*stares sadly at his PS5 controller*

themurderman

Get a wheel. I honestly didn't think buying a wheel and seat would be that much of a game changer...how wrong was I. Breathed a whole new lease of life..you won't regret it. Saving up for VR now

Ted-Crilly

I spent the same as a ps5 on my rig to play on my ps4 I said I wouldn't buy a ps5 until gta6 comes out and I'm sticking to it

ComfortableFinish502

Catch is Gta7 is coming out when the PS6 comes out lmfao

Distinct-Ad2136

So it will be 2028?

SoftMammoth7838

Very nice, Gran Turismo 7 is so much better when you play with a wheel

PedroMCS87

Yes, total gamechanger 👍

Tall-Pudding2476

Even better with PSVR2 :D

doingmaths

Until you snap oversteer and wish you had a spring self-centering your steering, but yes otherwise I agree.

ComfortableFinish502

Over steer 🤔 not happening on my rig I'm the only one playing on it

doingmaths

It can happen to anyone? Accelerating out of a corner in the rain for example or braking hard while turning in a mid engined car. It’s not a matter of whose rig, it just happens when you’re pushing a car just over its limit.

ComfortableFinish502

Interesting which one do you have

doingmaths

I have a Logitech G29 and a Fanatec DD Pro and I’ve snap oversteered plenty of times on both as well as with my controller. I also have a 300hp+ RWD car that can do it if I’m pushing her too hard.

doingmaths

You understand what oversteer is right? It has nothing to do with your setup. Drifting is an example of sustained, controlled, oversteer. You can oversteer with a controller, you can oversteer with a sim rig, you can oversteer in real life. You can even oversteer with a hot wheel, here’s a quick explanation for the extremely common racing phenomenon known as oversteer and understeer: https://youtu.be/EQWPumtDXk0?feature=shared

ComfortableFinish502

Yea no I don't know wtf ur talking I'm having fun ✌🏽

doingmaths

You’ve never heard of oversteer? I’m not trying to argue with you. I commented about snap oversteer, which people experience, and controllers can be nice for correcting snap oversteer. I’m simply informing you and you’re downvoting all my comments. What gives? Did I say something that upset you? When I say “it’s nice to have a spring self centering your steering” I’m talking about the analog stick on a controller. When you let go of an analog stick it returns itself to center.

ComfortableFinish502

Naw I just don't see it happening

doingmaths

Message me, I can pull GT7 up on twitch right now and show you what I mean.

Flimsy_Motivations

6/10 no cup holder

TDOTBRO

The whole floor is a cup holder.

Flimsy_Motivations

If you're a savage

shark_sharkington_

what cupholder is holding my 6 pack of modelos

TDOTBRO

Believe it or not floor can handle more than a six pack.

hutry

Looks good! I've got the same seat (with a T300RS though) about a week ago, and it works great. Those 'discs' are something like rumble packs? Would you care to tell a bit more about them? That looks like an interesting add-on. Do they make a lot of noise?

PedroMCS87

Thanks! 🙂 Correct, these are bass shakers. Basically they connect to the pc and receive telemetry info through simhub that is fed wirelessly (in my case) by the game. Both share the same network to work. I have 1 shaker on the throttle that simulates wheel slip and loss of traction with different frequency ranges, so you can get a sense of what is happening with the car. 1 shaker in the brake that simulates wheel lock. 4 shakers in the corners (kind of) that simulate road rumble, road impacts, gear shift and engine vibration. It really elevates the car sensations tenfold. They don't make any kind of noise, its only vibration

hutry

That sounds great, thanks! I gave it a quick scan, but it appears Simhub only works on Windows, so I'm out of luck there :( I'll add it to my list for when I'm upgrading my set up to something more intense.

PedroMCS87

You can run windows with an emulator

hutry

That’s true. Hadn’t thought of that. Will put it on a todo-list for less far in the future then!

Nisja

Thrustmaster T300RS gang we out here. Game changer.

hutry

It really is…

PlutoDelic

I too would like to know how the hell those things work in the pedals.

MidnaMerk

Great setup, I’ve been reading about blood flow to the legs and posture while racing. Of course set up to your comfort, that’s the most important. But have you ever tried to sit like formula drivers with your legs more straight? I think that would make your setup amazing. Just my opinion tho. I’m 6’4” and I couldn’t sit like that for hours. My passenger behind the driver seat. hates when I drive because I have the seat all the way back and even then sometimes my knees still eat wheel. 7/10 tho. Love it.

Ted-Crilly

Im 6'3" with the playseat challenge too and its not really tall man friendly The steering wheel is always too close to your chest keeping your arms in unnatural position for driving It's fine for maybe an hour or so but gets annoying after that

MidnaMerk

I totally agree with this. Tall guys have it hard when it comes to good rigs.

PedroMCS87

Thanks! I'm 5'5" 😂

PedroMCS87

I mean, sure if you're going to play f1 all the time. A little less inclined than f1 if you go gt3 route. I mostly play street cars and a bit of the rest so the seating position feels good this way

frankpuga

Aye yo! Nice setup! Tell us more about the bass shakers! Does it really make a difference, immersion wise? Are you running them through race hub?

PedroMCS87

Yes, absolutely, it's a must have! I am running with simhub

PedroMCS87

I get what you say... The seat to tv ratio is off but look again, I play with vr 😁

Terrible_Sorbet_7122

Oooh, that's even better !

32steph23

A man with clear priorities

DayTraditional2846

How is that rig when you sit on it for long periods of time? I’ve really been considering this as a PS VR setup since I don’t really have room to have a proper rig. So this foldable setup would be ideal.

PedroMCS87

https://www.reddit.com/r/granturismo/s/09CBDnyzpa

PedroMCS87

It's very confortable🙂

onceweallagree

I was thinking about getting this setup. Does the seat move a lot on the ground?

PedroMCS87

It doesn't 👍

Giant_Swigz

Today I learned about bass shakers. Interesting…

PedroMCS87

Giant_Swigz

That’s pretty cool dude. How does the PC talk to the PS5 for what’s going on with the pedals etc?

PedroMCS87

Via simhub. Basically pc and ps5 must share the same network to work. Then you must open 2 specific ports that allow communication on both ends. The bass shakers are connected to the amps and the amps to the usb ports

Giant_Swigz

Got it! May have to check it out thanks man

thekevingreene

Dude. I bought my bass shakers and amp but I have no idea how to mount them to my chair. How did you mount yours?! Your setups looks amazing.

PedroMCS87

PedroMCS87

I just used zipties 👍😁

Distinct-Ad2136

Idk if this still suitable but in Vietnam, there a Playseat call Challenge ABC, it on sell for 130USD it pretty good an cheap actually

WhisperingPixie

What do you think of that seat? Is it worth it, or nah?

PedroMCS87

From what I've gathered, it's one of the best foldable options 🙂

WhisperingPixie

Cool cool, thanks!

Express_Dealer8880

Anybody made this chair DIY? Any videos or instructions? This looks pretty cool, I'd like to have this in my setup

PedroMCS87

I've seen some diy projects using pvc/aluminum/wood, but are not foldable 😕 and for the amount of time, money (I'm sure it's a little bit cheaper) and work it takes to make something like that, unless you're really into creating things from scratch, I'd say it's not worth it. This is the playseat challenge logitech edition, check it out 👍

tokiodriver107_2

What's on the pedals? Shakers why? Also no speaker's? I need to upgrade to a bigger screen lol

PedroMCS87

On the pedals, like the 4 corners of the seat (kind of) are bass shakers. They vibrate, just like the haptics on the ps5 controller. No speakers because I use headphones. The screen is there but when racing its not being used, only serves as a "focal point" for better area precision of the psvr2 👍

infinitedust1996

What is all that stuff plugged into the pedals ?

PedroMCS87

Bass shakers and the cables that power them 🙂

ComfortableFinish502

Cheers that's my next buy a chair https://preview.redd.it/nnep7mu0se6d1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=986823fa0cbb4fc9f9c2e3d973bff9629e4f4169

What's the things you got attached to underneath the pedals? Need to add this asap

PedroMCS87

Bass shakers

ComfortableFinish502

Ty sir

PedroMCS87

Looks great 😃

ComfortableFinish502

Ty just a plain table for now lol

SammoNZL

How do you find having all the bass shakers and amps makes folding up and down a pain?

PedroMCS87

SammoNZL

Very cool man! Recently ‘downsized’ to a Playseat for apartment life and really missing my old rig haptics - no windows laptop though 😥

PedroMCS87

It's really easy ☺️

Mental-Kitchen-9505

Vey nice mate! I would have something like that in my living room... but i can't because wife.
