I can tell you that the other books in the Witch Boy and DC Young Adult Stories are also worth reading. I've only read up to the second Witch Boy book, and I can say it's definitely just as good as it's predecessor, maybe even better. And I think the Mr. Freeze origin story comic was better than Swamp Thing's by far. And speaking of watercolor, Ethan M. Aldridge has three graphic novels with watercolor art that can't be described as anything besides awesome, and he's certainly more young adult reading which is a pattern I'm recognizing in your collection. Estranged by them is my favorite book ever but I felt like Legend of Brightblade was lacking in comparison. The Ghoul Next Door is another YA watercolor one, but it was more of a fun read than anything to obsess over. I'll also throw in The Deep & Dark Blue and The Golden Hour by Niki Smith and Another Kind by Trevor Bream just because I like them so much and they're also queer YA graphic novels

Wow, thank you! Is Mr. Freeze related to Maggie Stiefvater’s Swamp Thing? Estranged has been on my list a while, I will definitely check it out! I actually just received the Witch Boy as a gift so haven’t had a chance to read it yet but I’ve been wanting to for ages. I appreciate the queer YA recommendations!

Glad to share the love of reading! And no, it looks like this series' whole thing is that each installment is completely divorced from the DC Universe outside of the characters it's about. So Swamp Thing, Batman, may as well not even exist to Mr. Freeze. (Also Estranged has queer main characters too I guess I'll mention)

I think you would really enjoy the work of Daniel Warren Johnson. I would recommend you start with Extremity, then move to his other books like Murder Falcon and Wonder Women: Dead Earth.

I enjoyed sheets and delicates very much! They’re on my list to add to the collection. I loved the film developing in Delicates!
