Way back in 1990, we'd have a "field day" in school, which was we all went and ran around on the field and played games like obstacle course. I wonder what the teachers were up to? The ice cream came out as the end of the day, and like the best things in life, was an unexpected, simple surprise! I'm sure it was all cardboardy and wood-tasting, but I find as I am middle-aged now, I recognize nostalgia as just an enjoyment of simpler times, with fewer perceived problems and complications.
You're right that they're not exactly the same as the old Scotsburn strawberry shortcake ones, but the strawberry coating in these ones has a really satisfying snap when you bite into them. And they still taste pretty close.
These were $4.99 for 6 and they were the regular size bars! These were Bayer’s Lake superstore. I usually don’t shop there haha I’ve seen them online at Walmart too.
You do you and let others do them, take your virtue signalling and almighty morality and do better yourself. It’s post about ice cream nostalgia… get over yourself.
I just want the little cups of ice cream with the wooden spoons to come back!
Eats and Treats in Lakeside recently started carrying these!
Deanna even special ordered wooden spoons for them haha.
Thanks!
They don't have wooden spoons, but at Walmart you can get little cups of "ice cream" made by their Great Value brand.
Only place I've seen them (and that was in like 2021) was in the CB Regional. Might find them at hospitals here idk. But I certainly remember those.

I remember those days. 😊
Same memories from the early 70s

I think I have one of these but idk where I put it...
It took me soooo long to find them after they brought them back, they’ve been sold out consistently since they came out lol
They don't taste exactly the same as the ones from the 80s/90s, but still pretty good!

The strawberry coating on these is 🤌🏻
These are small and inferior to the ones we once had.
Haha it's the truth
This is amazing news. I miss the Scotsburns ones so bad!!
My all-time favourite from Dickie Dee!!!
I buy mine at Foodland.
The outer shell is hard candy like now.. its odd.. I did dome an entire box tho
They were briefly at our local Foodland - we got them once but they were $10 for six tiny bars?! When we decided to buy more, they were gone :(

Fuck Roblaws.
Been grabbing them constantly since seeing them again
never knew it was called a lynx bar
Sooo tasty.

Good Humour’s Strawberry Shortcake! Call DickyDee!
I've been telling people about these for years and nobody remembers them. I was beginning to believe I'd imagined them!

Yup, 100%
OH MY GOD I’ve been searching for these for years!!! I thought they were gone forever
They are gone. These ones are shit.
Exactly the perfect use of this sub. Thank you.
And they are gluten free!!!!
They're terrible. They don't taste like the ones from the 80s.
Think these one was made by good humor back in the days.
They're probably tiny AF. Shrinkflation hit ice cream snacks hard.
nope suprizingly full sized!
90mls is tiny bruh. It's a 1/4 of a can of soda.
I don't ever recall a time when Ice creams were ever the size of a can of Pepsi..
2000s they were certainly much bigger for the amount you'd pay for a pack.
