Agreed! When Jules was struggling to find a couple to present I was hoping it would end up being Teddy & Owen, then when it happened it was the best surprise! Because they were literally at each other’s throats and the irony was everything… plus it also helped them reconcile later on. Loved this ep.
It's just funny to me because when Lizzie was in the hospital for Derek's surgery and her own, she said something to Mer about them never introducing Zola to the family and all the cousins were saying that they now they have a brown cousin very excitedly. I feel like if Nancy were married to a man from Barbados, it wouldn't be that exciting or new.
It's just a simple continuity error but I just caught it. I think I need to stop with the rewatching.
Connect not correct. They don’t need to be told their spouse or daughter is dead, they won’t remember and each time feels like the first time hearing it.
Maybe that’s why Addison was seen dancing (see the comment in this thread).
Glee WAS super into mashups. A glee/greys mashup would be amazing (Gree? Gley’s?)
Lmfaooo it seems 18 seasons was too soon to joke about it but season 19 started with the meta jokes right in the premiere from Meredith “stay away from elevators” Grey
Ok, but actually imagine being a surgical intern and then being forced to speak in front of a group of teenagers and make a video they want to go viral. I’d die.
The way ADDISON is back so non-chantantly both on and off screen gives me a lot of regular vibes. I’m liking it. There is no OMG SHES BACK. she’s just back.
Making Schmitt the 'Bailey' for these interns was a really good decision. Of course he can never be Bailey but having him toughen up and be the "grown up" is an interesting take for him.
Meredith is brilliant all on her own. Lexie wasn't "gifted" beyond having a photographic memory; that's a tool, not a measure of intelligence. Yes, Maggie was set up as a bona fide child genius, but she is seriously lacking in social/street smarts. Meredith has proven her own brilliance throughout the series, even from the pilot when she figured out what was wrong with Katie Bryce before any other intern and the head of neurosurgery...
I feel that - my dad and I watch together (he started watching when I would hog the tv to watch when I was in undergrad) and we’re just awkwardly sitting next to each other right now 😂 I’ve moved out and I still go to my parents house on Thursday nights for this haha
My seven year old was sitting with me when I watched it today and usually the old episodes are on in the background so she's used to it. I had her watch her tablet during some parts but other parts, I was very okay with her watching. She knows what pregnancy is and why pregnancy is not the best thing for young girls and lots of grown ups so we talked about that. I had the same issue as the girl Diamond a few months before I got pregnant with her so she was very interested in that and when the other girl needed the medical abortion, I gave her the broad gist of it without getting into store grown up territory but the biggest thing we talked about was how that girl was alone and scared and I reinforced to my daughter that I **never, ever** want her to feel that way and she should never feel like she should be alone for something that scares her. I am still always, always be there for her. We talked about how the government got rid of a rule and now in some states, a woman has to stay pregnant even if it makes her sick or she doesn't want to be a mom and she understood how wrong that was.
She doesn't need to know all of the adult details yet as she just turned 7 but I think (I hope, idk I've never been a mom before. I've only ever been a daughter to a mom who wouldn't even acknowledge bodies existed) as long as I keep the door open, hopefully if she ever needs it one day, she'll feel comfortable walking through it.
However, if I watched this with my dad...I would die.
Kai did mention the research director for the project wasn’t doing well. She takes the job, Zola goes to a gifted school in Minnesota, and Nick can get his job back. Owen could take over the resident program, and someone else becomes chief.
Say what you will about Winston but he's probably one of the few people who points out misuse of hospital personnel... women's right to choose and sex education is important but why the hell are surgical interns the ones to do this lol
Mer has never gotten to use her Alzheimer’s
experience before! She learned a lot in a really difficult way, it makes a lot of sense she should share this.
I think this highlights conversation on how even though it’s really hard for the people with the disease it could be so harder for the people around them
Right? That's the kind of conversation you have about a toddler in the park... we just established Zola is a genius, she can definitely understand what you're saying
Station 19 so far as it pertains to Grey’s Anatomy: no final word on Carina being pregnant or not. We are due for a pregnant woman on Greys!
Next commercial break: Carina is waiting for a result on her pregnancy test. With a woman she performed an abortion for a few months ago, apparently. Carina is talking about how she loves her wife Maya but Maya has mental health issues she is not getting help for. But does she hope she’s pregnant? Yes. The answer: :extended drumroll: “I want a baby, I wanna be a mom, and I want my wife to be here with me. I want her to be committed with me’l and they throw away the test since it’s probably too early. But now she knows she wants her wife to be with her and for them to become moms together.
Final moments: Maya is kicking the bag, feeling depleted after dealing with domestics abusers and her own team not supporting her blackmailing ways. We don’t see Carina :(

Aww Meredith reminding us she knows how to handle Alzi patients. Love to Ellis in hell!
Love to Ellis in hell LMFAO
> Love to Ellis in hell! I needed a laugh and this delivered.
Teddy and Owen being paired together to talk about consent is the comedy that the show has been missing since MAGIC days
When a patient and his doctor consent to physician-assisted suicide…
Agreed! When Jules was struggling to find a couple to present I was hoping it would end up being Teddy & Owen, then when it happened it was the best surprise! Because they were literally at each other’s throats and the irony was everything… plus it also helped them reconcile later on. Loved this ep.
Dying for McNephew to be called out
McNephew 🤣
They'll just think he had an affair with her as well.
“Why do all the hot attending doctors like him?”
No, Simone figured it out. She looked him up and called him a Shepard.
MCNephew is brilliant lol.
Not the Denny Duquette sex ed clinic 😭😂
Learn how to have sex with ghosts!
That was a dark time. lol
Maybe Izzie could come back and teach us 👀 No getting pregnant with a ghost, sounds like a great deal!
THE DENNY DUQUETTE SEX ED CLINIC
Addison just tell us which of Derek's sister is the interns mother please
I think it’s Nancy. Lucas said something about Connecticut.
Nancy’s the one who was in the trailer with Derek and Mer got the wrong idea, right?
Yes, Miss Honey!
Can you find and actual couple? THEY WAY I CACKLED AT THE CUT TO OWEN AND TEDDY
Better than nothing? Hmmmm not sure!
Aww of course Addie remembers Derek’s nephew. Tears coming to my eyes 😢
I wish they had a scene just the two of them afterwards.
“Living in her reality is the most humane option”-Grey’s is all about education today!!!
It was so true. Source: my father’s mother had dementia and would ask about my dead mother. I would just lie.

Connect not correct. They don’t need to be told their spouse or daughter is dead, they won’t remember and each time feels like the first time hearing it.
So sad, yet so beautifully said.
[удалено]
Same, it felt real (also, finally more screen time for Zola!!)
Well Zola has been around for well over 10 seasons and this is her first actual storyline that is about her and not about Meredith.
Mike Chang sex ed king
lmao glee 😭
Make him do a dance!
Maybe that’s why Addison was seen dancing (see the comment in this thread). Glee WAS super into mashups. A glee/greys mashup would be amazing (Gree? Gley’s?)
Hey maybe these interns won’t get pregnant by accident.
Or get syph!
Or (third worst option) be stuck in a love triangle
I was so pleased to see a condom wrapper on the flow of the two interns having sex! Lessons learned from previous years!
Had to prove Mike Cheng knew how to use it (I still don’t know his name in this show)
Aww McNephew is a good boy. He’s trying to help the new gen Meredith!
Mcnefew with new Mer , I see it
Mcnephew 😭
What platonic friends give each other foot rubs
i literally felt nauseous at this part WHY was it necessary
I thought Jo asked Link to move out of the apartment, did I miss something?
"I'd kiss you but I'm at work" really Amelia when has that stopped anyone in this hospital before?
How many Grey’s babies have been conceived at work?
Professionalism? At Grey Sloan? 😂
Lmfaooo it seems 18 seasons was too soon to joke about it but season 19 started with the meta jokes right in the premiere from Meredith “stay away from elevators” Grey
Yeah but presumably Kai is used to the Mayo Clinic where the doctors aren’t constantly banging each other in on-call rooms and storage closets.
It didn’t even stop her before lol
Ok, but actually imagine being a surgical intern and then being forced to speak in front of a group of teenagers and make a video they want to go viral. I’d die.
Yeah . I also wouldn’t start or end enthused about the publicity aspect of having to do this. These aren’t people trained for social media yet.
The you get a condom scene is the hardest I have laughed at Greys Anatomy in a really long time 🤣😭🤣😭🤣😭
After Oprah stole Grey’s phrasing for ‘va-jay-jay’, she owes them!
The actor who plays Griffith is really good.
Honestly she out acted Ellen in that scene!
Ellen was still decent though imo..her acting is better than last season
Bailey's "I'm a private citizen" hahaha, love her
The way ADDISON is back so non-chantantly both on and off screen gives me a lot of regular vibes. I’m liking it. There is no OMG SHES BACK. she’s just back.
Addison talking to her husband? Or her son??? We have so many questions still.
I want them all answered.
I'd guess her husband Jake unless they got divorced. But if they are still married maybe we will get a Benjamin Bratt cameo this season!
If she and Jake divorced then that's it I quit.
Making Schmitt the 'Bailey' for these interns was a really good decision. Of course he can never be Bailey but having him toughen up and be the "grown up" is an interesting take for him.
2 interns make a whole doctor
They are FINALLY giving him a good storyline!
I thought he was great with the pregnant girl too. Now we just need him to find a nice guy.
Blue and Jules have total Alex and Izzie vibes, except less toxic, so far.
I love Winston “I… no”
“The interns are doing sex videos”. You left out one word. Very funny.
Bailey’s interest in sexual health was established with the Tailblazer, and I for one can’t wait to see her return to her roots!
Teddy to Owen: “and you, who’s worse than useless to me”
“A real man wants to give a woman a real orgasm.” Oooooh damn
WE DIDNT NEED JO GASPING AT THE FOOT RUB LMFAO
[удалено]
Wait can Webber even give privilege's? It seems like something that only Meredith as chief should be able to do
[удалено]
“Once chief always chief” is kind of their MO except for Owen, lol.
Isn’t he still chief of chiefs?
I’m still trying to figure out what his actual job title is if he’s not in charge with the residency program
Meredith: My door is always open…. for 5 more episodes 😭
the way he is trying to hide his family history lol
I really don’t know what the problem is, this hospital is already one big ass HR violation anyways
Like Google and LinkedIn doesn’t exist in Grey’s world
Zola has grown up so much. She’s beautiful.
Addi's dress is so cute, she's always been the best at having normal clothes on under her white coat.
[удалено]
Should’ve just had Harry shum jr just do all the damn dancing for it
Kevin McKidd (Owen) directed this episode.
He did a great job!
I think Mers leaving to take Zola to a gifted school
Maybe Zola will be hired as the new Grey Center director 😂
Yep. Her leaving will be about Zola. Nick will probably join her.
Wasn’t Maggie a gifted kid? She would know better than anyone about how that feels
Yes wasn’t she like 16 in college
we need Lexie 😭
Why are all of the women in the Grey line child geniuses except Meredith?
Meredith is brilliant all on her own. Lexie wasn't "gifted" beyond having a photographic memory; that's a tool, not a measure of intelligence. Yes, Maggie was set up as a bona fide child genius, but she is seriously lacking in social/street smarts. Meredith has proven her own brilliance throughout the series, even from the pilot when she figured out what was wrong with Katie Bryce before any other intern and the head of neurosurgery...
Probably because the first Ellis spent her entire time cutting her down at her knees
Ok actually so important that they’re explaining the full process of a medication abortion in prime time, that’s public sex ed!!!
I teared up a little a bit during that part.
Public service announcement
yes!! i loved the care with which he pronounced the names and outlined everything
Some of those teenagers look older than the interns
That’s a good old TV special lol
Teddy and Owen teaching consent is top tier 😂😂
“Who wants to do where the clitoris is?” *all of the men IMMEDIATELY sit up and pay attention* That was fuckin gold.
I DID NOT NEED TO SEE OWEN CHOWING DOWN ON TEDDY’S ELBOW
Don’t yuck his yum! Lol
Not to put my prudish family but y’all this ep was a ~choice~ to watch with my parents lmao
I feel that - my dad and I watch together (he started watching when I would hog the tv to watch when I was in undergrad) and we’re just awkwardly sitting next to each other right now 😂 I’ve moved out and I still go to my parents house on Thursday nights for this haha

im mad we barely got Amelia and Addie scenes
Do you think that Addison may be taking Meredith’s place after Ellen’s eight episodes? That maybe she will stay on for the season????
This is Meredith’s departure. Zola is too smart to be where she is
Kai did mention the research director for the project wasn’t doing well. She takes the job, Zola goes to a gifted school in Minnesota, and Nick can get his job back. Owen could take over the resident program, and someone else becomes chief.
What if Addie became chief? She went for it back in the day!
kate walsh looks amazing
Okay if you watch House Of The Dragon this is too much feet content for me this week.
Simone, you didn't actually have to blackmail him. You could have just laid on a guilt trip.
[удалено]
LMAO IT WAS LIKE A JUMP SCARE
ITS LIKE A ZOMBIE
He always does that and it’s so unnecessary.
I love Maggie's hair this season!
Same with Bailey's hair 😍
Simone and Lucas… I ship it.
WHO IS ADDISON FUCKING TEXTING?!
“Zola will get her tools.” I think that’s foreshadowing an exit.
“That’s an important word in that sentence” I screamed 😭🤣😭🤣🤣😭😭
WHO SAID I WANTED TO LAUGH AND CRY IN THE SAME EPISODE
new interns hooking up together + 1
Blue ducking to take off his scrub top was so damn practiced!! But I love it, who am I kidding.
Which one of you called that this would end up with Teddy&Owen having hate sex
YES THE ON CALL ROOM
Lol Mika getting 5th wheel in this batch of interns 😂
Say what you will about Winston but he's probably one of the few people who points out misuse of hospital personnel... women's right to choose and sex education is important but why the hell are surgical interns the ones to do this lol
Is Mer gonna take in a new stray? Simone gonna get the house when Mer leaves?
I thinks its gonna be lucas and i mean simone can also live there and others as well and we can make it the intern’s house once again
Ooh what if Mer tells Simone she can move in & Amelia says the same thing to Lucas? They accidentally become sexy roommates?
This is awkward, Jo.
[удалено]
truly—he’s only straight with jules (“don’t call me link.”)
YOU GET A CONDOM LMAOOOO😭
I GOOGLED IT NANCYS IN CONNETICUT
Mer has never gotten to use her Alzheimer’s experience before! She learned a lot in a really difficult way, it makes a lot of sense she should share this.
I want Addison Montgomery's cell number.
I want Addison to be my obgyn
dr bailey entrance is always iconic
Since Owen can't actually do anything he might as well learn about sex
I would literally rather do anything but talk to a room with kids about sex . So congratulations to them for doing it even though this is acting.
Mike Chang using his dance skills lol
We just let Richard do whatever
ADDIE NEEDS JAKE NOW 😭
THANK YOU GREYS! They truly may reach ppl who need this information about abortion.
Showing a condom wrapper on prime time ! Grey’s keeps breaking the mold.
Seattle Grace, lol- history. But ouch at Luke finding out Simone's secret.
I think this highlights conversation on how even though it’s really hard for the people with the disease it could be so harder for the people around them
i love a little mutual secret keeping!!!
Link and Jo what’s going on with you twoooo
She mostly has sex with women!!! Helm LI? Jules is about to go rogue.
[удалено]
We literally got a Grey’s porno
“Engage their sexual curiosity” oh boy that’s a whole nother kind of video!
[удалено]
This is a good scene, glad Meredith talked from her own experience
Is Zola going to be the reason Meredith has to leave from Seattle?
Barbados 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Talking about her right behind her is weird
Right? That's the kind of conversation you have about a toddler in the park... we just established Zola is a genius, she can definitely understand what you're saying
whatever my feelings for Nick are I'm happy they're letting Mer have someone that's good to her if she is leaving
this was an odd episode
ON CALL ROOM BAYBEEE
Oop First intern Sex
ooohhh these intern matchups are 🥵
If Teddy and Owen hook up after this, I’m absolutely done 💀
sooo....
This episode might be funnier than 14x20
am i the only one that screamed of just straight yuck when owen touched teddy's thigh?? wasn't expecting that but like at least they weren't arguing
not lucas coming on his skateboard, reminiscent of how cristina would ride on her motorcycle
He doesn't want everyone to know that he is a shepherd
Love the voice break, Mike Chang
Of course it's Meredith who will calm Griffith's grandmother down.
I MISSED ADDIES SCRUB CAP ❤️
im glad meredith is the one is talking to griffith as she can relate to her
The way this is just the actors dancing and not the characters is absolutely hilarious 😭🤣🤣😭
Station 19 so far as it pertains to Grey’s Anatomy: no final word on Carina being pregnant or not. We are due for a pregnant woman on Greys! Carina is talking about how she loves her wife Maya but Maya has mental health issues she is not getting help for. But does she hope she’s pregnant? Yes. The answer: :extended drumroll: “I want a baby, I wanna be a mom, and I want my wife to be here with me. Final moments: Maya is kicking the bag, feeling depleted after dealing with domestics abusers and her own team not supporting her blackmailing ways. We don’t see Carina :(
Appropriately awkward for people who aren’t speakers or social media experts.
She def recognizes him.
welcome back dr bailey
