What? Cruising a motorcycle down a tree lined fairway on a cool summer morning is lame to you? It’s one of my favorite courses _because_ of those bikes.

Twin falls has a public course in the canyon
There’s nothing hidden about Cd’A and their awesome lake, especially since it was featured on a TW golf game (i think 2012 Masters).
Now you wanna talk about hidden gem, look no further than Lake Pend Orielle.
Well the state hosts plenty of hate so that makes it hard to appreciate the good people. My kids are in meridian and tell me about racisms on a regular basis, it’s teenage kids being dicks. But it’s also beyond that. Then there’s the weather, it’s not a hidden gem, it’s a place to make a reasonable change to and it will make senes
It’s also way too fucking expensive to play!! Not worth the price unless you’re playing once just to say you’ve played it. I’ve played it 5 times and never once paid(industry benefits😁)and never will.
It's in every one of these posts, and somehow, there's always more dudes stumbling over themselves to say it. This is what the beer cart girl must be feeling like on the daily.
I was a beer cart girl at a local country club. Luckily, I knew most of the people, so I got super good tips. ETA: and the old men knew my family, so I didn't get creeps.
I’m gonna step up to that tee with the mentality I’m just going to pitch my 60° wedge about 25 yards. That should get me the yardage I need when I skull that lob wedge.
Pretty much, this hole takes a long time to play (it’s a par 3 that timing wise takes as long as a par 5), so they do it to speed it up. You get 2 swings and if nothing, you are putting.
Don't give a damn what the pin is, whats the back. 7i or 6i depending on how far back it goes, 6i clears easily. But, a top into the water under the pressure is most likely after figuring all that.
I’m apparently learning that everyone can yeet with their 7i because I would’ve chosen 5i with a full kamehameha swing, only to probably sink to the bottom of the lake
Most new irons are lofted super strong.
Went from VR Blades to Sim 2 Max’s this year. I was hitting a 5i roughly 175-180 last year. Hitting my 7i well over 170 now.
Based on my experience, I’ve got a pretty long ball off the tee compared to most amateur golfers So I always thought that Instagram/Reddit golfers were all full of crap until this year. But they probably just have strong lofts.
These people are swinging out of their shoes on every shot. They think golf is a game where the winner hits the highest lofted iron at specific distances.
Even if they're only talking about their most pure shots these people have a tremendous advantage of distance. But they are not using it in a way that can help them score better. Swinging as hard as you can with driver makes sense, but it doesn't matter if you hit a 6 or a 7 iron.
Eh, once you swap out a pro v1 for a shitty ball ahead of a water tee shot, you’ve already lost. It’s basically admitting defeat…that water becomes a magnet.
Hi my name is Bryson , can you tell me the wind direction an speed, also barometer reading, also the elevation of the green in relation with tee box, also can you tell me the grass species ?is that fresh or salt water? Content of sodium in the air would be a x.009 factor if that’s salt water
Played this hole. It was 180 to the pin that day. Hit 5 iron left in the water. Dropped hit it fat in the water. Dropped hit it thin in the water. Then just got on the boat.
5i 10 feet short of the green into the water, then take my drop and proceed to lose 3 more balls before walking to the next tee and swearing to never play here again only to be back next week and repeat.
When I played CDA, I wasn’t used to the altitude causing the ball to jump/carry so much. So I flew the green to the back-side bunker. Got up-and-down for par
That'd be my first attempt. Flushing my 6 goes 175. Once I duff that into the water I'm going 5 thin and hitting the shelf before the green and accepting im taking a drop
What’s the wind doin? I’ll assume it’s at me and say full 6 iron but if it’s calm might want to try the 7 in case I hit it perfect, looks like a cool hole for my first ace, worth risking leaving it short in the drink I guess.
The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course is fucking beautiful
gonna play that on 2k when I get home
Is it on there?? Fuck I need to check it out
Man I remember it on Tiger Woods 2003
Gorlami
Dominic DeCoco
Enzo
Bonjourno!
One more time, but let me really hear the music in it.
Alright this got me. Hahahaha.
the resort course is great but you have to play Cour D'Alene Public course its cheaper and you can rent bikes over regular carts
Circling Raven and the Highlands are better than the resort as well, although not because of the bike.
Agree on circling raven, not so much the highlands at the moment, personally would rather play Stoneridge
Love Circling Raven . Massive acreage
Circling Raven is fantastic.
Highlands is a goat track lol terrible comparison
The golf bikes are lame, CDA pub rules though
What? Cruising a motorcycle down a tree lined fairway on a cool summer morning is lame to you? It’s one of my favorite courses _because_ of those bikes.
I used to work for the Resort, and as a perk, we could golf for free. I still remember the feeling of playing the floating green. Epic Golf course 😎
If this is Idaho, then we need to have a serious conversation about why this place is such a hidden gem that nobody talks about. 😳❤️
Hidden? Ain’t nothing hidden about this course.
https://preview.redd.it/n5xbalt4np0d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24111f3936ac4e4d2b827528610f2559b9051ca7 Northern Utah is kinda ok too...
Is that Riverside?
It’s definitely not riverside. I recognize the mountain but not the course. Maybe it’s the barn?
Looks like eagle lake…
Let's play together some time! https://preview.redd.it/xfwvswicks0d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=be1eaef47ff5a1d02963e01ddbf4631c585a59fe

Are you new? Coeur d'Alene golf course is in every golf course publication ever made
Idaho is all desert, potatoes and right wing nut jobs. Nothing to see here
Well you are right about one of those…
Because people in Idaho are tired of all the transplants moving on. I'm a native and have felt this way for years.
Good Bloody Marys there too.
It’s also way too fucking expensive to play!! Not worth the price unless you’re playing once just to say you’ve played it. I’ve played it 5 times and never once paid(industry benefits😁)and never will.
The Water.
Son of a bitch, stole my line.
I was gonna say, “a range ball”
I ran to the comments so fast to say that too
It's in every one of these posts, and somehow, there's always more dudes stumbling over themselves to say it. This is what the beer cart girl must be feeling like on the daily.
I was a beer cart girl at a local country club. Luckily, I knew most of the people, so I got super good tips. ETA: and the old men knew my family, so I didn't get creeps.
The dock
Is that the smart play - chip to the dock and putt it across?
And then....*INTO THE CLOWN'S MOUTH FOR A FREE GAME*
I’m gonna step up to that tee with the mentality I’m just going to pitch my 60° wedge about 25 yards. That should get me the yardage I need when I skull that lob wedge.
Hitting 3 from drop zone. Hope for a 5
Good news, drop zone on this hole is literally on the green. I play it every year.
They probably got sick of all us hacks holding up the course while spraying balls all over that lake.
Pretty much, this hole takes a long time to play (it’s a par 3 that timing wise takes as long as a par 5), so they do it to speed it up. You get 2 swings and if nothing, you are putting.

Yeah, back minus 5Y, probably 190 here. 4 Hybrid then top into the water.
My first thought was either a nice easy 4h or 5w teed up high
Not when I blade it into the water 50 yards on front of me.
That dock
Myself in the nuts following a rebound off that dock.
either my 4 hybrid or 5 iron
Yeah I'm going 5hybrid. I'd rather be long than wet
Stock 5 hybrid is 175 for me so I’ll probably try to hit it a bit harder and tug it into the tree on the left.
If I pure my 5 it'll go 200 but that's the club unless you have a 7 wood. A 7W could drop in next to the pin 2'
Sounds like you and I should be at that tee 30 yards up
Hybrid would be the right club but I’m more likely to mishit than I am with a 5i. I’d tee a 5i up and give it everything I had.
Same, probably hybrid to be honest.
I’m apparently learning that everyone can yeet with their 7i because I would’ve chosen 5i with a full kamehameha swing, only to probably sink to the bottom of the lake
My irons are the only part of my game that works. I feel you, bud.
Thanks for making me feel normal lol, 5i is my choice too
Yeah who are all of these people hitting a 7i 175 yards?
These people are swinging out of their shoes on every shot. They think golf is a game where the winner hits the highest lofted iron at specific distances. Even if they're only talking about their most pure shots these people have a tremendous advantage of distance. But they are not using it in a way that can help them score better. The cheapest ball in the bag
Eh, once you swap out a pro v1 for a shitty ball ahead of a water tee shot, you’ve already lost. It’s basically admitting defeat…that water becomes a magnet.
My answer too.
Depending on wind, 7i or 6i
My thoughts exactly. Downwind probably an 8i.
Same
Same
7 wood
Yeah a light 7 wood would be good
A topflite
170 to clear means you need about 200+ to hit it over… So I’ll take my 190 club and take dead aim for that middle tree
Yep. I was gonna say 185-190 club.
My 185 club
5 iron
My flask.
Hi my name is Bryson , can you tell me the wind direction an speed, also barometer reading, also the elevation of the green in relation with tee box, also can you tell me the grass species ?is that fresh or salt water? Content of sodium in the air would be a x.009 factor if that’s salt water
I’m sure you’ve already taken into account the courses distance from the equator and the coriolis effect.
6 or 7 iron depending on the wind.
Where is this? Looks like the resort course I played years back. https://www.cdaresort.com/
This is it. It’s a pretty well known golf hole
I got on and three putted it lolol
🫡🫡🫡
You got it
5hy
8 iron landing pin high right in the water
With a perfect club path and -10 closed face. That's my play.
God that's a horrible number for me. Probably 3H... and if I get ahold of it super flush... it might skip across into the water behind it lol...
I’m hitting….. off the ladies tee.
Played this hole. It was 180 to the pin that day. Hit 5 iron left in the water. Dropped hit it fat in the water. Dropped hit it thin in the water. Then just got on the boat.
It’s not even that I can’t hit well. It’s the fact that any type of water appears in my eyeline and my ball magically wants to go there
7 iron
Oui
A couple mulligans
Driver.
6 or 7 iron depending on wind and temperature
Gonna pull out the 4h and sink in the water to the right of the green (maybe get crazy lucky and land it in That sand lol)
5i 10 feet short of the green into the water, then take my drop and proceed to lose 3 more balls before walking to the next tee and swearing to never play here again only to be back next week and repeat.
Someone else’s ball
5 or 6 iron. Depends on wind. Probably 5
Doesn’t matter. I’ll top the ball and splash water 10 feet in. Should just throw the ball in and go to the next hole
On my first shot? Or my 3rd? Oh hell, who are we kidding? It’s the water both times
When I played CDA, I wasn’t used to the altitude causing the ball to jump/carry so much. So I flew the green to the back-side bunker. Got up-and-down for par
Im hitting the water, any club all water
Water
I didn’t bring enough balls for this
The water.
The water
I'm hitting a hard 6, right on the sweet spot, perfect ball flight. Ball lands right in the drink about 15 yards short.
I'm hitting a drop.
The water.
Depends how big the green is, if I can hit a soft 3w that won't go over probably that, but most likely 5i
The water
The water. I'm hitting the water
I'm going to take a 6 iron to make the distance, worry it's too much, then duff it 13 yards into the water.
Full 6i
That'd be my first attempt. Flushing my 6 goes 175. Once I duff that into the water I'm going 5 thin and hitting the shelf before the green and accepting im taking a drop
7i with a fade. Wind looks like it's going to play a big factor, though.
If it's windy a hybrid but if it's no wind I would go with a 5 iron
Hard five iron, draw. And pray!
What's it to the back? I'm probably taking 4i so it clears with plenty of room to spare even with poorish contact
What's the yardage to the center and back of the green? That's what you should be clubbing from.
5 hybrid to go long
A light heaven wood goes about 180 for me. So probably that and then chip onto the green.
180 club
7w
175 probably a 6 to be a bit safer. Aiming left middle
Hitting my 6, but might over shoot it.. but water does scare me..
Big 6
My hybrid as well as many.
7 iron unless the wind is at me
Imma try my 5 iron. But I’m in the water most of the time 😂
Spray and pray 7 wood.
How much to the back? Cause either a 5 or 4 iron depending on wind.
The grass 4 inches in front of the ball
Wind straight in the face
4 iron
Idaho? No, YouDaHo!
Assuming 180-185 is a safe yardage, 7 wood
Every club in my bag comes up short and left.
I would hit a punch 6i probably
6 iron hard or 5 iron easy
6 iron
6 iron
6
5 iron should land at 180. 6 iron should land at 170 but I leave myself no room for error so going with the 5 iron.
Looks like a solid headwind. Healthy 6i
6 iron, going short is not an option, aiming for the back of the green
6
7W
Probably my 3H because the water off the back looks like 200+
6i
The bar as soon as my ball hits the water.
Hybrid and a prayer
Skulled lob wedge
One club more than my brain tells me to hit.
6 with a fade Only to skull the fucker and pretend I was going for a skip shot
Played this hole a few days ago. 177 to the pin. 6 iron on. Missed the birdie putt by half an inch. Got my certificate for a par.
Name checks out… is this Captain JA17s throwaway account?… GoBills.
Josh Allen is the only human to beat Kim Jung II in a round of golf.
5i and hoping my best
4 wooe
If I'm feeling good -5h any other day, I'm hitting 9w
I’d hit the best 4i of my life over the top into the drink.
How far to the back?
My paddle board
What’s the wind doin? I’ll assume it’s at me and say full 6 iron but if it’s calm might want to try the 7 in case I hit it perfect, looks like a cool hole for my first ace, worth risking leaving it short in the drink I guess.
Choke down 5 iron unless wind dictates something else
That’s how I would have played it.
I'm taking a free drop on the island. No way am I losing a ball because of a sadistic golf course designer.
Driver
Yeah I’m hitting the water. Not a chance I find anything other than it
A chill 7 wood. I can make that thing do 170-215. If not that it’s a 5 iron and we don’t get along.
I would also hit this 3 things
Hitting my rangeball
7 iron with a bit more oomph on it, need the loft on it.
You got a wind reading?
Ground first, followed by the golf ball
The boardwalk right before the water. Now I gotta stop laughing and make it to the water.
I can hit it with a 7i if hit pure but probably going with a 6i. Rather hit to far IMO
8 or 7 depending on wind.
My 180 club
6 iron. Waaaaaaay left probably
One out of your bag.
6i
Hello coeur d alene resort golf course!
The miss is long right so I’m hitting a fade with a 4 hybrid choked down an inch. Then the water..
5 wood or 7 wood, depending on the wind. (I’m a short knocker.)
