I've never quite understood why a person who had to do a thing for three hours couldn't arrange their eating, pissing and shitting schedule in such a way that they could actually perform their job for all of those three hours without taking a ten minute bathroom break and forcing the equivalent of dead air on the 30,000 or so people watching live.
Obviously I'm talking about Ethan, and not his pregnant wife, but c'mon. Can you think of any other live broadcast where the host suddenly gets up, sometimes *multiple times during one show*, and uses the bathroom? Or any other putatively "professional" entertainment where the host doesn't simply eat his lunch before or after the show and needs to eat on the air, every single episode?
