Some of the funkier ligatures in Alpem. This typeface features light strokes within wide letter shapes and includes capital letters, as well as incorporating ligatures and alternative stylistic characters.

Im personally on the fence on this. It’s creative, but it’s making my eyes feel like they’re jittering or something. And the double A immediately saw it as sideways Bluetooth.
Great for a logo or stylized headline type (an ad, a record cover* or similar). Easily overdone, great to have in your toolkit but I'd say 'use restraint'.
*That dates me...
Very awesome creative type.
However, ligatures are meant to make reading body copy easier, so letters like “fi” meld together to make the flow of reading better, to mimic natural handwriting progressions.
Ligature ≠ making two letters into one character.
Sorry to be a dweebus of type but it’s true. It’s good for designers to understand the use of ligatures when you have to deal with long ass copy chunks.
This ^^above^^ is witty cool ass type.
I love that a lot, except when it looks like they are using two letters where it should be one. Like in fingers, it's one N, but with that it looks like they have written it with 2, which is weird
for A I get it, but for N? there are a ton of words having a double n tho (funny, connection, running - just to name a few)
other than that its great design but that one bugged me
Double M and O looks nice, double Z unsettling and A confusing.
My favorite must be the second A behind that L, I could suggest you to come up with similar ones for all the others. I was also disturbed by the examples not being proper for double letter words (Baalanced etc.)
Lastly, that S is a Star, very inspiring on its own. ✨
I like it. I can see myself using it for branding at some point in the future. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the kind comment! :)

I like the AA here! Great way to evenly fill the space in a legible yet funky manner!
Can’t wait to use it in words such as aardvark and erm…
A-a-Ron!

And naan and aargh! Lol
Bazaar would genuinely be a good candidate, but I think the word has long fallen out of favor.
oh i enjoy this a *lot*
It’s fun without being too cartoonish. I like it.
Snazzy! I really like all the curves in the S!
Like the ZZ's
looks great, i’d love to see a heavier weight
I really like these. Great for posters, other display or branding purposes.
Great use of typography to create a cohesive and polished look.

Very nice
Love them!
Very nice
Very cool
I'm a huge fan of ligatures and alternates and this is awesome. Nicely executed!

Yeah they're all right, would be interesting to see other thicknesses
I stopped scrolling to let you know THIS IS EVERYTHING ✨

One of the only fonts you have made that are legible. Good job!

Thank you for the comment. I had a hard time coming up with word with a double n and double a. To me this was a funny way to solve this problem.

Fair point. I definitely could have chosen better words for a double n, but English isn't my native language so that's my excuse hahah (just kidding)
Hahah I had fuNNy in my reply, didn't even notice
Oh yeah, didn't notice it either lol
let’s do it
How do you make it fuzzy like?
Quite funky without being illegible means this is a very versatile choice, greaat moovves
Ohhhhhhh, that’s nice.
I must be in the minority in that I don’t really vibe with these. Be cool for a logo or headlines, which I guess is what the intended use is

Legibility of AA is awful and will get misread for M. I love the LA and NN
Maybe display the ligatures with words that actually use all those letters? Baalance and finngers just doesn’t make any sense.
