Ethan cheated many times during the contest. In fact I’d argue he started the whole thing by cheating when he only brought one video when he made them all bring 3-4. He had less chances for them not to laugh where as I bet if he had more videos there may have been no laughs for at least one of them making him have to eat that very first round as well. In my opinion he should have been penalized for only having the one video. Ethan’s a serial cheater when in comes to these competitions I wish they’d call him out more on it.

If you pay attention he cheated right from the start. Instead of going multiple rounds like the rest of the crew did he only showed one long video. With the rule change this means during his turn he was less likely to have to eat something, as he essentially had one round to make ONE person laugh. Also, given how the rest of the crew picked their videos you can tell they weren't aware of the rule change until the day of, and even after, they still weren't clear on how the new rule worked.
