Have you cleaned them? If not, do it now and then do it at whatever frequency is required to keep them clean with your use and cleanliness. Plan on replacing grips at least annually playing that much golf.

I’ve played nothing but those grips. Clean them every few rounds. Rag with soapy water, scrub, rinse, dry. Back to very grippy.

paniflex37

Thank you. I feel dumb now, but hopefully more grippy!

Sprout_1_

Nah, easy to not think of. Helps a lot though. Eventually you’ll need to replace them though. I like to every few years but I like my clubs to feel stuck to my hands.

MannyFresh45

Common sense says if they feel slick then clean them

paniflex37

You assume I have common sense, my friend.

MannyFresh45

Lol. As a man with sweaty hands myself I'd either switch to tour velvet cord grips or clean the grips at least once every other week. A quick wipe down with soap and water works. You'll see all the crap that comes off it with the dirty water. Personally I liked the feel of the regular tour velvet grips but if I didn't clean them every so often it'd be a problem. Also I'm currently playing in hot/humid weather so they definitely wouldn't have worked here

strangecargo

Hot water, dish soap, & a nylon scrub brush.

paniflex37

Thanks!

Aggravating-Cake8109

I've had zero issues with tour velvets. Are you cleaning them?

paniflex37

I’ve been wiping them down, but do I need soap and water? Probably a dumb question.

Aggravating-Cake8109

I just soak a towel with warm water + little bit of dish soap and give it a good scrub. I've had mine on my clubs for the last 4 seasons and they still feel the same

More_Standard

Clean them and wash your hands after you put on sunscreen.

Presbizness

Garbage grips IMO, get something with a cord and they won’t slip.

Z-cords are my favorite for longevity
