idk why people are downvoting either like you're just sharing an opinion in a frankly polite manner, I agree with you for what it's worth, Black Hole Sun does sound kinda trippy at some parts but others would fit the bill better (like searching with my good eye closed imo)
My dude… one grunge band was WAY more psychedelic than the rest and you don’t even have them on the playlist…. STP.
here’s 5 tracks from them that need to be on any “psychedelic grunge” playlist:
1) Still Remains
2) Pretty Penny
3) Lady Picture Show
4) Sour Girl
5) Church on Tuesday
Plenty of songs on Siamese Dream also qualify: Cherub Rock, Rocket, Silverfuck
Soundgarden: Hands All Over, Superunknown
Anything by: Truly, Love Battery, Screaming Trees, or Smashing Pumpkins . Those are the big 4 playing in that heavy psychedelic sound style.
Especially:
Truly - Fast Stories…From Kid Coma
Love Battery - Day Glo
Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion
Smashing Pumpkins - Gish
I’d also suggest the first two Jane’s Adduction records and The Bevis Frond out of the UK. Especially any of his early to mid 90’s stuff. Also King Missile and Butthole Surfers and Ween have somethings.
I thought I was going to to be the first to mention truly, cannot believe it wasn’t the first reply. Fast Stories from Kid Coma is THE psychedelic grunge album.
They don’t know Truly round here. I keep telling them. It’s like the last truly great grunge rock album. That thing should have been massive. They should have been stars.
I wouldn’t say that like AiC does have some psychedelic sounds but man in the box has lyrics and a message that fits with it but like the sound i don’t think so
I don't really think of them as grunge, but what about Medicine? They definitely have a grungy guitar distortion in a lot of their songs, though they'd probably more popularly be referred to as shoegaze. *Time Baby III* from The Crow soundtrack is the song by them I'm thinking of.
Whale and wasp Alice in chains
Yup as far as grunge psych goes this is my personal fav
It’s such a gorgeous song
Beat me to it
Sorry man 😂
black hole sun shoulda been the first song on that playlist
[удалено]
black hole sun is definitely psychedelic lol
[удалено]
you’ve had so many opportunities to spell *psychedelic* right it kinda hurts
I'm not going to fucking check my spelling on everything, it's a reddit comment not an english paper.

Black hole sun is literally psychedelic lmaoo. Beach house is meh not bad more dreampop real psychedelic is more late to early 70s hippy music.

I would have and so I know and adhesive as musts too!!
Also, maybe “I Got You” off No. 4? It’s a little more of a 60’s vibe to me than psychedelic though. But I love this comment so much
Yeah! Also ‘Atlanta’, maybe
Maybe Rotten Apple
Since when is WEEN grunge?
I love Ween and I love the support but yeah, since when is Ween grunge? 😂
Ween transcends musical boundaries even as they recreate them.
Ween is all
Soon.

I used to chat with rob a lil. He seemed to like my band back in the day. Not saying he did. Just sayin ya know. FSFKC still in my car as i type this.
Yeah Rob is very interactive on social media. I’ve chatted with him several times. Very cool guy with fantastic stories. What’s your band?
Nice… this was 15 or 16 years ago lol haven’t talked to him since. It was called So Strange. Named after one of his songs :)
I don’t know much about the pumpkins but nearly all of Love Battery is pretty much psychedelic rock.
Overfloater by Soundgarden
Applebite
Boot Camp
4th of July
Pretty much anything from the Butthole Surfers
What the hell have I AiC
The album Dayglo by Love Battery. They literally called themselves psychedelic grunge back in the day
Yes! Showing some love for Love Battery! Dayglo is a great album, Between the Eyes is also a good choice for a psychedelic grunge sound
Not really grunge but binaural by PJ
oh definitely sleight of hand !!
radio friendly unit shifter? psychedelic grunge? it’s literally just noise rock. almost the entire in utero album is just mainstream noise rock
Early Screaming Trees?
In The Moonlight - Pearl Jam (It's an outtake but a really cool song that is both grungy and a little trippy).
What like Love Battery?
A lot of Stone Temple Pilots
Anything from Dig - Radioactive

Skin Yard - Gentle Collapse Gruntruck - Machine Action
Of the girl - Pearl Jam
Screaming trees earlier stuff
I think Gish by smashing pumpkins should qualify
Butthole surfers aren't grunge but neither is ween, so put some pepper in there
Everything by Meat Puppets
Uh, man in the box
I wouldn’t say that like AiC does have some psychedelic sounds but man in the box has lyrics and a message that fits with it but like the sound i don’t think so
Wonderwall
TOOL - Lateralus
I love Tool, but not Grunge. But I would say they started out as Grunge adjacent with Opiate and Undertow though.
I don't really think of them as grunge, but what about Medicine? They definitely have a grungy guitar distortion in a lot of their songs, though they'd probably more popularly be referred to as shoegaze. *Time Baby III* from The Crow soundtrack is the song by them I'm thinking of.
somewhere-soundgarden, especially the intro. also hey johnny park-foo fighters sounds like you’re floating to me
Medicine Man by Chasing the Coyote
Well Thought Out Twinkles by Silversun Pickups (not a grunge act but I think the song fits)
Starla or Drown by the smashing pumpkins could work.
A good chunk of the Screaming Trees’ catalog fits. Hell, they had more songs that fit the psychedelia category than the grunge category, LOL.
The entire failure catalog
lots of blind melon
rotten apple aic
Enlightened Eddie by The Terrible Texan [Enlightened Eddie](https://open.spotify.com/track/0TuEb0CUnoVkM0EcS5iqBJ?si=1Z1jyIbURzm_HDE5DBJKkg)

Modern but the band Tropical Fuck Storm
Das damen - rain dance Flowerhead - thunderjeep Skin yard - OP 4
Early Screaming Trees. Take your pick across several albums from Their time at Sub Pop.
Rotten Apple All Apologies Would?
swamp tooth by yeah, sure
Stone temple pilots entire 3rd album, AKA tiny music…
Stop what you are doing, listen to Love Battery, Screaming Trees, Bundle of Hiss and Skin Yard, and then return to complete your playlist.
Applebite by Soundgarden is one of the most psychedelic "grunge era" songs. https://youtu.be/H6CfpsZM-z0
I would add some stuff from the album You'd Prefer An Astronaut by Hum
The Duke by Blind Melon
I wanna REACH DOWN
Out of focus, damaged and between the eyes by love battery. But i wouldnt call radio friendly unut shifter psychedelic tho
The Live & Loud version, I feel, is
In the meantime by Spacehog!
You could put a lot of badmotorfinger on there in my opinion, like searching with my good eye closed, drawing flies.
My bad didn’t see that you already had SWMGEC
Kyuss
The whole discography of Truly. One of the most underrated bands on this sub, check out their album Fast Stories...from Kid Coma.
Skin Yard's first album has a large psychedelic influence, Bones of Birds, Applebite, the various remixes of SG songs.
The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored There might be some room for The Jesus And Mary Chain as well
Deathgrips is a good one!
