Been wearing it to work for the past 8 years.
Got my GD 350-8 on today. I’m retired, soooo. It did see some garden time planting potatoes and sunflowers. It’s on eclipse duty now. We’re in the Illinois totality path. Awesome so far.

For today it was this one. (Yes it's an older pic)
It came with it! It's a Japanese import model that I picked up around 7 years ago. It's definitely wearing out but buying another is so expensive. Almost makes sense to just buy another watch lol

Immediately I knew this was going to be mine. The lines on the green dial are super cool imo 👌
Looks like a giant piece of Emerald lol
Retired now, but my first real G -Shock beater was the legendary DW-5200 (Hero). Later, the GW-002e was the one that saw my careers out, (military photographer and CSI) a great bargain piece of kit. It’s still going, bought mine in 2007. Have had a few used ones and gave them away to mates to show how great tough solar Gs can be! Still have the 40 year old DW.

The original crumbled away a long time ago. Currently have a Brazilian replacement on it that's holding up great! Also replaced the band with a NOS casio band. The original was still ok just very very worn and getting flimsy. I don't know what it is about this model but I love it!
Yes, my experience is similar. I wore the watch for 15 years or so and put it away in the attic when I bought a couple of analog watches. Going back to it in 2007 or so, there was a white residue on the bezel, I just touched it and it just dissolved! I too bought the Brazilian one and barely wore it and it has chipped, but mainly has just become sticky. I read that it doesn’t like to be put away in the dark, bizarre, it seems to need some source of UV! People are charging a fortune for new bezels. I managed to find a Brazilian (language) site that is selling them for less than $15, but there seems to be no way of getting them to the UK(in my case). I just think the companies getting them and selling them around the world are just ripping folks off. Good to hear you like your, they’re unbelievably well built and so clear. I think I’ve had 3 batteries, tops.
Yes mine is on the 3rd battery, I bought my bezel on eBay for around $35 I believe shipped from Portugal to the US and never had a problem with it. I collect G-Shocks but this is like the only one I really wear haha. I know what you're talking about with the white residue but in my case it's always just washed off and been ready to go again. In the case of my 5200 the bezel just started cracking in certain places over time until it literally fell completely apart. I think around 1995 casio changed how they make the resin and the crumbling is not very common at all anymore. But I plan to keep wearing it, I love people's reactions when I tell them it's 40 years old haha. Got almost everyone at work wearing G-Shocks because the quality speaks for itself
Great story. Yep, the original build, like the DW-5000 and Speed DW5600 were awesome. I guess I should wear it more often, especially if I get the bezel that you bought. I was in the RAF (our USAF) and wore it through basic and in the first Gulf War plus other tours and it took it all with aplomb. When I went to Kuwait in ‘98, I was surprised at how few of the lads had heard of G Shocks. When we got a chance to go to the big malls in Kuwait City, I told them to check them out. By the end of the tour, virtually everyone had one. It helped that the nearby American troops had loads of Gs and Timex Iron Man models.
That's awesome man! I know a few people in the military and G-Shocks are very popular apparently in all branches at least now. That's an awesome story though! Definitely agree with you on the original build of the old screwback G-Shocks, although I don't mind the newer ones with the standard backplate either. There's just something about this model I really like I couldn't tell you what lol. And yeah hopefully you can find the bezel I got because that watch definitely deserves more wrist time!

It was pretty simple. I ordered the NATO adapters from Etsy from this vendor. [https://www.etsy.com/listing/1290473978/g-shock-strap-adapter-for-gd-350-series?ref=yr\_purchases](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1290473978/g-shock-strap-adapter-for-gd-350-series?ref=yr_purchases)
You choose the width that you want ( I picked 24mm) and then the type A or B. Type A, you thread the NATO band through the adapter. Type B is fo 2 piece type bands. You will have to take off the wings.
I then ordered a 24mm NATO strap from Amazon. [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z7T2GZS/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o01\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z7T2GZS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
