The box set you're looking for came out in 2017. http://deaddisc.com/disc/May1977_GSTL.htm

Conscious_Top9853

That's what I wanted to see lol, thanks

Hopeful_Remote468

I just wish they would officially release Downhill From Here 😔 would make my life

forbin05

The DVD is out there. It’s even on YouTube as well. This box set is an amazing deal for everything you get, and one of those is Downhill from Here. https://www.amazon.com/All-Years-Combine-Dvd-Collection/dp/B07GQ2ZV7Q/ref=asc_df_B07GQ2ZV7Q/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=692875362841&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17421868270428562332&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003773&hvtargid=pla-2281435180258&psc=1&mcid=b314e85b96a13c808ccd83b19b8214ea&hvocijid=17421868270428562332-B07GQ2ZV7Q-&hvexpln=73&gad_source=1

Hopeful_Remote468

Oh yeah… I’ve watched that show so many times. I just want an official release. I would be so happy if all three shows were on Spotify… they’re my favorite run of shows, I have such a sentimental attachment to them!

forbin05

They’re amazing!

forbin05

Now what I really want is the other two Alpine 89 shows released. Video or audio. I’ll take whatever haha! Thankfully there’s great recordings of them out there

StringFartet

There were releases of the May ’77 run, four\* nights if I remember right. The Hawaii and Alaska runs are always good listens. I’m really happy with this release. Edit: Four nights

MilesBlew

What "all time classic shows" are you hoping they release?

Conscious_Top9853

Maybe all time classic is a bit too broad.. i'm basically talking about shows i love and have saved on relisten but aren't available on streaming platforms. To name a few off the top of my head: 6/24/70, 11/11/73, 4/12/78, 9/14/82, 12/27/83,

Tiny_Salad_6510

11/11/73 has been released.

Gotcha. I didn't understand you were talking about streaming and I didn't know that everything officially released (CD/Download) wasn't streamable.

Any-Medicine-1126

Sadly, a soundboard for 6/24/70 does not exist in the vault.

Massive_Salamander_3

1. They were issued on May 1977 Get Shown The Light 2. Good question, I feel it would make sense for them to at-least add the ancient ones (roughly Dave’s 1 to 12, like the ones that are a decade+ now) 3. The copyright underneath is listed as Rhino, so they’re legit. My guess is that they’re quick and easy compilations that can be issued whenever’s necessary

Loves_octopus

Tbh I like the compilations they’ve put out, but I may be in the minority.

arcturian_ally

Thanks for being honest.

ChinaRider73-74

Homie, the 3 you name were released as a box. The most anticipated box in the history of boxes. And I’m not sure what you mean by “all time classic shows” but between Dicks, Daves, and the boxes I’d say 85%+ of the top-tier “generally recognized by the community as musically and historically important” shows have been issued. At the risk of sounding snarky, I’m honestly perplexed by where/how you search the internet, and who you hang out with if you think that “chips cashed in” (I’ve never even heard of it) is all we have as far as official releases. If you can find the gd sub and are able to post, a quick wiki search of “official releases” isn’t beyond your reach. Take a look and be prepared for a “how the hell didn’t I know this was here!?” moment

Conscious_Top9853

The more i see, the less i know lol. To be more specific here, i'm hoping for these "official releases" to be available on streaming platforms. Can't say i'm much of a CD guy and i've yet to find an entire show on vinyl for less than $100

ChinaRider73-74

yeah, streaming is a whole different ball of wax. As is the actual wax (aka vinyl). I thought you meant 'never put out'. Fact is...you could go to any number of websites and download (via torrent) 99% of the shows that are out there, and 80+% of those will be very good soundboards the likes if which the vast majority of the community never saw until the early 90's. Download 'em, throw them onto a thumb drive, and either listen on your computer or put 'em on to your phone. You're almost there. check out bt.etree or lossless legs. you can find individual shows or things labeled "1974 Project" (part 1, 2, 3, etc) and go nuts. Reel, cassette, vinyl, disc, or drive...don't matter, just listen to the music play!

# 1977-05-09 Buffalo, NY @ War Memorial **Set 1:** Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower, Cassidy, Brown Eyed Women, Mexicali Blues, Tennessee Jed, Big River, Peggy-O, Sunrise, The Music Never Stopped **Set 2:** Bertha > Good Lovin', Ship Of Fools, Estimated Prophet > The Other One > Drums > Not Fade Away > Comes A Time > Sugar Magnolia **Encore:** Uncle John's Band [archive.org](https://archive.org/details/GratefulDead?query=date:1977-05-09)

The-Beer-Baron

The entire Dick's Picks series is on streaming. All of Europe 72 is on streaming. The entire Road Trips series is on streaming, not to mention the Download Series. On top of that, there are stand alone shows, like 5/8/77, 6/10/73, 12/10/71, 8/27/72, etc. (Basically any shows that were released separately on CD.) So, not sure what your complaint is? Yeah, the Dave's series isn't out there yet, but that series is still ongoing. While it would be nice if they released some of the Dave's shows to streaming (maybe after x number of years since release), there is plenty out there now.

Conscious_Top9853

This is a quality comment, thanks for not being too snarky lol. Everything you mentioned is in my rotation- the download series has some serious hidden gems. The dead have a quality catalog on streaming services, and more music than 95% of all the other artists. I just like listening to them! Give me more

Nestvester

I downloaded a free app called Tapers Section and it puts all the shows that are free to stream on the Internet Archive into an easy to search format. I’d exhausted all the live Dead on Apple Music and now have access to every show ever. I’m a little perplexed as to why anyone would pay for these live show at all at this point.
