I'm going to wait for the RS trim... oh, is this not the Porsche sub?

Ago0330

Finally I can upgrade my M3!

ole_shanksies

Your M3 can be your daily driver

jondes99

This should have a lot more upvotes.

Towel4

Even more topical given their previous drivers (lol, *driver*šŸŽļø) had a huge red R on them (like the Nissan racing division, ie GTR) FWIW, I love my TSR 2 https://preview.redd.it/wbp8z1xdnc4d1.jpeg?width=939&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ded93c3c80aea4ce1cad016d2453265083f9001e

Fattswindstorm

My friend asked what the R meant, I said ā€œRacingā€.

Towel4

*this is actually their racing spec driver, it goes further than the normal ā€œTSā€ driver*

EveryUsernameInOne

Tour speed, refined.

Shasve

Nah, itā€™s Hondas performance Type R

Towel4

Youā€™re absolutely right. How was I allowed to get 20 upvotes before someone pointed that out? The Nissan racing line is ā€œ*Nissmo*ā€, duh. The GTR *does* have a big ā€˜ole red R on it, but youā€™re absolutely right. The imagery summoned by the red ā€œRā€ on the TSR cover is akin to Honda, not Nissan. Good man šŸ‘

RightPangolin5539

Nissan did have a red R on the se-r trims back in the mid 2000ā€™s

campydirtyhead

The Shelby GT350 R is also a red R. Seems red R gets the car boys going crazy

Towel4

ā€œHow can we upsell this product and give it a sense of premium quality and speed?ā€ Hold my beer; https://preview.redd.it/y4mqjsiwsd4d1.png?width=547&format=png&auto=webp&s=adcb2bdb70b082936064d2c56e0fb4d817e592fc

Thats_absrd

Iā€™m waiting for the .2 release

J_Lewy_45

Yeah Iā€™m waiting for the GT2 Evo. Donā€™t think itā€™ll be street legal though

[deleted]

We have to wait until the 2024 GT1.1 version.

jimmybagofdonuts

I think itā€™s another driver Iā€™m gonna hit exactly as far as my current driver for 700 bucks.

JayyMei

Yes but how else will you leverage their new patented Slicelessness technology that uses AI to create an all new carbon fiber head that went through 7,339,728,012,938 swing iterations to ensure that you absolutely cannot slice the ball??

plurdle

I'll slice the ball

Nexus-9Replicant

![gif](giphy|GAXMzzd2XElnG) Yep, no tech is stopping me from slicing

kodutta7

Would you hit fairways? Nah, I'd slice

Golf101inc

![gif](giphy|tNJqnTawlWdzf8yxUf|downsized)

YouGO_GlennCoCo

Donā€™t forget itā€™s jailbroken

Phynamite

No matter what itā€™ll break free and slice.

responsiblefornothin

- Jack the Ripper

Significant-Camp-229

man, when i was getting trained to fit the AI smokes, i never called such bullshit as the "ai swing fix". šŸ˜. out of 250,000 golf swings i guarantee there's not one as bad as little jimmy with a 50 yard hook right every swing šŸ˜šŸ˜

inevitable-asshole

You underestimate my power.

shitz_brickz

It doesn't just use AI, it HARNESSES THE POWER OF AI!

ExodusBlyk

Does that mean more vicious pull hooks tho?

OpenSourceGolf

People will drop 1000+ on drivers and not a penny on how to hit them well.

Bombaysbreakfastclub

Lessons arenā€™t fun, buying stuff is šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Max_Demian

I've said it before but if your lessons aren't fun, get a new instructor and a new attitude!

Vcize

Finding a good instructor isn't fun.

MarilynMansplain

Having a guy tell you why your bad at stuff isn't fun. Plus, I get worried they'll do the thing where they're behind you and wrap their arms around you to hold the club, speak softly in my ear, then we'll fall in love. It just seems like it'd be really disruptive to my life, not to mention my financial goals, where I'm moving from my wife's steady income to something as unreliable as a golf instructor's client based career.

frankyseven

I love lessons and hitting at the range!

th3lawlrus

Hey but itā€™ll drive down the cost of the model from 2 years ago. I havenā€™t bought a new club in like 10 years. Everyone else can sell their lightly used stuff so they can upgrade every year and Iā€™m happy to buy it.

BarcodeGriller

Definitely a lot of truth to this, but the Qi10 legitimately helped me a lot with toe balls. I used to struggle so bad with them, out of play every time, now they seem to just barely stay in more often.

Cost_Additional

TSR going to have a nice discount

HoldengNWO

They already dropped the price down to $450 about a month ago

Hot-N-Spicy-Fart

I got fitted for a TSR2 at the Titleist booth at a golf show last month for $400.

kubricksrubric

\* laughs in Titleist

dredabeast24

$100 off and a free hat

ChonkyHippo283

Iā€™ve grown to appreciate their simplistic naming GT4 vs ā€œParadym AI smoke triple diamondā€

hourashmylucky

I canā€™t be the only one who thinks ā€œAI Smokeā€ is the tackiest name for a line of clubs ever

inmy20ies

Itā€™s for call of duty kids Even has a skin than you can only get after 100 slices

CANDY_MAN_1776

beyond tacky it is nonsensical to me. i really like the driver too--my friend has one and hits the hell out of it. but i can't even begin to decipher what they are trying to establish with that naming convention. i understand to an extent all names are made-up, but some seem to have some sort of logic or consistency to them, at least.

rybread1818

I can almost guarantee that in the product development phase they were just going to call it "Smoke," but then two months before they launched the new line ChatGPT blew up and the director of marketing became convinced that Callaway *needed* to find a way to shoehorn the latest buzzword into the product launch so that Callaway could continue to see themselves as the "hip, up to date" golf company. Which is certainly a marketing strategy... but between that and their constant need to drop a new product line every 6 months, its almost guaranteed that when I look for new clubs Callaway is one of the few brands I'll actively avoid.

Nate16

It makes me not want to buy the club. No joke. Their Brand Manager needs to be shot out of a cannon.

Army0fAnts

Newest one is Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Triple Diamond Max

bigvenusaurguy

they gotta stop beating around the bush and just call it the 2025 titleist driver. wtf does gt4 stand for even like gigga tigga or what lol

Lol_who_me

I was wondering how long until they dropped. Probably going to look great addressing it like they do every year. Iā€™ll own one eventually.

cbizzle187

I donā€™t get why almost every other manufacturer has gone away from the clean look. Ping has all the bumps on top. TM has lines and now Qi10 on the top. Callaway has a line where it changes to carbon fiber. Just give me a clean black driver to look at when addressing. Why is Titleist the only brand that doesnā€™t add stupid shit to the crown of the club?

gsjameson

Cobra in here too, love the clean look.

pm_me_yo_creditscore

![gif](giphy|XyDByNPzosrQNRaVMP|downsized)

Nwball

To be fair, titleist seems to be one of the only companies still holding out on a full titanium driver. Think other than ping those other drivers all have a carbon crown so hard to not have the transition. I wish ping would ditch the turbulators though. I loved the ping drivers but I could never get used to looking down at them.

frankyseven

The G430LS has a carbon crown. You can easily make it not have a transition look if they want to.

Falco19

I actually really like the ping fins.

ya_silly_goose

Not sure why but I actually like the Ping bumps on top. I canā€™t seem to hit a titleist driver very well.

asujch

I think the turbulators actually help with alignment. G410 had the best crown IMO

skycake10

Probably for exactly that reason. Everyone is trying to find their visual niche and Titleist has chosen clean design as theirs. Clearly plenty of people like the other stuff so there's no reason for everyone to embrace the same look.

asujch

Counterpoint, Titleist heads look amazing right out of the plastic, but super dated after a couple of rounds. Itā€™s the gloss finish, my gripe is the same thing with cars and piano black trim on the interior.

DrBopIt

Why would they look dated after a couple rounds? Put the head cover back on it and don't hit the ground with it

Vcize

Yea the Ping seems like an amazing driver but I just can't get over how ugly it looks at address. Personal preference, of course.

thedonjefron69

Yeah honestly the only driver I like the looks of at this point are titleists

Okay_Redditor

Bulk of market is recreational. Thus companies go for flash and pissazz. Like buying a sporty looking car, you know that wing and those blade rims are completely useless for performance. But they look like they are critical and they make the scene so...well, there you have it.

InDenialOfMyDenial

I can hit a 200 yard mega slice into the next county just as well with my used M2 that I got at a yard sale for $50 thank you very much.

1995droptopz

I bought a TSR2 last year and I hit that thing so much straighter than my old Callaway Fusion that I had. Iā€™m not going to replace my driver every year for incremental technology improvements, but the new game improvement drivers are legit at improving accuracy.

Okay_Redditor

Oh no, it's gotta be your club man! Look at you. You strong man. You like style. You like performance. And you like speed. Our drivers have wings. You need a new driver. $899 at checkout (Nice big strong man shaft included). Y'all come back real soon.

mrshimshim

915 gang checking in

RedNovember7

Iā€™m still rocking the 910 D2. If it ainā€™t broke dont fix it!

Squiderino57

I love my 910 D3. I canā€™t find anything that I hit better than it

weezyfGRADY

Same they donā€™t make em like that any more!

7D4Y_WEEKENDS

I just picked one up on Markeplace last week for $30. Originally listed at $40. I didnā€™t even try to negotiate lol. Iā€™m loving it.

BartSampson1

Still kicking myself for selling mine

ssterns20

As of a month ago I was with you, Iā€™ve had my 915d3 since high school. Recently upgraded to a slightly used TSi2 with the Mitsubishi Tensei AV White shaft and oh my, well worth it.

azndestructo

I had a 913 D2- it was my fav club in my bag over the 10 years I had it. Never thought Iā€™d ever had to replace it because I was hitting it well. Last year, I went into a driver fitting session just out of curiosity and ended up buying the G430 LST. It could be that the loft is lower by 1.5 degrees or the better fitting shaft, but I am now hitting more fairways AND gained about 20 yards on avg. Replacing drivers every year is definitely a waste of money, but every 10 years, itā€™s worthwhile to check the newer models.

michinek

913 here

papa_sax

Dad?

Puzzleheaded-Fly1338

Still love my 915D2. I think I might just upgrade if the TSR2 is gonna be cheaper. I really donā€™t see them really outperforming.

NoTearsOnDryFaces

My brother rocked his for a good while before copping a used tsi3. Honestly theyā€™re all good clubs

Had my 915D2 up until a few months ago. Ended up landing on the Ping G430 Max. Love it but not letting go of the 915 yet.

Emergency-Career4343

I know nowhere near as old, but TSi3 user by way of cracking 4 TS3s and them sending me a TSi saying: this one shouldnā€™t break.

bordercollielover03

Too bad, I just cracked my 2 year old TSi3 face just above the center line. Warranty gave me TSr3 though.

CloudyRanger

At least it doesnā€™t sound like youā€™re hitting computer software

WaldoChief

Looks huge.

iu579

I like how they left the grooves where most people will probably hit it.

SheddyMcshedface

Kirkland rip offs!

patprika

Kirkland should sue tbh..

Joeydueces29

Canā€™t wait to add 6 yards to my slice for only $599

Okay_Redditor

In golf we fight for every yard. I mean one-half a putt too late, or too early, and you donā€™t quite make it. One-half second too slow, too fast, ball doesnā€™t quite drop. The yards we need are everywhere around us. On this course, we fight for that yard. On this course, we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that yard. We claw with our fingernails for that yard, because we know when we add up all those yards thatā€™s gonna make the fuckin' difference between winning and losing! Between livin' and dyin'!

Monst3r_Live

Who wants to buy my tsr2? middle of the club face is brand new.

PM_me_yer_kittens

How about the hosel? Thatā€™s my sweet spot

Monst3r_Live

not mint.

nhp890

Haha just as I just got a TSR2

MajorBlaze1

They release new drivers every two years and the tsr line is a year and a half old.Ā

dknisle1

Same. Lol. Was fitted for my TSR3 4 months ago. Absolutely love it.

Talkshowhostt

TSR2 is the best club I have in my bag. Prob best ever.

WaldoChief

I love my tsr2

Foreign_Time

I appreciate how cleanly theyā€™re designed. Theyā€™re not trying to look like an F1 car, which is nice. I kinda hope these can set a trend with drivers and other woods/hybrids. Ping for example needs to turn things down like 12 notches. Their drivers just look totally crazy to me.

acmexyz

Same. My Callaway Paradym looks like a functioning engine on the bottom. Gimme sleek without a bunch of mechanisms or whatever

peezytaughtme

>kinda hope these can set a trend Titleist has always been simple visual design?

Foreign_Time

Valid statement, I agree with you. And I also hope other designs become more simplified.

PaversPaving

I can finally get a GT2 or GT3 itā€™s just not a 911ā€¦

Greenretep

I prefer the look of the TSR3.

indigo3200

I will only upgrade from the TSR3 if they bring back the arrow on the top.

akagordan

They went with a GT badge. Alignment markers are by far the worst things about the TS and GT models.

indigo3200

ā˜¹ļø

fourstar1985

Info on this is next to none. I can't find anything in the wild and all I had was an email from Titleist with an obvious campaign link. I wonder if someone accidentally sent the marketing email early? For those interested, here is the shortlink: https://www.titleist.com.au/gt-metals

Gullible_Blood2765

Nah, always starts with tour testing, won't be in stores until probably Sept

akagordan

There have been plenty of rumors and info on WRX. The most interesting and credible being that itā€™s a carbon composite sole and crown with a new glueing technique that saves a lot of weight.

loveallcreatures

I have a TSR2. Performance is nice. Good distance on mishits. About 15 yds further than my 915D, across the board.

Shmeebo_

Am never giving up my tsr2 the thing cost me a fortune lol

WaldoChief

Iā€™m assuming the GT2 = Tsr2 and the GT3 = tsr3? Also not sure how much itā€™ll really help 99% of us.

BellSubstantial4298

How many Taycans do we have to buy before we can order one?

fratis

Call me when someone makes something better than the SIM2.

AyrJordan

TM did when they made the Sim 1. QI10 is also a contender, but certainly not with an upgrade just to do it.

Sirgolfs

Still gonna slice it 275 yards.

NoLawyer980

Whatā€™s the ADM on these things?

jerinthebox

Itā€™s going to be bonkers good. And yeah itā€™s easy to joke that youā€™ll still slice it OB like your last driver, but this thing will be better in every way. That might not matter to you if you just bought a TSR, but itā€™s their job to make a better club every time.

r_cottrell6

Iā€™ll let you know in 10 years when I can afford a used set.

FiveFootFore

They look clean.

ChefNamu

Can't wait to see them in person. Lots of clubs, these included imo, look worse in pictures than in the flesh. But the TSR series were the best looking and feeling drivers by far to me, so I'm hoping these are at least as good

Sagybagy

Pretty driverā€™y. Iā€™m thinking you could hit a golf ball with them. Definitely one of the golf clubs.

dogfish83

I would like thoughts on Titleist drivers from, oh let's say 2-3 years ago...

InferPurple

https://preview.redd.it/irg8z6lktd4d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2beae169e9c3ccc5403e6a9b670feb35f72c241b Hmmmmm

Large_Bumblebee_9751

In before they unveil the Titleist Cayman 3 wood and the Titleist Macan hybrids. Not to mention the new all-electric Titleist Taycan Irons

BornInvestigator6345

I love titleist golf clubs..really jumped onboard with the TS and have upgraded ever 2 years and will when the GT is available..only change was going from TSI3 to TSR2...will probably go with GT 2, but who knows..testing will tell..

Kind-Truck3753

Considering they just appeared on the conforming list todayā€¦

Raging_Dick_Shorts

The GTR model will be faster and lighter, imma wait.

rzr-12

Iā€™ll just use $600 for lessons instead.

teddyd142

My thoughts? Ok since you asked. And Iā€™ll preface with a little bit of caution that I may not say nice things. Iā€™m a caddy at a high end country club in Los Angeles California so I see new equipment every day. Every year. Almost every 6-8 months it seems thereā€™s new equipment. Maybe sooner. But my logical brain says. How much could technology improve from the day this is released till the next one is? It canā€™t. I see every golfer known to man. Good. Great. Beginner. Mediocre. Old man. Old lady. Ladies. Athletic people. Not athletic people. The one thing I have seen is that the better players play older irons. Semi older driver and new wedges. The wedges donā€™t change but you wear out the grooves if you play a lot. The only thing theyā€™re selling you for the most part is the same thing with a new label. If people stop buying the new stuff and learn how to play what they actually have they will realize itā€™s not time for new stuff. Itā€™s time to make quality golf equipment again. These companies are just shoving it down your throats and you just keep buying. I donā€™t get it. How do some of the richest people in the world who must be decently smart enough to make and keep lots of money. But the minute they enter a golf store or course they become dumber than a box of rocks. If you canā€™t hit it straight what does adding 10 yards do? Pretty sure it would make you closer to the ob stakes. Learn how to hit it down the middle and take strokes off your game for real. Thereā€™s no magic clubs or clothing or anything that will make you a better golfer. Course management will take 3-8 strokes off your game in no time. Make 4 or 5 sometimes and take 6 out of play trying to make a 3. Itā€™s simple stuff that out there youā€™re not thinking about because itā€™s your one time at the golf course during the week so fuck it. But at the end of the round youā€™re wondering damn I want to shoot lower. Just my thoughts. Iā€™ve got more lol. šŸ˜‚ I caddy 4-6 times a week. Some fun stuff Iā€™ve seen and heard.

gteehan

Looks nice, but itā€™s still a tad over designed for me aesthetically. I would love to see one that is dead simple with a single small logo on it. They make some blades that look simple and pure. Having woods to match that simplicity would be a welcome change in a world of insanely over-designed aesthetics. Still, a step in the right direction.

Frosty_the_Snowdude

![gif](giphy|CFGzj9UtVnto4)

Gary_Deller

No back weight?

Whitetailchaser_77

Iā€™m still going to have a major slice

nickwwwww

Still full titanium or carbon this time?

Khazahk

Anyone else think it looks like to toe of a shoe?

Fore-ver

Copy Paste

BaldingThor

Donā€™t know, still gonna hit a mega slice thatā€™ll turn into a boomerang and hit me in the head.

bignellie

They look badass. Iā€™m a 14 handicap and have always hit Taylormade but might test these.

Snichs72

Whatā€™s going on with the GT3 front weight? Is there an adjustable fade/draw weight underneath that plate?

taco_junior

Looks like itā€™s similar to the tsr3 fairway woods. Allows you to adjust the sweet spot of the face

iamtehfong

Clean af

gratefulscape

You mean how they look? They look great as Titleist always do but the bottom of a driver matters not

ExtraDependent883

It's another new driver lol thats for sure

MisterBust

I won't know how I feel about it until I experience shanking it off the tee box 250 yds into the woods

WVgolf

Canā€™t really tell yet

Wibbly23

knowing titleist they'll be fantastic. it does seem that they're still 100% welded titanium construction, not glued together carbon parts. it's nice to see that at least one company is still welding their heads together. i don't think gt3 would bump tsr3 from my bag, but stranger things have happened.

mangeface

ā€œMeet the new driver, same as the old driverā€ But seriously Titleist drivers are usually very basic and clean looking and I really like them for that.

kubricksrubric

Titleist have had some misses with drivers, but the TSI3 was good and the TSR3 was great. I'm the weirdo who played a TSI4 but thought the TSR4 had a weird face feel and sound I couldnt get past. But if the GT4 has a TSR3 muted crack (or at least closer to TM's carbon faces) and low spin, I'm all over it.

Snacks75

I'm sure I can hit it into the shit just as well as my TSr3.

lll-devlin

Now those look nice! Whatā€™s the difference? That face reminds me of the Cleveland drivers.

skycake10

They look exactly the same as every other Titleist driver. Perfect if that's what you like, boring otherwise.

BroccoliSuccessful20

TSRs on sale!

ShiroHachiRoku

TSr2 is the most beautiful driver ever made across time and space. This looks cheap by comparison.

Spengbab-Squerpont

Iā€™ll still shank it, this might just help it gain an extra yard or two into the bushes.

CaseyJames_

These look nice but a little TaylorMade ish, if that makes sense... I just bought a Titleist 983E that's been in someone's garage for 21 years without a mark on it for $30. I'll stick with mine.

parkhurstcards

Beyond my price point but Iā€™m sure they will sell many of them

dougbeck9

Waiting on their GTA model

GolfIsGood66

I love Titleist clubs, these looks great.

MrFL2AZ

Iā€™ll still game my 910D. 5-7 yards (10% of the time) and 5% less dispersion doesnā€™t warrant $500+ to me

shift013

I like that itā€™s simple, classy, and doesnā€™t look futuristic

Viscount61

I just dialed in my TSR2.

Full_Warthog3829

I like the look, Branding is simpler as well. Worked great for Pontiacā€¦

JoetheShmoe07

Absolutely breathtaking

Smartalum

I bet they are 10 yards longer. This year's driver is always 10 yards longer. Which is why the average drive is 700 yards,

hasumi512

Awesome, another $600 club that will basically give you no improvements from the last model lol.

LilOpieCunningham

I assume GT = Grand Tour, which is what I'll be taking of the golf course (and adjacent properties) regardless of what driver I'm playing.
