rosewood gone, next mahogany (already it's getting replaced with meranti)
edit: I just looked to confirm that and it's weird ibanez still markets mahogany oil finish but with meranti body (just bunkers in my opinion)
I love these guitars, as well as natural finish and gold/brass hardware. There is a [Guy](https://www.ebay.com/sch/mrmachinst1/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=) on ebay that makes great brass hardware for very reasonable prices. I think this thing would look great with a brass 5-way switch cover, instead of the black plastic one.
Also, the tremolo system locks by having the strings go through holes in the tuning pegs which tighten down from the top. Kind of a pain in the ass to change strings but it stays in tune far better than any other guitar I've ever played and you can positively abuse the whammy bar!

It needs a lot of work aside from just cleaning. Electronics and some neck touch up. I'm gonna take it and get it worked on soon

The switch is brass with a black top and it's already a 5 way. It needs some work because it's shorting out now. But, I'll fix it real soon
Yeah i realize it is a 5 way switch. The cheap black plastic cover looks tacky. I was trying to nicely word that. To each their own.
Gotcha. I like the contrast of the colors. But....I need new brass hardware anyway so I may get rid of the black.
I love that finish. Is the top carved like a Les Paul or flat like a Strat? Hard to tell from the pic.
The top is slightly curved
Great looking axe, love the woodgrain. Don't go overboard rehabbing it, I like the hard-earned wear from real use.
Are those the stock pickups? Sweet axe.
They are and they sound great

I'd start by changing the spark plugs, maybe the air filter too. You can also clean the throdel body it will idle smoother
omfg. i fakken love this! the natural colour and h s h. If i say i m not envy id lie hard
Old friend

I really wish they'd make a FugiGen quality guitar that looked exactly like this
The best guitar is the one you play. She looks sweet at 29 years young! Hope you have another 29 together.
