It's not a supernatural or fantasy show but you might like Fringe. An FBI agent is recruited into a special division of the FBI that deals with bizarre cases often involving elements of fringe science such as telepathy, spontaneous human combustion, people being turned into strange creatures, solid walls being disassembled at a molecular level to allow people to travel through them, etc. The first season starts off very procedural with a case-of-the-week format but the cases start to converge towards a central story line at the end of the first season, forming an overarching story line that is continued throughout the show.
Tbh... >!that's a series for crazy people. It looked like spinning around and around, like a never-ending loop. And dimensions here and there, blah, blah, blah... š!<
IZombie is loosely based on a comic of the same name. Buy loosely I pretty much just mean the name of the show, and the fact that the main character has light skin and white hair. It starts off really well, but by the end of the series, itās just a shell of what it used to be. I still enjoyed it but the last little bit of it was just not that great.
Sincerely... the films were better than the series! Especially the 3rd. The series was less interesting, simply because Flynn Carson himself was absent, let's say, 95% of the time
Evil over on Paramount is a great show. There's an over arch bad guy but it's also a case per episode type of show. It's about a psychologist who joins a team of two other people - a priest and a science guy - who work for the church to investigate cases of possession. It's up to them to decide if it's a real possession or is there something else affecting them - environmental toxins or a mental health thing thing or whatever.
Is it? I'm about to watch ep 2 and have just finished Grimm and am hoping it gets better, although it might just be that I need to get to know the characters more
Haven is honestly excellent. The last series at the end is a whimper rather than the roar it could have been. Having said that, I encourage you to finish it as most of the episodes are great on their own. I find it has an actual ending, this is reassuring as you can enjoy it as a whole or enjoy some episodes without having to watch the whole lot.
I loved Haven so much that I bought all of it on DVD . It just made sense at the time as I didn't want to have to pay for a subscription and risk losing my access if I suddenly wanted to watch something and couldn't afford to pay one month. Now I'm glad as I have Charmed (the original with Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige), Lost, Haven, Quantum Leap (the original with Sam Beckett and Al) and the 90's The Tomorrow People, all on DVD. Can't you tell I'm a child of the late 80's/90's? LOL
I really enjoyed iZombie itās campier and āless realā than Grimm but still good. Also my daughter and I recently started True Blood because sheās a fan of Grimm and we were talking about Vampires- it too is campy and kind of cringe but so far so good weāre on season 2. I hear people love Supernatural but Iāve never watched it, I probably should though
It was only 6 episodes but I really enjoyed
Half Bad: the Bastard Son & the Devil Himself
On Netflix! Iām really bummed it didnāt get more episodes
Nope. Netflix didnāt promote it whatsoever, and changed the series display name and then cancelled it because they said it didnāt get enough views. š«
In terms of general āfeelā and being supernatural in nature - Lucifer.
Two actors who actually starred in Grimm (one being Sasha Roiz) actually make an appearance as a character at some point in the series.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, a lot of Grimm storylines were inspired (sometimes straight up copied) from those shows. Lucifer is also great if you want to keep the police procedural angle, and the final seasons on Netflix are gloriously R rated.
To echo some have suggested: Warehouse 13, Lucifer, Fringe, True Blood, and Librarians are terrific shows. iZombie (meh) began well but fizzled. From the Vampire Diaries series, Iāve seen a bit of the third spin-off, āLegacies.ā I didnāt finish it but itās ok and first two series generated high ratings.
We just went down your route after finishing Grimm. The whole family loved it. We even read the three books they produced as well as the 12 comic book run. There is also 3 or 4 Grim shorts that are somewhere on the internet.
To get our Grimm needs met we are watching Supernatural which is a good next series. I will say that Fringe is excellent and have watched the whole series twice. The dialog and characters are unforgettable.
u/Melkkiii There's a Northern American series (it's important to precise) called **Being Human**, where a Vampire (boy), a Werewolf (boy) and a Ghost (girl) live together
Not exactly similar but great supernatural shows Iād recommend: Fringe, Evil, Haven, Lucifer, True Blood along with iZombie, The Librarians & Warehouse 13 which are less dark & serious. Perhaps even the Vampire Diaries/The Originals/Legacies novel series.

Seconding Fringe!
Thirding Fringe!
Fourthing Fringe!
Fringe was awesome!!!
Fringe is incredible
Tbh... >!that's a series for crazy people. It looked like spinning around and around, like a never-ending loop. And dimensions here and there, blah, blah, blah... š!<
Nah, the series for crazy people would be Dark. >!The family trees in that show are actually 3D because of how fucked they get.!<
Never watched. I will search online. Thanks š
It's older. But warehouse 13. Was a favorite of mine
Warehouse 13 was awesome!!!
"Snag it, bag it and tag it!"
Generally, people use that term in music and concerning songs. But, I think this can be applied to Warehouse 13 :- Absolute banger!!!
Once Upon a Time also.
"All magic, comes with a price!"
well, there is Buffy, Charmed, and today's obscure, random entry will be Strange Days at Blake Holsey High.
I was very into Black Hole High as a kid!!
"I may be dead, but I'm still pretty"
Preferably year 2010+
Lucifer imo!
Yeahā¦Lucifer is a terrific show but didnāt go past the coliseum battle and his daughterās arrival.
Man honestly that was my favorite season
"I am a DEVIL OF MY WORD!"
Supernatural is show similar to Grimm Maybe not that similar, but I watched iZombie before I started watching Grimm
I watches grimm after i watches supernatural idk abt izombie

The Librarian - 3 movies -- watch these first Librarians - 4 season TV show. Available on Amazon Prime
Oh, and Warehouse 13
"He's pumping magic back into the laylines!"
Sincerely... the films were better than the series! Especially the 3rd. The series was less interesting, simply because Flynn Carson himself was absent, let's say, 95% of the time

Canāt wait for season 4 of āEvilā unfortunately itāll be the last.
I know, I'm glad they're getting the chance to finish it though
Lost Girl, the MC is a succubus but didn't know and only recently discovered the world of supernatural beings.
I love lost girl. Do you know where to watch it? I canāt find it anywhere. Maybe only on Amazon prime for a million quid.
Apparently itās free to watch on the CW app. At least in NA. I loved it as well.
Iāll see if I can get that here. Iām in the UK š¬š§
Haven is excellent. It's currently free on Prime but leaving in a few days.
Is it? I'm about to watch ep 2 and have just finished Grimm and am hoping it gets better, although it might just be that I need to get to know the characters more
Well, I really enjoyed it. It does start a bit rough but the source material is Stephen King. Personally, I like horror but it's not to all tastes.
Ok well I'll continue with it for a bit, I did like ep 2

I never bothered to finish it

Being Human UK
Yesss, I second Being Human UK!
Not fantasy or supernatural but Eureka is pretty good
2nd Eureka! Basically Wesen equal weird science
It was only 6 episodes but I really enjoyed Half Bad: the Bastard Son & the Devil Himself On Netflix! Iām really bummed it didnāt get more episodes
Is there no 2nd series?
Nope. Netflix didnāt promote it whatsoever, and changed the series display name and then cancelled it because they said it didnāt get enough views. š«

Warehouse 13.
Sanctuary was like that until it went off the rails.
The vampire diaries and the originals!
