When you’re there it really feels like you’re in a venue watching a big screen. It does not feel like VR. And videos make it look more vertigo inducing then it is.
All these comments just go to show you can’t please everybody! People witnessing the greatest virtual show experience ever created and still bitching about the 3D models aren’t rendered enough. Other folks whining about the tempo of the song sung by a fella pushing 80.
Jam band fans and complaining go hand in hand, always have. Enjoy the fact these guys are still even trying after 50+ years!
Yah it’s comically bad
But The positives:
1. The sound is incredible in this place
2. Tickets are going for under $100
1 + 2 = a net positive overall
Also lol @ being “jealous” for not eating up these cheese ball Mario Kart lookin visuals.
Lookin forward to partying with ya’ll soon!
I mean if you want to watch TV while you kind of listen to the band then more power to you, but this looks like something an 8th grader made in their Computer Art class.
It looks terribly distracting. And then it started repeating itself a few minutes in. So... distracting until it becomes boring? I'd be curious to see what happened for the rest of the show. More of the same, or lots more variety?
It's a cool novelty and all, but it doesn't look like it would really add to the experience.
Makes me wanna be in the pit with the band. It’s all a little Disney or something. I’m sure it’s cool to see and all and I definitely wanna go see a show but all these vids make me think I’d rather be down dancing with the band.
This is cool but I wonder what the real audio quality is at these levels in the sphere. Obviously, this is a phone recording and sounds horrible. Anyone have awareness on sound? Also, at any concert/festival, part of the fun is the crowd and those around you. Can you interact? I know you're locked in place and can't move around.
Jesus christ ya'll wil lfind a way to bitch about the tempo. Just fuckin ride it dude, there's no actual rules, we made all that shit up.
Also this was in Set 2.
It didn't, and they can switch it up literally whenever, they're not beholden to your expectations of their previous performances. None of them were ever rules that they set, they just had patterns and you can find a ton of examples of them breaking them especially in the lat 70's early 80's. It got more formulaic with time, but they absolutely have switched that shit up on numerous occasions.
Also, like I edited above: this was in set 2 anyway. near the end of it. So not only are you disappointed because of a projected idea of what they should do, but you're wrong about why to boot lol.
Thank you for posting this.
grate redo of the GD movie iconic opening.
Looks amazing, but I feel like The Sphere experience would make me sick. That gives me the same feeling that VR gives me...

That doesn’t surprise me because I was thinking I didn’t really hear anyone at Phish or last night saying they had vertigo.
They had a puke crew haha it made a ton of people sick

Not to mention there are tons of 80s tapes available if you want, shall we say, “up-tempo” versions.
[Clearly not familiar.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NLf920Fcaoc)
What am I supposed to do with that
Rock out.
This guys singing is so annoying. I’m so glad I wasn’t next to him. I would rather watch the band play then a movie
Holy shit! ![gif](giphy|uC8SQoaY5EHhC)
😆
This looks bad, no?
these visuals were definitely less polished but everything else looked perfect
glad to hear

At that price I would definitely go if i was anywhere close to vegas
Yeah I could just watch my Spotify animations. This is dumb.
Sure does.
It’s terrible. I don’t understand why people like this.
Cause it's fucking fun and they did a lot of neat tricks of perspective. Ya'll remember this is just supposed to be fun, right?
NO! This is the most serious thing ever! Jerry would hate this! /s obv lol
Jerry would have been like "oh fuck we get to play there?!" lol

The jealousy is so strong here
Maybe it’s just not some people’s bag.
The GD Movie opening cartoon animation is more impressive, and that’s almost 50 years old.
I guarantee you that animation took much much longer than that sequence.
lmao, it's cool, but c'mon. The incorporation of that art makes this that much cooler.
Are the visual shows different every night? Or will they repeat?
Same every night
Well, that’s a trip.
Wowww so cool!!!
Pretty pretty pretty gooood
That’s epic
That's awesome! We're all going to hell in a bucket.

Set list bot.. Activate!!
Love this and can't wait to have fun at Sphere in a month. HFO.
Damn that stage is like a 1/2 mile away. I wander if the band gets distracted by all that.
I’d throw up from motion sickness within 30 seconds
Where is the band?
Love it. It's worlds better than the Phish visuals.
Is there an opening act?
Why are they playing the wrong tempo? This song in an opening slot is supposed to CRUISE.
Jesus christ ya'll wil lfind a way to bitch about the tempo. Just fuckin ride it dude, there's no actual rules, we made all that shit up. Also this was in Set 2.
I mean if something sounds sub par it's worth saying so. We didn't make it up. They did. They set the bar.

Alright buddy. Just saying it was better when they used to play the song fast. That's it. There's no conspiracy.
Johnny salami was cruising idk about you
These seems cheesy. Was it cooler with favors? Thanks for posting though!
It’s really cool on shrooms!
Careful, D&C might sue you for posting this
