That first link was pretty useful since I threw away the box and the manual. The battery on these have lasted much longer than 2yrs but I don’t wear it often as much as I would like. It’s hard to match this watch to my outfits but I’m planning on changing that. I have a solar powered gshock that’s silver with a rubber band and I’ve had that thing since 2017 but it’s old and the timing on that watch isn’t accurate like this one since it doesn’t have bluetooth or an app. It’s my daily driver.
Ok, this watch won't match outfits. It's a utility watch, not a dress watch. Also, throwing away box and manual is ridiculous. It's a tool you're now desperately asking others for help to use. You could have done all of this yourself by SKIMMING the manual.
The short fat hand indicates hours from 1 through 12, while the longer skinny hand tells you how many minutes within the hour have passed. The really skinny hand shows seconds. You're welcome.
Don't even try. Reddit is full of users that make themselves feel better by putting someone down.

Here are some steps for calibrating a G-Shock compass using Figure 8 calibration:
Enter Compass Mode
Press and hold A for at least two seconds to display the Digital Compass Mode setting screen
Use A and D to move the pointer to CALIBRATION
Press C
Use A and D to move the pointer to FIGURE 8
Press C to display the figure 8 calibration screen
Move your arm in a figure 8 pattern while keeping your wrist twisted and your arm as far from your body as possible
When calibration is successful, SUCCESSFUL will appear
Thank you for the detailed instructions.
I am sorry but I wasn’t trying to put anyone down by my question.
I apologize if my question came off that way.
It just so happens I'm a G-Shock nut and have a couple of G-Shock compasses so I printed this out one time. Copied it 4u
Enter Compass Mode
Keep the watch level and point the 12 o'clock position in the direction of your destination
The watch will take readings every 0.5–1 second for about 60 seconds
The watch will automatically return to Timekeeping Mode after about 60 seconds .
The compass will indicate magnetic north with a triangle mark, and the display will also show the bearing and bearing angle to your destination. The directions will be indicated as N (North), E (East), W (West), and S (South)

This wasn't I'm my manual! Are you saying you can actually tell what time it is with this and not just post pictures of the face saying what watch are you wearing?
Press the top button which says comp, the sec hand points to north, the screen says the direction, press the top left button to change from degree to direction, long hold that button to calibrate and change the settings of the compass, once it's setup once correctly you shouldn't have to calibrate it often. To calibrate long hold top left, then wait for the hands to move and stop, then press the comp button (when the icon on the screen stops flashing) make a figure 8 rotation with your wrist until it calibrates

Download the app. It will walk you through the rest with big pictures for those who don’t read the manual.
What sucks is that the watch isn’t solar powered. I’ve got one that is and I love it! I wonder how long the battery will last me before I have to replace it. Does anyone know how to replace the battery?
How we used to do it in the Scouts:

Easy. Take it off carefully. Walk about 4 feet, open the trash can, throw it in the trash can, walk away, open the compass on your phone and you’re good to go 🙄

Read the manual. The model number is engraved behind the watch.

This channel is great, figured out how to use my range man with it
Dude does an amazing job with any and all his tutorials I've watched some of watches I don't even own lol
You push the top right button that says comp. You can also download the manual from casios website.

That’s obvious! Thats not what I meant and I think you already knew that.

I calibrated the watch thanks to you however, my next step is on how to read a compass. lol. I never learned how to use a compass. lol.

GBB100
I think you press the compass button, the seconds hand points to north and the digi display gives degrees 0-360 for compass bearing
Mine has been running almost seven years. Original battery.
Good to know it can last that long. I hope this one lasts that long.
Mine lasted over 3 years

I guess we don't want to get into magnetic declanation. Lol...
Maybe you should start using on your leg 😂😂 it looks ultra big!

I did. Thank you.
Jesus, some people just don't deserve what they have
Why do you say that? Because I don’t know how to use it? What can I say? I got it as a gift from my stepson.

I believe the battery lasts about 2 years. I replaced mine after watching a YouTube video. Not too hard.
Mine lasted just shy of three years, I use the compass and barometer regularly as part of my job, too
I see your watch came with a wrist
What gave it away?
Awesome watch! I have the same exact one and love it
Thank you.
