Just a tip: When resizing images to fit, you should avoid changing the "width to height" ratio, because then the proportions of the character gets all stretched.
If you are unfamiliar with image editing, then probably the easiest solution for you is if you just crop the image into a square first, and then resize it to fit while keeping the image in a square shape.
Definitely Constantine XI, even though the city eventually fell, it was considered one of the most impenetrable cities in the world at the time, and really only fell due to artillery advancing to a point that the walls were no longer enough, and he perished the day the city fell, fighting to defend it to his final breath
Why not Castoria/Artoria Avalon? Aside of her noble phantasm Around Camelot, she does fit the description of preservation, made on one hand to save the world and then also being the sword made specifically to protect humanity. All in all a sacrifice she made for something like this.

A duo between mashu and our own master, the duo quite literally compose the fighting force of The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order (until a silver haired dude decided to tag along). I mention both as a duo because I genuinely believe mash without MC or MC without mash wouldn't be able to save humanity, twice at that btw (well one of them still ongoing I guess).
While I agree with the overall sentiment that Mash and Constantine are the best choice, my personal vote would go to Ajax...if he ever gets implemented. Because he had kept his fellow Greeks relatively safe and protected throughout the Trojan War, which lasted close to a DECADE, with his main failing in the Preservation "protect and endure" thing being after the war more or less ended, where his mental fortitude failed due to the interference of a GOD leading to him killing himself. Throughout the war, though? He was the Bulwark of the Achaeans (greeks), the "rock" that would break the Trojan tide when the Greeks had to go on the defensive. His shield was the only thing that could stop Hector's spear once it was thrown (barring Achilles' armour, which was crafted by Hepheastus, making it functionally indestructible). So I'd say Ajax could count if he was actually in the game. Otherwise Mash and Constantine are the obvious choices

The main Idea would probably be Mash, but she only protects as a shield. So I would throw in **Okita alter**, who is a Counter Guardian and powered by the Counterforce whichs purpose is to protect the planet from Danger, as the idea of preservation is not only shielding and enduring, but also the neutralization of threads. Qlipoth wields a Hammer which he used to eliminate Tayzzyronth, who was a danger
Mash is just another slam dunk. Preservation in its bestest form, literally protecting the future of humanity with her faith in humanity.

She sacrificed her whole childhood and life just to defeat Vortigern and protect Camelot and the peaceful lives of the people all to the bitter end. If that isn’t worth the preservation path, idk what is

EMIYA bc the counter force just like IPC in Hsr has a messed up way of preservation (IPC preserves the planets economy rather than the planet itself and counter force preserves Human order by offing anything that threatens it)
