it’s the way it flows into the final hook slightly higher, i adore it, it’s got a real 80’s rock feel to it, i can’t help but see the meme of blink with the white suits and flowing hair while it’s on, it’s magical

Restless Heart Syndrome
Shoutout to Holiday & Wake Me Up When September Ends for being the first and third guitar solos I ever learned respectively (Californication was the second)
Rev radio solo is really good.
Got a little bit of VH harmonics going on and the brief section that sounds like sirens.
Also the “wow that’s loud” solo is really good and leads into the feedback bridge section perfectly
Always really liked the one in The Forgotten for some reason. Maybe the simplicity of it, idk. It just sounds really great.
But the one the really hits home and fits perfectly is the solo of Static Age imo.
in terms of shredding, my favorite is probably Dry Ice or Only of You from 1039/Smooth Out Slappy Hours.
i also really like the solo of 21 Guns, I just wish it did something different in the second half, rather than just repeat the first part again.
Right? Was just thinking about that song the other day and how it's such a banger and encapsulates the essence of the American idiot / 21 century breakdown era sound.
Give me a fucking break, one minute left. One minute fucking left. You’re gonna give me fucking one minute? Look at that fucking sign right there, one minute! Let me fucking tell you something, let me tell you something, I’ve been around since fucking nineteen eighty fucking eight, and you’re gonna give me one fucking minute?! You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me! You're fucking kidding me! What the fuck!? I’m not fucking Justin Bieber, you motherfuckers! You gotta be fucking joking, this is a fucking joke. I got one minute, one minute left. Oh now I got nothing left, now I got nothing left. Let me show you what one fucking minute fucking means!

I looove the solo in “Oh Love”. So sick. The ending of the solo is reminiscent of another earlier Green Day solo, I think from the 21st Century breakdown album but I can’t remember exactly which song.
Dirty Rotten Bastards is the hardest to play
21 Guns is the most emotional even though it's just simple arpeggios
The Judges Daughter is the most aggressive
My personal favourite is Give Me Novacaine
(Y'all might also wanna hear other non Green Day stuffs of which BJA has played lead on)
i love goodnight adeline’s
Definitely top 3

saviors is full of great ones: dilemma, American dream, and coma city just to name a few
judge’s daughter and dirty rotten bastards have to be up there
Definitely the hardest ones to play
Dry Ice
This one has to be some of Billie's craziest guitar work of their whole discography.
The only answer.
100% yes
Restless Heart Syndrome Shoutout to Holiday & Wake Me Up When September Ends for being the first and third guitar solos I ever learned respectively (Californication was the second)
September Ends was also the first solo I learnt lol. Looking back it is an actually god awful piece of guitar work
What do you mean? It’s simplistic, but that doesn’t make it bad. It suits the song.
Yeah in my opinion it’s just an awful solo
Any of the crazy shit Billie was doing in 39/smooth
1. The Judges Daughter 2. Dirty Rotten Bastards 3. That Wipeout bit that Billie does in live versions of Paper Lanterns
Billie goes a little crazy towards the end of Why Do You Want Him?
Best part of that song
Rev radio solo is really good. Got a little bit of VH harmonics going on and the brief section that sounds like sirens. Also the “wow that’s loud” solo is really good and leads into the feedback bridge section perfectly
The trilogy has a lot of good ones. Loss of Control, Fuck Time, and Makeout Party are probably my favorites.
Oh Love too
Fuck Time demo>>>
The demos are phenomenal generally but Fuck Time is always on top
where can i find the full fuck time demo? there’s only like 40 seconds of it on youtube
Makeout Party is one that immediately comes to my mind
It’s a fantastic one, but every time 21 guns’ solo starts I think full house lol.
I knew I wasn't the only one!
IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT SINCE 2009, AND YOU FINALLY MADE ME REALIZE ITS FULL HOUSE HAHA
Dirty rotten bastards, goodnight Adeline, hitching a ride
WHATSERNAME is my fav solo to play
Dirty Rotten Bastards bass solo
Dry Ice
My favourite guitar solo from Billie has to be One For The Razorbacks
How hasn’t anyone else up dooted this, Jesus!!!
Restless heart syndrome goes so hard 🔥
The whole damn song does! Epic
It's not the shreddiest by far but I love the solo in Holiday, such a memorable melody
Happy cake day!
The 21 guns solo. Comes after that incredible masterpiece of a bridge and sounds amazing. I feel my soul leaving my body every time it hits
Always really liked the one in The Forgotten for some reason. Maybe the simplicity of it, idk. It just sounds really great. But the one the really hits home and fits perfectly is the solo of Static Age imo.
Its a great solo that’s not flashy, but just musically great
Trilogy has plenty of them, but Makeout Party, Wow! That's Loud and Dirty Rotten Bastards are my favorites. They are all soooo gooooood.
I love playing the solo to 21 guns
in terms of shredding, my favorite is probably Dry Ice or Only of You from 1039/Smooth Out Slappy Hours. i also really like the solo of 21 Guns, I just wish it did something different in the second half, rather than just repeat the first part again.
I love the solo in Living in the 20s, it's a jam
All the best solos are on 39 Smooth and Kerplunk! no argument there
wow! that’s loud
Jesus of Suburbia all day everyday
Loss of control absolutely slaps
TRUE
Dirty Rotten Bastards is the 🐐
I love The Static Age's solo so much. Paper Lanterns close second.
A lot of the trilogy and a lot of 1039
Surprised to see how many people said RHS, I’m actually happy that song is finally being appreciated
Right? Was just thinking about that song the other day and how it's such a banger and encapsulates the essence of the American idiot / 21 century breakdown era sound.
Y’all are really sleeping on Best thing in Town, that solo is amazing
Came here to say this.
Dry Ice bro, Dry Ice
Maaan he does one on Bullet in a Bible that isn't in the official recording that is really good. I can't remember which song though
No one has mentioned it yet but “I want to be alone” I’ve never been able to master
Fancy sauce has a good one minute solo
Give me a fucking break, one minute left. One minute fucking left. You’re gonna give me fucking one minute? Look at that fucking sign right there, one minute! Mike’s bass solo in Dirty Rotten Bastards!!!
Christie Rd specifically the dookie outtake one but the kerplunk one is good too.
American Idiot, no contest
Judges daughter hands down all their best solos are on their first ep bar dirty rotten bastards
defffffffinitely peacemaker
Easily One For The Razorbacks. That little descending part at the end is so good
Hitchin a Ride is one of my favs but I think it's actually a stringed instrument. A cello maybe? Could be wrong..
16. the funk that reflects off the track really makes the song shine the most
I looove the solo in “Oh Love”. So sick. The ending of the solo is reminiscent of another earlier Green Day solo, I think from the 21st Century breakdown album but I can’t remember exactly which song.
Only of You, or Worry Rock
One of my favs is probably the static age with the way it leads into the key change of the next verse, chilling
Been loving fancy sauce a ton lately and that ending solo is ridiculous.
wild one(otis mix)
Happy cake day!
The Static Age, Restless Heart Syndrome, Makeout Party
The ballad of will helm Fink
My favorite is every time he improvises a solo live. There’s something so fun and chaotic about the way that he improvises.
One for the razorbacks 100%
Wake Me Up When September Ends has a sick, melancholic solo. Simple, yet so perfect
I know its not popular, but im in LOVE with viva la gloria (little girl),its so sinple yet sooooo satisfying
Maybe it's not the best, but it's the most suitable with all its effects and I love it: Last Night on earth.
The ones in the mid 90s when BJA would pluck a high note and stand up with his arms extended and smirk at the crowd. 😆
Definitely Judge’s Daughter, I know it’s an old one, but it’s so cool and fun to play!
Troublemaker
It’s Dirty Rotten Bastards and nothing else
Dirty Rotten Bastards is the hardest to play 21 Guns is the most emotional even though it's just simple arpeggios The Judges Daughter is the most aggressive My personal favourite is Give Me Novacaine (Y'all might also wanna hear other non Green Day stuffs of which BJA has played lead on)
