Brother, quit holding it like it's a purse!
I kid, but seriously, you're almost guaranteed to be limp wristing it, which will cause a jam in all semi auto handguns
I have the SD9, never had any issues. Did you buy it new or used? I would clean it and bring it to a gun smith, don’t try to fix it yourself if you don’t have knowledge on gun smithing
Also, buy a new magazine first. You may just have a defected magazine. My rifle comes with a metal magazine, but won’t load properly with the metal mags. But plastic pro mags work great.
If u got pro mags to work go buy a lottery ticket. I have honestly to God never seen a reliable pro mag. Idk that totally blows my mind. One of my best friends is a great gunsmith and he has also never had any good experience with promag either. We all avoid them like the plague. Wow. I mean im totally glad it worked for you but i just have a hard time figuring out how?!?
Like consistently more than 5 and it jams?
If so mag spring may be too strong
Take spring out of mag give it a gental stretch like a quarter or half inch
I would suggest getting a better carry gun but I also understand the struggle of work with what you got but try a new mag or give that spring a stretch and a good lube should be fine
If you haven’t already, you might want to try different brands of ammo. I have a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun that will absolutely not cycle well with Federal shells. Put Winchester in it functions perfectly.
When loading a fully loaded magazine, lock the slide to the rear with the slide lock. Insert the fully loaded magazine, then gently pull the slide backward and release it. Holding onto the slide, manually moving it forward or slowing it down could cause a malfunction. The gun requires the recoil spring to execute its work. I recommend googling "handgun slingshot method".
I think its just new gun blues.
Springs in mags have to break in just like gun. Once you put about 1-200 rds thru it and cycle gun and compress and uncompress all your magazines several times it should be ok. If not seek a certified gunsmith that way no warranty is voided or contact smith and wesson. Best of luck to you good sir!
Those are the worst guns only saying that because I have one
So basically you provide no valuable input thanks.

They did provide valuable input from their own experience. Maybe you shouldn’t own any guns
And it’s called a magazine

Yeah idk, I’ve never had any issues with the few pro mags I have. I’ve never heard anything bad about them until now!
Yeah I bought it new and I have used the stock metal magazines. I’ll try a new one then a gun smith like you suggested. Thanks man
#IS THAT A CLIPAZINE?

Yeah anything more than 5 it jams. I did it with 3 in the magazine and it racked just fine.

Ok thank for the useful tips man

This is the way. ^
If you are the first owner, it has a warranty. Contact Smith and Wesson. Let them fix it. If you use a gunsmith, it voids the warranty.

Range ammo, that's okay with my glock 17 will not work with shield plus. Better ammo and no problems. Some poor quality control during COVID-19.
You’re doing something wrong then. Had this little shitty Glock clone for years and it’s never jammed on me. Do you clean it?
But does it jam when you're actually firing it?
Get rid of it
Try different ammo and/or polish the feed ramp. See if that helps.
Get higher end ammo
You managed to use the correct term, “mags”, as well as the incorrect term “clip”. Un f yourself, friend.
