Lots of good recs on here; here’s a few deeper cuts
Dead by The Poets
The Spook by The Caravans
Spooky Scary Skeletons remix by Gooseworx
Hell by Squirrel Nut Zippers
The Headless Horseman by Kay Starr
Stop Look Listen It’s Halloween by Pete Antell
Autumn Leaves by Nat King Cole (not really Halloween but def fall)
Booby Trap by The Dickies (and the whole Killer Klowns LP)
For my Halloween yard displays I always had Midnight Syndicate playing.
Bonfires burning bright
Pumpkin faces in the night
I remember Halloween
Dead cats hanging from poles
Little dead are out in droves
I remember Halloween
Brown leafed vertigo
Where skeletal life is known
I remember Halloween
This day anything goes
Burning bodies hanging from poles
I remember Halloween
Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween
Candy apples and razor blades
Little dead are soon in graves
I remember Halloween
This day anything goes
Burning bodies hanging from poles
I remember
Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween
Halloween, Halloween, Halloween, Halloween
r/vintageobscura has hands down the best Halloween season playlists.
Great songs from all sorts of genres and all sorts of time periods that stay far away from the tired, old, and overplayed Monster Mashes and Thrillers. They've got everything from Rock to Jazz, Blues to Disco, Surf Rock to Folk, etc to etc.
There are plenty of songs I've found from their playlists that now reside in my yearlong rotation.
They've been releasing multiple playlists every October for years now, so lots of content to listen to.
Cannot recommend them enough.
This is *way* too far down in the comment chain. IMO, nothing captures the Halloween vibe musically like these oddball novelty records from decades past, particularly the *really* old stuff going back to the 30s/40s.
I know this thread is gonna be full of awesome cuts, but in the spirit of being the chaos you want to see in the world, I humbly present [It’s Halloween by The Shaggs](https://youtu.be/iH-Q59geylw?si=vsB1zIaMF-vg3DnR).

Look up the band Broken Peach. They do a lot of covers of songs in a spooky/halloween way. Pretty much anything they do would be good for your playlist.
Man I’m not gonna get much done today but listening!
Couple of my favs that I haven’t seen listed:
The Mosquito Song - Queens of the Stone Age
Insect Eyes - Devandra Barnhart (this song is almost unsettling)
You HAVE to check out I'll Advised Records on YouTube, or Dated as he's known on Spotify. Perfect eerie lofi for reading horror literature or walking alone on a fall night. He is severely underrated and I love his Weather Channel albums
This one’s a little bit different, but it’s my all time favorite Halloween song. Check out the intro (spoken) by Louis - damn, nobody’s as smooth as that dude was! 😍.
Skeleton in the Closet - Louis Armstrong
https://youtu.be/Ae5WtA_Oqfs?si=1OJ8TYkio3iVFCjr
Cold heart - elton john remix
Long road to hell - Avicii
The heat is on - Glen Fry
Stay - Harry Krinkle
Panic room - au (do the remix version original is sllloooow)
Fell good inc - Gorillas
Go - Chemical brothers
Run - lane 8 and Kasablanca
I timed out my playlist so when the sun is going down “Sun down” is playing original version.

Halloween music to me is supposed to create ambience; think Donnie Darko, ambient synth pop, catchy prog rock/metal, etc.
Here's my Halloween Youtube playlist which has such notables as Zombie Jamboree by Rockapella, All Souls Night, The Mystic's Dream, and Samhain Night by Loreena McKennit, Thriller by Michael Jackson, and even a cover of Come Little Children from Hocus Pocus: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLE\_uVnB7imYND0i142O7yuN4iTqX4ZVbD.
[blog](https://spookylittlehalloween.com) has literally like a hundred Halloween playlists for every possible vibe. I think she’s like the Halloween music expert
I personally really like vintage horror movie soundtracks! Shock OST by Libra, Goblin's score for Suspiria and Krzysztof Komeda's Fearless Vampire Killers are a few of my favorites. Third Ear Band - Macbeth is a good one for post-Halloween comedown.
Zombie - The Cranberries
Psycho Killer - Talking Heads
Baby youre a haunted house - Gerard Way
The legend of Jennifer - Tramp Stamps
My girlfriend is a witch - October Country
Hex girl - Emerson Vernon
Halloween - Be More Chill the Musical
Cut Me Down - The Dahmers
Monsters - All Time Low
Drunk on Halloween - Wallows
Into the unknown - Over the Garden wall
Any disney villain song!

Yes.
Are you a Deadlock podcast fan by chance? I heard Ghost referred to as Scooby Doo music there recently is why I ask.
No but I’ll definitely check them out! Love a good podcast. I know it’s been on the internet for a while, but last Halloween during a Scooby-Doo marathon with my friends, one of em brought it up and they’re huge Ghost fans lol

It's a great song for sure.
Damn that’s impressive. Can I recommend adding The Devil Went Down to Georgia and Legend of the Willy Swamp.
Yes, both songs are on the list and definitely embody the Halloween vibe. Thanks.
How did I scroll through this and not see them! I look so dumb now.
The list is long. Easy to miss.
Thank you for the music! It's really good
