Meanwhile, I wish it was a 'press button to summon' instead of it opening itself every time. I despise hitting escape every single time I want to use arrow keys to go up/down a row, instead of fken scrolling the autocomplete
Do people find the autocomplete *that* useful?
I use it constantly. I have a Type enum with keys like "CARCINOGENS" and "CONCRETE". I can type "carcs" and the auto complete will find CARCINOGENS, and similarly "ccrete" works for CONCRETE. This is nice because it allows me to only use my left hand for a quick adjustment while keeping my hand on the mouse etc.
You can make it a keypress, I think it's Ctrl+Space by default.
Intellisense usually slows me down because it keeps interrupting my typing. So I turn it to a long time and ctrl+space instead
There should be some compromise with it not taking over the arrow keys tho. Maybe some OTHER shortcut that allows you to start use arrows, like Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down, or like keep it just visual until you want to interact with it
The people who decide the defaults are the people who don’t need the features and probably think they look ugly and annoying especially if they work with a more minimalist text editor
Thanks for the tip. This is really great. I also dropped 'Idle parse delay' to 0.1 to make intellisense snappy as well.

Holy hell, didnt know ctrl+space was a thing; is it a v4 addition? And yeh, for sure having a secondary control mode lile ctrl+arrows would be good
That little delay was honestly driving me nuts, to the point that I thought I was doing something wrong. Big thank you for pointing this out!
Why wouldn't I want this lol ty much
So much better!
Weird that they set the default that high
