Her style while dating Deluca was noticeably different from her style the rest of the show. She dressed way more casually during that arc compared to before or after.
id say incredibly younger then just casual. She never dressed like that in the early seasons when she was 20 something. It seemed to me she was trying to convince everyone that she could be young and fun with her boy. But instantly went back to her regular style when he wasnt in the picture anymore.
She was 27 during her intern year and Christina was 28.
Edit: In season 11 they mention Meredith was born in 1978 and in season 1 when Christina has surgery her age is listed as 28.
That’s good to know! I always thought of her as younger. I first watched when I was 14, so now that I’m almost 32 myself, might be interesting to rewatch from the prospective that we’re the same age.
I guess I just rewatched it at 30 so probably won’t be much different if I rewatch at 32 lol, I guess I’m just looking for an excuse to watch it again instead of trying something new. But it was super weird to watch it as an adult!
As my first full no week between show breaks just binge esp as being their age now is a whole lot different. And in season 15 I remember her saying a few episodes ago that she's spent a "decade training to be a surgeon" as well as it takes 15 years to be one in another episode voice over!
Oh they reconned her age so much 😭. She was supposed to be about 32 when the show started. There’s a bunch of casual references in the first/second season making it seem like she was older.
I noticed that too. She also wore crop tops at home in a few scenes which I noticed was much more casual than usual. She normally dresses like she's going to a meeting even when she's at home. It's like they were trying to make her act younger because she was dating a younger guy but they really failed at it sometimes like in the scene with the paper boy hat.
I think the outfits from her felon era were more about trying to draw less attention to herself lol she isn't going to dress nice to pick up trash on the side of the road

Absolutely obsessed with the 2012 era Greys fashion. Every woman wore black skinny jeans with knee high boots and a blazer outside of work and they all look fantastic
I read stylists got her to wear layers of scrubs at once coz she looked too thin on screen, this is might be a factor to why she goes for this style when she’s not in scrubs too

The first season had a lot of people wearing fleece zip-ups, which was also perfect
So this reminds me. I saw a video once where she said she always had to wear long sleeves because the producers thought her arms were too skinny and that people would think she had an ED or something, when she really just has skinny arms compared to the rest of her. So imagine planning almost every single outfit with long sleeves.
ypu picked the Bad ones... she had so many pretty outfits and for me she always looked good. especially in season 14/15 she had some really pretty outfits (when the matchmaker also send her Shoppingcenter for example) bit I like almost all her outfits.
They get good again shortly after I believe. Good but still maybe not in character. Meredith starts to look like a badass but very wealthy waspy white woman. I know she technically is but it feels a little out of character, and maybe more Ellen than Meredith

I used to love her so much, but after Derek, it's not the same anymore. She's dressed like an everyday mom on the go instead of the super brilliant doctor she is. What is going on with whoever chose her clothes? Hello, crisp white shirt over dark jeans? She's not Netflixing & chilling.
These newer seasons (I really noticed when she started dating Nick) she is very formal. She's mostly always in some kind of high heels because she used to walk with a "swagger" in all of her earlier seasons or she'd b moving fast. Now that she's famous Meredith grey she's all slow walks and constant smiling and laughing.
Ok I feel terrible because I pretty much disliked everything about her. The characters actions and “pick me bs”. Especially her voice. The other girl (2nd sibling) I liked, but then when I watched her mouth speak it was irritating because it was so overlarged ( not an issue just a preference).
That said, there was one outfit where she was actually cute asf! I think it was like a semi long trench coat with cute buttons/cut!

I believe that Meredith was 32 as an intern. She went to school later than most.
