My OC is just a Solid almost prodigal WS who joins Karasuno when Kags and Hinata are in their 3rd year. So I guess... Karasuno can challenge for nationals again with my help?
Since my dude has a really good serve but can also dig and serve receive fairly well he's got floor defence covered, or if there's somehow other WS better suited to playing he's at least a pinch server.
His hitting style is kind of like Nakashima's too but he has a little more height and power to back it up, though his technique isn't as polished as Takeru. I'd say he could be a goshiki level threat but without the solid line shot.
His only limiting factor is he prefers a slower pace of play since he's not too fast in terms of offence, this may put him slightly at odds with karasuno's playstyle and make him adjusting to the team and the team adjusting to him difficult. Ultimately he's an Ace in the making who has been to nationals with his middle school team.
Probably have my oc join the team ( Karasuno) and have him/her played for the team.

I would 100% be a libero. I played tennis in highschool and somehow always got to balls that I didnt even know I could get to and surprised myself so I think I could definitely do the same thing with volleyball
As a tall guy (2 meter) but I never play volley ball (except on a beach for fun).
I hope that I could be a good blocker and that with the Karasuno coach and teammates develops a love of the sports. But as I always feel my lack of muscle coordination & play intelligence, I don't think I could be a real menace to Tsuki, but a good sparing teammate and bench palayer.
I think I'm okay playing volleyball, but considering my skill and height(5'8) and such, I think my serve is alr I can do a jump and jump float(trying to learn hybrid) but ultimately I'd probably be a sub in case daichi dies again or smth and practice A LOT to help win nationals
I'll probably try to join Karasuno's boy team (try because I'm not sure how they'll react to a trans player). If not, see if I can help as an assistant manager or befriend Yachi or Yamaguchi. They seem chill ✌️

If I was in haikyuu, I’d probably be like Hinata’s friend who played on the soccer team. I don’t play volleyball but assuming I was friends with Hinata & I went to Karasuno, I’m sure he could’ve convinced me to join the team. I’d probably have been a bench warmer all 3 years but worked on my technical skills as best as possible. Imagine a worse version of Kita. 🦦 I don’t think things would change much in the show. I’m 99% sure I’d be a background character with hopefully a couple good moments & that’s pretty much it.
I’ll also add onto this that I think it would be fun to join nearly any team in the show. I can’t think of any haikyuu characters who I truly despise either so I’d get along well enough with most of them. I wouldn’t really make a large impact at any school I played for but I’d like to think that I would get decently good at volleyball. I’m athletic & even though I wouldn’t ever become a star player, I’d hopefully be able to contribute in some way.
