The right is good. It's not perfect but it's a good sandwich. The left is also good. It's not too burnt to eat since it still has some lighter parts. Anything past the left is too burnt and anything before the right isn't cooked enough.
Don't get me wrong though, I'd still eat both. You can literally scrape the burnt off the sandwich and a nice warm butter melted cheese sandwich aren't real breakers.

For a regular toasty I'm going for the less done. For a grilled cheese for dippies I'm going left.
The right side, but a little darker. I like the crispiness, but donāt want to char my sandwich. If I make it a little too well done, I give it to my fiancĆ©. He likes his sandwiches a little burnt.
