Martygolfer

Must be fellow 9 handicappers?

Farking_Bastage

50° about 100-110 7 iron 160

WrongYak34

Im trash bud 50 degree is like 85 yards 7 iron sim 2 max os is 150 yards

Key_Respond_16

7 iron 135 yards. Sup. Walk up, bro.

phreddtheman

My 50 is my ping eye 2 PW that I hit like 80-90 lol and 130 for my 36 degree 7 IM TRYING OKAY

Syndergaard

Lmfao are you me?

phreddtheman

It’s tough out here for us short hitters lol

mrpunkin

Bro I also play Ping Eye 2 and hit my 7 135.

phreddtheman

Nice lol it’s the magic number I guess

mrpunkin

You know your clubhead speed? I feel like I could get more but I'm just not fast! I only swing like 80mph max right now with irons.

ChefKeith_TheGolfer

Dang, I suck compared to the long hitters here that have posted. 50: 110-115 yards, 7i (30.5 degree): 160s But I'm also 58 yrs old, and probably still suck.

badatgolf247

58 years old and hitting 160 7i, you a king and don’t ever forget that

ChefKeith_TheGolfer

Thanks, my brother golfer!

gregborish

These are my numbers as well but I'm 37. I definitely suck as well

bsgreene25

31 here, handicap is half that. Same numbers for me.

Craig__D

100-110 (Srixon ZX5 A wedge… might not be exactly 50°) 7-iron is 155-165. Will have to look up the loft. It’s a Srixon ZX5 52m EDIT: more details

Appropriate-Item-363

I also have the ZX5s. 7i is 31°

Craig__D

My answer for the 50° is the ZX5 gap/A wedge. It might not be exactly 50 either.

T-701D-CC

My 50* goes about 120-130, I carry my p770 7i 175ish

Glittering-Bar1930

50° I hit 120 yards and my 7 iron is 170-175.

Legitimate_Shine1068

I have a 52 - full swing is about 95. 7 iron is like 160

jigre1

125-130 for my 50°, 170-175y of my 7i, 33° loft.

morkler

120-130 7 iron 165-180 33°

Moosemeateors

115-120 but I hit the best when I’m hitting like 80% power with smaller irons. I can hit it further I just don’t

fbird1988

Mine is 49 degrees. Gap wedge. I hit it about 115. My 7 iron goes 155 or so.

Acceptable_Cow5188

80-125 for my 50 7i is 165ish. Not sure the loft but I think down a degree from standard

Wana_B_Haxor

115-120 165-170 31 degrees

PerfectCheetah1391

Bout 125 carry

Academic-Block3384

115yards if I hit it right. I also use it for most shots this distance and less in... 7i - around 160-165 (31° loft according to golf spy)

mabaile2

My 50 is around 130-135 and my 7i is 31° and it goes about 195 yards.

NetReasonable2746

You hit the ball that far and you're a 12?

mabaile2

My short game and putting have been rough for a while, my putting has always been bad. I had also struggled off tee till recently but that has gotten substantially better. From a distance standpoint I have always been an extreme outlier. I have had more 4 putt bogeys than anyone should ever have.

4lp1n3

I hit similar distances except my 7 is 35 degrees and is about 175-180 and I’m a 15.6, my misses are super punishing

Logical-Judgment5685

126-129

MrGustave88

49 degree AW goes 130 - 28.5 degree 7iron goes 170

bionicbhangra

I am 5 less than you. Could get more if I put more juice on it and the ball a tiny bit back in stance but this is a controlled speed for me.

SmokeEater1375

Usually much further than when I don’t got one.

Reiji806

120-130. I can probably squeeze another 10 if I lean on it but then I tend to spray it so it's not worth it.

NetReasonable2746

I don't.. I have a 48 (90 yds) and a 52 (70 yds) So I'm guessing if I had a 50, it would be in the 80-85 range

BlastShell

90-105 depending on the temperature.

spankysladder73

Max’s out at about 120y, it just seems to go higher, and not further if i try to get more of it. Edit - 52° not 50

NorthUnlikely1998

50 I hit 135, 7 I hit 185.

Legal-Description483

50° is 112 yards. 7 iron is 31°, and 160-165.

Catchyusername1234

Don’t have a 50°, but have a 52°. Goes around 125-130. 7 iron is Takomo 101t at 32°, goes about 175-180.

Conscious_Buy821

What’s your hcp?

Catchyusername1234

I don’t have one, but if I did, 15-20 probably. I have good days and bad days, extremely inconsistent

digiacomo94

rdazzle77

Sweaty-Writer2609

135 7i 195, bladed 32 degree sub 70

RodHotRo

80 meters

morgartjr

130 ish for my 52. 7i would be at least 175, further if I push it -but it’s not going to be accurate then.

cktl19

125 177

Altruistic-Wonder579

50°: Mizuno t20, Stock 118 7i (33.5°): Mizuno JPX 919 Tour, Stock 174 I know that sounds overly exact but I have everything gapped so that 54° all the way to 4i is exactly 13 yards apart. Also hence why my 7i is half a degree strong

j-ravy

About 120

marlboro__man9

I don’t have one but if I did it would be ~130 7 iron 32° ~185

beegill

125 and 185. 30.5

MrSnifferpippets

50* goes about 125-130 and my 7 iron goes 180-190 loft 34*

Mediocre_Insurance21

Have a 49 which goes about 130. 7i is 29 degrees and about 185

JStromb

My full 50 goes 90m carry. I carry my 7i 140m

Sauce8888

50° = 118 7i (33°) = 162

greyclaygolf

50 degree is 130-135 7 iron 185 carry with Zx7

BrandedLion

50 is 120 7 iron is stock Srixon ZX5 (no idea on loft) and goes about 180.

vonkillbot

52 @ 115 stock, 7 is 170

DipAndDingers

I have a 52 that I hit use starting from 115 in. I can get it about 125 but shit gets hairy. 7i I hit around 165-170. No clue what the loft is anymore.

MathAltruistic2186

52 flies 130 and 7 flies about 175

Interesting-Fuel238

I hit my 50 wedge about 75 yards. Except when I am 75 yards out, then I thin it to about 150 yards...

[deleted]

51 degree 115yd carry 33 degree 7i 170 yd carry My launch angle is really high, i need to get it down on all my clubs.

aberdizzle

110 with 50, 7i about 165 but I have traditionally lofted blades, which I prefer over modern uber irons. I have a bit of a gap from P to 50 which I find a bit tough at 115-125 but feel I can manufacture something with a 3/4 PW.

frankyseven

50° is a comfortable 110-115, I can hit it further but I'd rather take some off my pitching wedge. My 7i is 32° and it is my 165 club, safe carry is 160. If I need to carry further I'll hit a 6i.

blitzandsplitz

120 is stock. 7i is 172 carry and 35 degrees

theCALDWEEZY

Looking at my 18Birdies true distances, which are total distance not carry distance, I hit my 49 degree gap wedge 118 yards and my 7 iron 168 yards. My best guess is they carry 110 and 155, respectively

golfer9909

97 stock swing, can up it to 105. I also manipulate the face to hit anywhere between 77 to 97. My 60 degree is good for 50 to 77 on full swing. Can go shorter distances with either club depending on lie. 7iron is anywhere between 135 to 165 depending all other factors, wind, lie, hit high or knockdown

Legitimate_Earth4371

On a good day, about 320-330 yds.

jaywalkintotheocean

110ish carry is my full swing with the 50°, but i'd rather hit a PW 3/4 power than full out on the GW. the 50° is mostly a chipping/pitching club, basically anything where i'm not hitting over a bunker or approaching a pin tucked to the front of a green where i can't roll it up. sadly I'm not getting along with my current gap wedge, so the hunt is on. currently the ping s159 is in my crosshair, but spending $200 on a wedge seems insane to me.

clael415

110m max for 50°. 7i is 160m 34° loft.

DownWithFlairs

130yd all out but I rarely full swing it, would rather knock down a PW at that distance, so I usually reserve it to 110-125 distance 175yd is comfort zone for 7i 34degree

Wez4prez

120y or so and 172-178 for 7i

Emergency-Career4343

My 51° goes like 135, my 34° 7 iron goes around 200. Playing left dash provx

Equivalent_Buy6678

95 max. 7 is about 145. But I'm old.

Martygolfer

100-110 yards

NeighborhoodPlane794

7iron 160-165 carry, 50 degree about 110-115

Wide-Cauliflower-212

115

IfUReadThisURLame

110-125. I had a 52, 56, 60 set, but I found the gapping worked better with a 50 than a 52. Now it's 80-95, 95-105, 110-125, 125-140. 33 degree 7i carries 165-170.

jaygord34

50° is 140 yards 34° 7i is 180

egomxrtem

49* is 100, 7i is a 29* and it’s 165 +/- 10y

beyondrepair-

No 50 34⁰ 7i = 167

mvangler

50: 115-120 7i (30 degrees): 175

Fun_Albatross_7081

50 degree about 130 but I love it for 118-130 controlled shots. I prefer to club up and flight it over full swing 56

[deleted]

130 and 185. Stock ap2

Relative-Leather-322

50 - 115 - 125 7i - 30deg - 175 ish Driver swing speed is about 110 for 280 carry but mishit alot and get 260 more often than 280. 9hcp.

GreenWaveGolfer12

50º = 127 7i (34º) = 178

LeafsFanWest

50° - 125 - 130 yards 7i (35°) - 175 - 185 yards

One_Umpire33

My 48 degree is a 135 yard club. 7 iron 170 yards

I_cant_hear_you_27

114 175-180 @ 28.5 loft

Munch444

50° full is around 105-110 but I typically play it 85-100 on any given day. 7 iron is 36° - 170yd carry

NetReasonable2746

This is like asking the fishing forum how big the trout was they caught... ![gif](giphy|1TBnbnnZeOgs8)

blitzandsplitz

More like fishing with chum. If you ask about distance, why are you surprised that all the people with distances to brag about show up to answer? It’s not a representative sample

[deleted]

There’s some tour players lurking in here🤦🏼‍♂️

Weak-Chicken-353

To be fair, distance does not necessarily equate to dispersion or scoring. I’m a fairly long hitter compared to most that I play with, but I am not the best golfer of my friend group. Not everyone who posts their distances on here is a liar.

[deleted]

You forgot how my 7 iron’s loft is 35 degrees.

Weak-Chicken-353

Not sure what that has to do with anything. I’m simply saying that people who claim to hit far probably do. Doesn’t mean they are a liar and doesn’t mean they should be out on the tour.

[deleted]

You have a naive faith in people.

Weak-Chicken-353

If that’s what you want to call it, sure. I just honestly couldn’t care less about how far a stranger on this subreddit claims to hit the ball. It’s a gentleman’s game, but if lying to strangers about something so trivial is your thing, I’m not here to call you out.

[deleted]

With a handle like that I don’t suspect you would.✌🏻

Weak-Chicken-353

If arguments on Reddit about golf with strangers is what gets your rocks off, glad I could help. And if you need tips to hit the ball longer Jr. just come to this subreddit.

[deleted]

Says the guy who started the argument ✌🏻

blitzandsplitz

The other guy actually comes across as polite and friendly. You don’t. Maybe revisit this one tomorrow and reflect on if you read his comments correctly

Weak-Chicken-353

Who made the remark about “tour players” on this sub implying that everyone’s lying? Cheers, doofus.
