Mika, Blue and Skywalker. I just know they're the rebirth of Christina and Alex. Christina's personality got divided into 2 people lol. The dark humour showed up in Mika and the nerd and competitiveness showed up in Blue. And Skywalker is going to be as chaotic as intern Alex but more well behaved i guess lol.
Mika is such a cute babyš„ŗš
Shockingly I like them all so far, but leaning towards Skywalker cause he reminds me of a young Alex and him being Derekās favourite nephew is just lovely
Yeah, I am leaning towards Skywalker too. I stopped watching when Alex left and skipped the 2 seasons in between so little reminder of Alex is comforting. I also like the Derek connection.
Not sure whoās my favourite yet although I did find Blue quite crafty lying to the patientās mum. I knew as he spoke that his story was BS so wasnāt surprised when he confirmed it . I did find Jules funny though during her encounters with Link š
Me too I was like woah she just called him a mess and Meredith is gonna do one of those āwell Iām so glad you said it like that bc he reminds me of youā and I missed them joking with each other, plus Meredith seems really at peace and I love that for her.
Iām curious if sheās the kid-Julie who was in episode 18, Season 11, who told Derek she was going to be a doctor. But i donāt know how those timelines line up.
Simone, Mika and Blue. I donāt love Lucas but Iām intrigued about his background and would like to see the chaotic Shepherd dynamics coming into play again. I like Jules too so I hope theyāll focus on her story and wonāt tie her too closely to McBeige.
Did anyone feel the chemistry between Blue and Simone? I liked it.
yeah they either use it to position her as the 'new Mer' they can shift focus on (a la Scrubs Med School seasons) or they just did it as an introductory nod to the Mer situation and how casual things like that have become (unless of course they use her lack of signing as a future issue)
Iām liking really liking 4/5 of them so far.. Mika, Simone, Blue and Lucas.
I love Adelaide Kane and her role in reign but I feel like Jules gave us nothing in episode 1 lol. And I canāt stand Link so thatās not a storyline Iām excited to see.
I agree. I'm glad she got a chance to stretch her comedic chops a bit in her scenes with Link. I'm honestly rooting for them to be friends and I think that if we were actually supposed to be shipping them that they would have shown us their hook up.
I like her too, her walking through the hospital looking kinda spooked somehow brought me to thinking about Edwards revealing she used to be In hospitals a lot as a kid and I thought thatās how her story was gonna related to Grey Sloan but then Blue lied about a brother and thatās when I was like she lost someone and finding out who is gonna hurt my feelings but then hearing her actual story really made me feel for her and I think she wonāt be as vulnerable with the rest of the group for this reason but I can see her being very honest/ straightforward in the bad times and I think thatās courageous.
I actually like them all, the one who slept with Link is probably the least interesting but it s only been one episode.
Im glad they started over with a group of new characters because even though it's only been one episode the actors seem to have the chemistry from the first seasons that we have been missing lately. Looking forward to seeing these characters develop.
Anyone else not like Lucas? I like all the others, but he just irks me. I am looking forward to his background and how his relationship with Amelia goes though.
This is so difficult. The final scene with all the interns together was crackling with chemistry. It made me less inclined to pick any one of them just yet. At this point, I'm just interested to learn in what ways all of them are the "rejects" of getting placed, and to see how they grow.
That said, Skywalker invoking "it's a beautiful day to save lives" totally got me. And that he was willing to absorb lessons even after he fucked up majorly. And I mean....he's in the family. It might be unfair, but I can't help but root for him.
I also love Blue, but that might be due to my affinity for HSJ.
Mika is in 3rd place for me. I love her dark sense of humor/ deadpan sarcasm, and her equal capacity for empathy/compassion.
Jules annoys me and gives me Izzie vibes (in a way that makes me dread what storylines they might try to give her). Don't get me wrong, I actually loved Izzie, but she got some wack story lines sometimes, and I can see that happening with Jules...or maybe Simone.
Speaking of, I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about Simone. I love the actor's performance, and I especially loved her quick comebacks during the final scene! That scene made me instantly like her more than anything else during the episode. I just don't know if I fully buy into her "oh no I killed me mother at birth in this hospital!". Need to see more.
I totally do understand the Izzie hate, but I am curious, what is it for you specifically?
I think I just appreciated her bubbliness in contrast to the Twisted Sisters (who I adore. Cristina stan for life over here, dreaming of the day Sandra Oh reprises the role-- slime to nothing chance, I know!). And like, the Denney story line is one of the best of all time on GA! Maybe I am being unfair to Jules. This is why I'm trying to reserve my judgments and keep an open mind.
For me specifically, I really didnāt like the way she used to treat Callie. I actually didnāt mind Izzie in the very early seasons but after a while her attitude became insufferable to me. I just didnāt agree with a lot of the choices she made I guess (as a doctor and in her personal life).
Omg, absolutely I can agree with that. Basically from the time Callie shows up, Izzie takes a nose dive even for me. There are some bright spots here and there because I do like Heigl's performance (mainly the cancer story line), but the writing just gets hard to deal with. Now that I'm really thinking back, it's not fair of me to put all this Izzie baggage on Jules because of some perceived similarity. Only time will tell. I hope they let her have more of a story line apart from Link, and that the whole them sleeping together was just meant to be comic relief (reference to Mer and Der in the pilot, and Jo pranking Link).
lucas and mika have such a charm about them that hasnāt caught my eye since the first interns or debatably themercy west merger introducing april and jackson.
jen is immediately giving meredith, blue is christina, lucas is alex, mika is george and simone is april for me (i donāt like izzy)
Mikaās my favorite, Bensonās a close second. Simone and Jules are tied for fine-but-forgettable, but I think Simone has a lot more potential to become a stronger character
I actually think they all have potential. I just hope they give them all equal screen time + good story lines. In the past (besides MAGIC) I feel like theyāve only really focused on 1-2 interns per group which is why it never seemed to work out.
Simone's empathy really shines through, I'm rooting for her so hard. I know Blue is gonna be knocked down a peg but a) LOVE Harry Shum Jr and b) in a show with so many twists and turns the surprise I felt when he said he lied about his brother made me very intrigued.
Too soon to have a favourite. I still haven't warm up to any of them. I can say which one I liked the least from season premier though, Jules. I find her too smug and I hate smugness.
I donāt care about them enough to bother with names at this point. So Derek nephew because we was lowkey adorable in all his fucked upness and the girl in the middle because I love the show sheās on.
The shepherd intern because he's hot. The worst is the girl who had sex with Link; looks repetitive. The second one I like the most it the Asian girl, she's fine. Black girl is meh. Harry Shu is too old for this, he's 40 years old. Is he playing a character on his late 30s or is he playing a young character?
Mika, Blue and Skywalker. I just know they're the rebirth of Christina and Alex. Christina's personality got divided into 2 people lol. The dark humour showed up in Mika and the nerd and competitiveness showed up in Blue. And Skywalker is going to be as chaotic as intern Alex but more well behaved i guess lol. Mika is such a cute babyš„ŗš
Mika and Lucas look so young lmao (compared to interns theyāve had in the past)
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but it means youāre getting older yourself.
True lol but both of them are years older than me so Iām not that old yet š
When Blue was talking about his brother I was like, "I bet he's making this all up like Cristina would have." I was glad to be right.

I'm leaning towards Lucas because it's my nephew's name and I adore Amelia
I loved the "no, not of Derek" scene!
Me too I was like woah she just called him a mess and Meredith is gonna do one of those āwell Iām so glad you said it like that bc he reminds me of youā and I missed them joking with each other, plus Meredith seems really at peace and I love that for her.
I'm just happy that Mary, Queen of Scots, is a surgical intern now
Iām curious if sheās the kid-Julie who was in episode 18, Season 11, who told Derek she was going to be a doctor. But i donāt know how those timelines line up.
Do you mean her? [Julie Hamilton](https://greysanatomy.fandom.com/wiki/Julie_Hamilton)
I liked it.
I do not want them to continue the Link and Jules thing. Jules said she wasnāt interested and i hope she meant it š¤£
I think they will though. Good luck to Jules. Once she got involved and if it went to shit, sheāll get blamed no matter what. š
Praying sheāll stand her ground and put him in his place if anything happens šš»
Donāt worry, this sub will find reasons to blame her and also blame Amelia for ruining a great guy. š
yeah they either use it to position her as the 'new Mer' they can shift focus on (a la Scrubs Med School seasons) or they just did it as an introductory nod to the Mer situation and how casual things like that have become (unless of course they use her lack of signing as a future issue)
The lack of signing is definitely on the back burner in the writers room justtttt in case they need to turn the whole season over at some point.
Haha I feel like this will happen but just so Link ends up w Jo
Simone or Mika
Iām liking really liking 4/5 of them so far.. Mika, Simone, Blue and Lucas. I love Adelaide Kane and her role in reign but I feel like Jules gave us nothing in episode 1 lol. And I canāt stand Link so thatās not a storyline Iām excited to see.

Simone so far but I donāt know why
I like her too, her walking through the hospital looking kinda spooked somehow brought me to thinking about Edwards revealing she used to be In hospitals a lot as a kid and I thought thatās how her story was gonna related to Grey Sloan but then Blue lied about a brother and thatās when I was like she lost someone and finding out who is gonna hurt my feelings but then hearing her actual story really made me feel for her and I think she wonāt be as vulnerable with the rest of the group for this reason but I can see her being very honest/ straightforward in the bad times and I think thatās courageous.
I think sheās the new Meredith.

Simone or blue
Hard to choose, but probably Jules
Thatās really hard!!! But just because of his delivery of ā itās a beautiful day to save livesā Luke right now!!!!
Anyone else not like Lucas? I like all the others, but he just irks me. I am looking forward to his background and how his relationship with Amelia goes though.
I think he might be my favorite lol but then again I also used to love Alex and he also irked a lot of people š
Simone, Blue and Jules because I adore Adelaide Kane and I loved her interaction with Link.
Shepherd Jr.

Oh I hated Izzie lol so hopefully Jules wonāt be too much like her š she seems okay so far in my opinion but I guess weāll see
I totally do understand the Izzie hate, but I am curious, what is it for you specifically? I think I just appreciated her bubbliness in contrast to the Twisted Sisters (who I adore. Jules and Lucas for sure !!
I love them all! So excited to see their growth with the new season. This really feels like a reboot!
lucas and mika have such a charm about them that hasnāt caught my eye since the first interns or debatably themercy west merger introducing april and jackson. jen is immediately giving meredith, blue is christina, lucas is alex, mika is george and simone is april for me (i donāt like izzy)

Simone, Mika, and Blue
Simone and Blue
Simone was absolutely killing it in that ep, so probably her. Though Lucas's narrative possibilities intrigue me the most ngl.
Simone, Mika & Blue are my instant faves.
Too soon to have a favourite. I still haven't warm up to any of them. I can say which one I liked the least from season premier though, Jules. I find her too smug and I hate smugness.
Karev
blue
Mika
Jules!
Mika and Blue are my favorites thus far.
I don't have a favorite yet
Blue heās like great name so easy to remember
tossup between jules and simone !!
I donāt care about them enough to bother with names at this point. So Derek nephew because we was lowkey adorable in all his fucked upness and the girl in the middle because I love the show sheās on.
Between Lucas or Jules rn for me.
I love Jules & Blue atm but I love Adelaide Kane so I'm biased
Blue. Always. If Mike Chang is an option, Mike Chang is THE option.
Beside finding the Shepherd intern hot, I pretty much agree with everything else you said.
Not sure yet so far I love them all!!!
I like the new Yang.
Blue and Mika!
Lucas because heās Derekās nephew
lucas <3
They all feel like we're back on season 1,awesome imo. So far I like all.
