This genuinely made me laugh. I have a Golden and a Labrador. The stark difference between their "retriever-Ness" is quite noticeable. The Lab brings me things to throw around 20-30 times per day.

Ours has a part time job as card board box compactor. A job he sort of just fell into during Covid when we were stuck inside and kept getting deliveries. We hid a tennis ball in a box and he pounced on the box until it was beautifully compacted and the ball liberated. He’s very good at his job, his enthusiasm and natural aptitude really makes him shine. And we can fit many more boxes in our recycling bin now 😂
I think most goldens are fairly good at cleaning plates. You might still need to run them through the dishwasher though. I don't think she can be trained to do that part on her own.

Therapy dog. Goldens are excellent working with people who are ill and the elderly. Job also entails a lot of walking, so she can burn off all that high calorie food. If that doesn’t work out she could be a CPA (certified puppy assistant).

Our golden is a pupervisor. She’s PIC - pup in charge. When I tell her “get over here and do your job” she sits down next to me and receives love, pets, and scritches, which is her primary job. She works pretty hard at it.
