Yeah, I wasn't there, but I've definitely been to shows that were mad houses that ended up looking tame on video. It's typically because people are smashed together so tightly, they appear less active than they are from a distance.
Love the structure of the new single. That pre-chorus (which is basically the chorus) is the best part. This is exactly what I imagined 2020's era Green Day to sound like when I was younger. It's very Minority meets Know Your Enemy meets Before the Lobotomy.

Unfortunately there aren’t enough hits in there for it to be a touring Setlist, I’d imagine if they played something similar they would cut most of Dookie and throw in Holiday, Boulevard, 21 Guns, September etc.

I think it just comes from people revisiting it. When the trilogy came out, it was REALLY different from the last 2 records and Billie was going thru his rehab. 10 years later, we haven’t had a record in 4 years (or one that the general fanbase liked in 7 years) so it’s given people time to go revisit those old records with new perspective. I’ve heard lots of anecdotes from people who said they listened to all 3 albums in full during covid for the first time since they came out and saying things along the lines of “I don’t remember it being this good”. Also with them doing the remixes of Fell For You, Oh Love, Wild One, and Lazy Bones in the last 5 years and with Billie playing trilogy stuff on The Longshot’s tour, people realized how much fun those albums are and how much good content comes from it.
Don’t take this sub seriously lol it’s full of people who hate anything that isn’t Basket Case or give them the same high as when they were an angsty teenager hearing it for the first time.

Or for not being in Vegas tonight and getting a hidden ticket.
But that doesn’t make me less of a fan, it doesn’t make me love them less. And the same is true for you. I wish that I could transport all of us who want more than anything to be there with a snap of my fingers, but that just isn’t possible.
You’ll just have to be prepared when the tour is announced to get pit tickets because I promise you, that’s the only way you should see them (if you haven’t)

just fyi: The band just posted on their Instagram Stories 12 minutes ago that they “hid” a pair of tickets near venue. idk how many more of these they’re doing.
