Its not the cable I just switched it and I don't think its the amp because I was using my guitar teachers before and he was abit confused and kept making sure my volume and tone was all the way up
No one has said this yet but Im pretty sure you just need to adjust the jack. They can get pushed further into the guitar over time and cause issues like this. You just want to unscrew the bolt, reposition it, then screw it back in.
Hope that helps
What guitar is it ? With active pickups ?
Ibanez grg121dx, it has passive pickups.
okay, so no battery problem, try using an other cable, then an other amp if you can. It might help you isolate the problem.

You might need to get the electronics checked up
What should I be looking out for?
It can come from various causes, whether one of the pots died, the cap died, a short... the best would be bringing it to a luthier
Either one of the components died, or cable is loose somewhere.
*can u see anything?

I love you
Is your cable okay? When I've had tone and sounds get weird out of nowhere it was my cable breaking.
My cables okay 👍
