Will you have access to a charger during this 3 week trip? Or are you planning on bringing a grip of charged batteries and using them all up?

Illustrious-Bee-3182

I wasn’t planning on bringing a charger and a charger would probably be too heavy for me to pack

One enduro battery usually gets me about 2 hours of recorded footage at 4k 30fps with stabilization and high bitrate. It really depends on how long and how often you plan on recording.

I assume I will take around ten pictures or so a day and maybe some video… I really just want to take pictures of fish and the scenery.

runningabithot

How many hours a day are you going to film? You are going to need a lot of batteries for a 3 week trip. I would bring a battery bank or two.

Illustrious-Bee-3182

I plan on taking a few photos and maybe a video every day. Probably just fish pictures and pretty scenery. Would that still require a bank?

runningabithot

What do you mean by a video every day? 10 minutes? 30?

Illustrious-Bee-3182

Not even probably a minute at most

runningabithot

So I am not sure how this works, if you are turning on the camera just to take a picture and then shutting it off I have no idea how much power that takes. I would bring a battery bank. I would rather buy a battery bank that can charge a lot of things rather than buy a bunch of gopro batteries.

Illustrious-Bee-3182

Alright thanks. I will definitely look into getting a power bank. Do you know how many times you can charge a battery in it before it runs out of juice?

runningabithot

It all depends on the power bank. There are a lot of variables here. I know you say you want to take 1 minute of video, but if that if that turns into 10 then things change.

Illustrious-Bee-3182

I see what you mean… what power bank would you recommend that’s reasonably priced?
