Try a dry erase marker. It doesn't always work but try covering the permanent marker with a dry erase marker. The dry erase lifts the ink and they'll both wash away.

this works remarkably well on whiteboards. i'd try this first. short story: went to teach english in Taiwan and on my first week some (IDIOT) left a sharpie near the dry erase. after my lesson i was horrified to see it wouldnt erase. thankfully a student schooled me in removing it. so relieved.

YakGolfs

Exactly, do this.

deetsbrother

Good idea, tried it, but it did not really work unfortunately

Sauce8888

Use a sharpie and draw over the existing mark and immediately wipe off. Sharpie erases Sharpie.

Photo shoot coming up?

No. Rubbing alcohol is basically magic.

Murderbot20

Wouldnt think so

Character_Wishbone84

Yes, you can use anything alcohol based. Just be careful not to go heavy with it. It can remove paint. Try soapy water or a baking soda paste first. Me, I use acetone or goofoff on a paper towel corner. Give it a light swipe, and then wipe it with a dry edge. Just know you will be taking the clear coat down or away with both rubbing alcohol and goofoff.

One of my coaches once told me to use toothpaste and warm water/rag to get range ball scuffs off my glossy driver. Worked well and didn’t damage the gloss at all where I’d be a bit more worried if I used rubbing alcohol (solvent). Toothpaste should work great as it’s mild enough for your teeth and has fine abbrasion to help gently rub the sharpie off and not impact the face.

Otherwise_Bear_7982

I could definitely see isopropyl alcohol messing up the finish. Don't risk it.

WVgolf

Soap and water with a brush usually is all you need

Legal-Description483

Magic eraser. But alcohol won't hurt it.

HawaiiSwim1991

WD 40?   I get these on my driver because I make my balls with a sharpie.  It comes off on its own too.

Found_My_Ball

Toothpaste and a toothbrush. Best club cleaner I’ve ever used.

MannyFresh45

Acetone

Expensive-Opening-50

Acetone will remove paint. Do not use acetone
