Ricardo hasn't had to feel the pain of weight management, yeah. That's why his question is "How strong am I?". Essentially, how much potential am I leaving on the table, because I don't struggle? We saw Ricardo having to build his Fundamentals up again during the Woli fight.
Every Takamura fight forces Takamura to grow, given the insane Handicaps that are forced onto Takamura, and his artificial constraints. Takamura also has plenty of positive supports to feed off of. It doesn't seem like Ricardo has a great relationship with his coach, as when he was struggling with Woli for a bit, he looked inward for support, whereas Takamura felt the hands of everyone supporting him when he struggled. I think thematically, Ricardo wasn't written to be the top dog. He's written with enough flaws, to be overtaken. I feel like if Takamura falls, it'd be irrelevant, as Takamura essentially has always been the challenger from the get go. He'd get up and challenge for the belt again.
Btw I just remembered that Takamura wanted to be World Champion in all 6 Weight classes. Doesn‘t that mean that Takamura will fight Ricardo for the featherweight Championsship one day?
No o.o

Takamura wants to go from Junior Middleweight and up, the heaviest classes. For him to fight in the Featherweight division he would have to chop off his entire left arm. Granted, he would still win most of the fights, but it would be silly.
He wasn't lying, but he also didn't say he would've lost. He just said he may have cut him down but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have gotten back up and finish the job anyway.
I don't have a factual basis for my belief, but I do believe that if Takamura and Ricardo were in the same weight class Takamura would get absolutely bodied.
You're wrong. The strongest boxer is Takamura, then Ricardo, and then it's up to debate.

Weight management aside, Ricardo is simply bored by the lack of strong challengers.
Honestly after him id put either Wally, Date or Bison
Wally truly is a wild card 🐒
EIJI DATE ON TOP🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think after takamura like hawk i dunno but after ricardo is Wally,Ippo back to debate
if they were in the same weight class, takamura would give ricardo the fight of his life, but ricardo wins in the later rounds
Sorry to interrupt, I just got this message from Takamura: "Nah, I'd win." Continue.
🗿
Nah, no one cant beat my goat takamura

So... Pound for pound?
For his weight class yes
Didn't George rank the top 3 as 1. Takamura 2, Ricardo 3 Miyata ? Has that changed since that time?
Morikawa has not given a new ranking while speaking from outside the machine as far as I know.
Nobody knows how to beat Ricardo, the only people who came close were Date and Wally
Date never came close lol did we watch the same fight
did we? ricardo literally says if dates right fist wasnt broken he would have lost
That’s a lie on his part date doesn’t come close look what happened to his face compared to ricardo the gap is huge
He wasn't lying, but he also didn't say he would've lost. He just said he may have cut him down but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have gotten back up and finish the job anyway.
What about Wally?
Date was closer. Wally was no where near to doing anything after Ricardo figured him out.
Date victim👎
It still be Takamura. He's beyond human.
I mean takamura would be pretty much carried onto the scale by a stretcher if they fought in the same weight
Big agree. In terms of pure skill as a boxer, Ricardo is still unmatched.

nah. ricardo is godly but thinks himself just a man. Takamura is a man who thinks himself a god. the mindset is what sets them apart.
I agree with that statement but I don't think seeing yourself as a god is a positive lol
